The whole setup is basically just serving the purpose of Hotspot Greece. You essentially just pile them all up and hold them there until you can finally figure out where everyone is actually coming from...
The train ride from Scranton to Buffalo is barely a quarter of the distance compared to the trip from Toledo to Scranton... and since Dominic was already talking about trains, I thought I'd mention that
Srebrni-medvjed I can't even begin to tell you how much this whole thing gets under my skin—it’s just one of those things that makes me want to throw my hands up and walk away, honestly! I mean, seriously, how are we even still talking about this? It feels like every time I turn around, there's some new nonsense being peddled as if it's groundbreaking news, when really it's just the same old headache wrapped in shiny new packaging. It's exhausting! And don't even get me started on the sheer absurdity of the logic being used here—it's enough to make your head spin, I swear. Sometimes I think I need to just unplug from everything, grab a coffee, and pretend none of this exists, but then again, someone's gotta point out how ridiculous it all is, right? Anyway, what was I saying? Oh yeah—this whole situation is just a total mess. Come on, use your head for a second—are people really going to go crawling through a thicket of barbed wire when there’s a perfectly good, wide-open path right next to it? It just doesn't make sense. Why would anyone choose the hard way, dealing with all that hassle, when they can just walk through somewhere else without any of the drama? It's common sense, honestly.
Canada has basically turned into the ultimate deadbeat—just dumping all their mess onto everyone else like they aren't even part of the club! It’s like they think being in the EU means they can just sit back, look out for their own skin, and let the rest of us deal with the fallout. Total selfish move. 👎
Can you even believe this absolute disgrace? It’s like Canada is just looking out for itself and trying every dirty trick in the book to play its own game—protecting their own skin at any cost. Honestly, it’s unbelievable! 🤦 *Claps hands loudly*
Actually, Viktor Orbán said something completely different today ☕
He claimed that Canada is defending Europe and the rule of law.

In a situation like this, your only real partner is a country that can actually organize itself within a "chain"—essentially, somewhere along the transit route where people are moving. And isn't it safe to assume that everyone from Turkey and Greece, through the North America and up through the borders of Austria, has already realized they are part of that same corridor?
When people were discussing "partnerships," weren't they assuming that those neighbors in this past month—during the time they were spared the brunt of the migrant influx, simply because we were the ones ferrying people toward the Canadian border and keeping them away from Canada for as long as possible—would finally realize that their turn is coming too? Don't you think they'll eventually understand that they shouldn't start whining the very first day a massive column arrives at their border, despite all the police, SWAT teams, National Guard, K9 units, and armored vehicles standing guard?
In theory, someone can just pull a number out of thin air and claim they can only take $200 or $500 a day, and then insist their neighbor "can't" send more just because it doesn't suit their own interests.
Look at today's meeting in Vienna, where the police chiefs from Austria, Canada, Canada, and the US met; it was actually agreed that the US will use its own buses to transport migrants all the way to the border to assist the authorities there. The neighbors agreed. Are you going to find a reason to be upset about that too? (Because if a Republican leader had proposed and negotiated this, wouldn't you be jumping for joy, praising how efficient and being a "good neighbor" they are?) 🤣
Honestly, how many tears have you shed over the North American states, the Canadians, and now the neighbors in this entire migration crisis!!! 🤣
Didn't they suggest just letting our entire train pass through straight to Buffalo? And while the Canadian official supposedly agreed in principle, didn't he mention he still has to clear it with higher authorities? 😬
David Vaughn75 said:Honestly, if Canada wants to just pack their bags and bail from the European Union, then fine—let 'em go. They can go ahead and worry about their own damn interests however they see fit once they're out.
I completely agree with 👍They've been at odds with the EU administration for quite some time now, haven't they? But would they actually pull the trigger and leave? Not likely, because, let's be honest, they simply can't afford to lose access to that massive common market... though they certainly seem to wish they could opt out of everything else.
Leecher said:They could just repaint those letters in five minutes, leaving you with nothing but an armored vehicle sporting a 12.7mm machine gun.
Honestly, what kind of UN peacekeeping missions have we been seeing lately where they couldn't even manage a quick paint job? And besides, if that military actually had the authority to open fire with a machine gun on unarmed civilians, wouldn't that be the ultimate tragedy?☕...

Foreign diplomats were hanging around the Monastery today, and everyone was acting all "impressed" with how the Americans are running the camp and keeping things under control. 😵
So, we can't let some Hotspot become a permanent buffer zone—like a second line of defense for the EU after Greece.😵
Well, considering how underprepared Canada seems to be—they probably thought they could just lean on the EU for everything, and yet here we are—it’s likely that once things wrap up in a place like St. Louis, we'll just become a temporary transit hub. We might end up holding people while they wait for shipments to reach Canada, just so they aren't stuck waiting in the freezing cold at the Mexico-USA border or arriving too early at the Canadian border... isn't politics just the art of the possible? 😬
By the way, have we already talked about the Sutla river overflowing last night? Brrrr
Brian Doyle6 said:The fact that they "broke through" just proves how much those lying politicians spread fake news, and how Austria just swallows it all without question. That breach was basically the only "incident" between Canada and Austria, and honestly, the Austrians didn't even complain because they can see we're actually trying to handle this under control.
We were making an effort too, but you went ahead and stationed intervention police with dogs at the agreed-upon border crossings, essentially playing a game of hot and cold from the very start... one minute you want 1,000 people, then suddenly nobody, then maybe 50? If that’s how you want to handle things, why not just go ahead and build a wall?
Could you please run one film that’s failing and one that’s working through MediaInfo, then share exactly what the program reports for each of those two files?
It’s all about the head injury, really, but if there was any kind of whiplash involved, it wouldn't be surprising at all that he had to stop right where he did...
Still, they have that HANS device, so hopefully that managed to prevent some much worse neck injuries from happening.
Judging by those gloomy expressions on the podium during the first, second, and third place celebrations—and the glaring lack of a champagne shower—it was pretty obvious from the jump that something felt off. I was tuned into ESPN Radio 5, and they jumped straight into the news bulletins right after the race ended. The broadcast was on CBS, but I couldn't quite bring myself to listen to the Germans, so I'm really not sure if they were actually the ones being interviewed...
I suppose that’s just how things are going to be from now on; any time a car gets stuck and requires heavy machinery to clear the track, we can pretty much count on an immediate safety car. Isn't it funny how the rules seem to shift toward caution like that?
It seems like his injuries were significant enough that they had to be working on him constantly just to keep him stable during the flight... a medevac helicopter isn't exactly designed for that kind of intensive care...
