You clearly didn't understand a movie. That one sequence is definitely one of the "wildest" parts of the whole thing.

The way the H. Fund picked Frank for the role is exactly what separates the true geniuses (like Sergio) from everyone else... I totally agree that he might be the greatest villain ever put on screen (there are three documentaries about the film on one of the DVDs, keep an eye out for the short interview with Bond... what a phenomenal actor 🙏 )
When a guy kills a child with a smile on his face, he’s pretty much guaranteed to be one of the most chilling villains of all time, even if Angel Eyes (played by Van Cleef) also took a kid out in a way that felt good, bad, or just plain evil
wearytinker8 said:The couple in "Irreversible" actually played husband and wife in real life, too. Which makes me wonder how the director even convinced him to sit there while that disgusting creep spends ten minutes assaulting her and grabbing at her... If a director ever pitched something like that to me, I’d probably lose my mind.
If you were pulling in money like Monica, you wouldn't be punching anyone.
Blue Velvet is a perfectly serene movie right up until Frank Booth (Hopper) shows up and completely shatters the world. He’s easily one of the most depraved psychopaths ever put on screen, with a terrifying obsession for torture and violation.
Se7en – you've got this mysterious killer stalking people based on the seven deadly sins, but the sheer brutality of his methods—like hacking off a hand or delivering a severed head in a box—is just absolute madness.
Schindler's List features one of the most monstrous villains in cinematic history, Amon Goeth. It’s honestly one of the best performances I've ever seen; in my opinion, Ralph Fiennes was robbed of an Oscar for this. He tortures and kills with such calculated cruelty that you can't help but loathe him. A prime example is when he orders the execution of an innocent woman, and even after realizing she wasn't actually guilty, he just shrugs and says: "Kill her anyway." Pure evil.
Unforgiven – watching Morgan Freeman get whipped to death is brutal.
Misery – what is there to say aboutAnnie Wilkes? Once you see that movie, that name is going to haunt your thoughts for a long time.
And I'm with you on Reservoir Dogs, Saw and Marathon Man.

As for Jack Sparrow, if someone puts him at number one, they clearly don't know movies; he's barely cracking the top 50 in my book. And Hannibal Lecter at only tenth? That’s just sad. Also, did anyone notice if Sam Rothstein was even mentioned somewhere?
Give me a break. Joe Pesci completely outshined Robert De Niro in that flick. Nicky Santoro—that scene with the pen in the neck was brutal. 🙏
Ali največi im je promašaj što nema Virgil Hilts iz The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 🙂 I they probably should have thrown in Amon Goeth from Schindler's List too; you don't just forget a character like that 😂

Jack Sparrow at number one? If we're doing that, then why aren't Jason Bourne, Bridget Jones, Annie Hall, or Shrek on there? Frodo making the top 50 feels a bit much. I mean, sure, they're fine characters, but in the top 50?😕 I was actually looking for names like Michel Poiccard, Rick Deckard, or Catherine Tramell on this list. Personally, I'd swap these guys out: Mark Renton 👎 Begbie 👍 Neo 👎 Ag.Smith 👍 Princess Leia 👎 Nurse Ratched 👍
Also, Harry Callahan definitely deserves a spot in the top 20. And where's Doc Brown from Back to the Future? Looking toward the future👎 , seeing the Man with No Name sitting all the way at 81 is a stretch. 😕 I'd probably trade Mad Max for someone like Riggs. What do you all think?
Citizen Kane 🙏 Touch of Evil The Godfather 🙏 The Good, the Bad and the Ugly A Clockwork Orange (those first 10 minutes 🙏 🙏) Goodfellas - Joe Pesci and the kitchen knife Saw Reservoir Dogs Memento American History X 🤣
Nathan Myers28 said:Give me one good reason why Braveheart is actually bad—because if it is, it’s still better than Reservoir Dogs, and honestly, Mel Gibson would take Tarantino down in a fight any day.
Nathan Myers28 said:Honestly, go ahead and ban me—I truly don't care—but anyone claiming Braveheart is a bad movie is clearly losing their mind, and saying Reservoir Dogs is anything less than a masterpiece is just plain wrong.
Nobody actually said Braveheart was a bad movie; we’re just pointing out it doesn't hold a candle to The Usual Suspects or Se7en. Sure, Forrest Gump is a solid film, but it sits two tiers below Shawshank Redemption and Pulp Fiction. Just look at the IMDb rankings if you need proof:
Claiming Braveheart is better than Se7en is practically a psychiatric red flag. That's if they even realize half the stuff in Braveheart isn't even historically accurate.
Jerry Martin19 said:Honestly, Se7en and The Usual Suspects didn't even snag a Best Picture nomination...
I know they aren't, I'm just saying they're better movies. It’s just like how 1992 Reservoir Dogs didn't get a nomination, yet it's easily ten times better than... Unforgiven
What’s everyone else’s take? In my opinion, they aren't even the worst—I mean, we can all agree that those two definitely don't hold a candle to what should have won. Personally, I think the wins were totally undeserved compared to the other heavy hitters (Se7en, The Usual Suspects)—which, if you ask me, are much better films.
