So, I’m actually reading this book right now and—full disclosure—it’s definitely teen drama territory. A bit sappy and cringe at times? Yeah. But honestly, the pacing is insane. It’s super fast-paced and I’m digging it. I really think this movie could bring something fresh to the big screen, which feels like a rare win lately. The books move at breakneck speed—one mystery gets solved in a heartbeat, then boom, a new one pops up. The settings, the timelines, the characters—everything just keeps shifting. For me, it’s just perfect, mindless fun when you want to zone out. 🙂I’m betting the movie follows suit, especially since they’ve got those talented young actors lined up (you know, the kid from Sweeney Todd, plus Lena, Jonathan, Lilly, and a whole bunch of others) 🙂 I'm definitely watching. 🙂
Ugh... the movie is just straight-up weird! Unconventional? Yeah, that’s an understatement. The characters are bizarre, the vibe is off, and the whole moral compass of the world is just... skewed. Honestly—at certain points—I could actually see something like this happening in the near future! 🙂 So yeah, I don't know. It’s interesting, I'll give it that. All those scenes you guys might find "unreal"... in that specific universe, they feel totally plausible to me. That’s the trippiest part about it—once you buy into the logic of that system, it works, even if it makes zero sense in the real world. Basically, it left a great impression. Some funny moments too (the action hero bit, lol), and the soundtrack is killer—it kind of hits and misses, but it definitely helps you get into that headspace. It's clearly the director's first big outing, so he’s still got some growing to do... but the guy could definitely make some cool stuff down the road. 🙂

Great, just what we needed—another remake. But this one? This might actually be the worst one yet. Honestly, I’m pretty pissed off about this... how do you take one of the best comedies from the last few years and turn it into... a Black comedy? 👎
I live for movies like this... 🙂 honestly, most Tim Burton flicks fit the vibe too—take The Machinist, for instance. It’s a top-tier drama, sure, but man, it is depressingly dark. 🙂 Then there's Mirror Mask, that Neil Gaiman animation; it’s got that slightly moody feel, kind of... gray? Like Coraline. 🙂 Coraline is a killer animated movie, though the book is way darker and creepier if you ask me... 🙂 then you've got Pi, which is more on the psychotic side, I guess... So, if you're into this kind of stuff, you seriously need to check out the musical Repo! The Genetic Opera. It's an awesome rock opera with a killer atmosphere, even better songs, and a super engaging plot... 🙂 oh, and V for Vendetta—definitely the best in this "genre." It’s wild, totally intense, and just hits all the right notes for what a movie should be! 🙂

Between the health issues, losing the love of her life, and watching everyone walk away while her dignity just vanished... it was brutal. But hey, even after paying the price for those massive life blunders, she actually found some joy in the little things... right at the very end. Which just goes to show... that's life, I guess! 😉 I’m not impressed by the fact that she struggled with drugs; I’m impressed that she actually clawed her way back and found something positive after being completely wrecked. If she had just died from an overdose without ever turning it around, then the movies and her whole life story would’ve been pointless—then I could've called her just another spoiled rich girl. But this way? She showed the raw reality of both her misery and the happiness she found in the middle of it all... 🙂

There are plenty of decent films out there, sure, but they usually take the cheap route—trying to force emotions through over-the-top acting rather than letting the events themselves tell the story. 🙂 I was actually debating this one with a friend yesterday, and man, the emotional range is wild—everything from heartbreaking to beautiful. It just captures life as it is, which is where the true depth lies. I think I connect with her so much because, honestly, I see myself in her. She seemed so happy on the surface, yet she was so deeply miserable and fed up with everything—all those frustrating people constantly crowding her space. That’s what really got to me. When we were talking about it, I told my friend that the movie has so much layers that most people won't even get it. Some will probably just dismiss her as some spoiled socialite whose actions made zero sense—but that's only because they aren't willing to actually dive into the story. For me? Every single move she made, every escape attempt, every struggle... I felt it all. I put myself in her shoes, and honestly, I don't know if I would've done anything differently myself. 🙂 But people just didn't get it. She was way ahead of her time, struggling with her sexuality, her health, and people constantly walking out on her... right until the end. Even so, she wasn't just "unhappy"—she was genuinely trying to find some beauty in life before the drugs finally took their toll. 😢 And then there's that "dance" at the end—when she says she knows God has a plan for her in the next life. It’s such a beautiful way to show how she found healing and learned to find joy in the little things, even when the big picture was a mess.
The best part, though? Angelina managed to channel all those raw emotions so flawlessly. She proved she's a seriously talented actress—even if I can't say I was ever a huge fan of hers before this. 🙂
So... there isn't a thread for this movie yet, but honestly? It deserves its own space... 🙂
Anyway—just finally sat down and watched it for the first time, and man, I am floored. Total 10/10. Easily one of the best things I've ever seen.
So, as some of you might know, Angelina Jolie plays the lead... and seriously, it’s hands down her best performance. Period. She nailed every single emotion—it was actually kind of insane how good she was. The soundtrack hits just right, too. It perfectly sets the mood for the story, which is already top-tier... Everything about this was executed perfectly. I can't find a single flaw—and trust me, I usually find something wrong even with movies I love. 🙂
Oh, and... just a heads up, I've been meaning to watch this for like two or three years now. Finally got around to it, and I'd tell anyone to go see it.
Personally, I actually dig it—that whole vision of the future is pretty cool. Just look at Facebook or The Sims... if you ask me, this movie is basically the logical next step for those kinds of games, showing us exactly where we're headed. It sounds wild but totally plausible that in a few years, Facebook will roll out some webcam integration so we can all just stare at each other whenever we want... 😉 and play games like that? 🙂 Tech is definitely heading in that direction! So, I wouldn't say the movie isn't smart—even if it’s not the absolute smartest thing I’ve ever seen...
Plus, the plot is actually pretty interesting, right? It’s unique and really well executed! And the acting is top-tier—Dexter was killer! 😁 hh... and Gerard Butler, obviously! 🙂 Mad respect to the guy! 🙂 All in all, I think it's a great flick. 8.2/10! 🙂
Honestly, I dug this movie—really liked it overall. The story hits, and the characters actually make sense—you get why they’re doing what they’re doing. My only real gripe? It lacked that psychological tension toward the end that it really needed... such a missed opportunity. But all in all, definitely worth a watch, maybe even twice. 😉 7.8/10

and yeah.... Cameron Diaz in Being John Malkovich! 😁 she’s way too good in that one—total powerhouse—even though I can't stand her otherwise..... such an atypical role and a great flick, so, a positive flop... 😉 oh, and uhm, I actually liked her in My Sister's Keeper too... could be considered a bit of an outlier for her, but that first one is definitely the bigger outlier! 🙂
Just watched it and I’m still reeling—this movie is freaking incredible!!!!!! Seriously, it ties the whole plot together so perfectly, and honestly, every single sequel just makes more sense as you go along! 🙂 In my book, this is one of the greatest film franchises ever made! 🙂 I am dying for the seventh installment, and I truly don't get why people trash these sequels. Sure, they get complicated, but I actually love that—it’s not just mindless gore, which I'm totally down for, but here you actually get a well-constructed story too! 🙂 My favorite part is how they drop hints for future movies as early as the first one, and it's happening again here—like that scene where Jigsaw's wife puts a package with some kind of razor blade in a mailbox, and we have no clue what's going on? That's basically a massive spoiler for the next one or even the eighth part... those little details drive me crazy... and they did the same thing in previous movies, which just means the narrative keeps getting tighter and tighter! 😉 They've announced eight movies total, so that's it... meaning they already have the scripts lined up and know exactly where they're going, allowing them to plant all these breadcrumbs earlier... 😉
And yeah, the Saw franchise is the perfect mix of blood and brains for me, so you can bet I'm watching every single one! To be fair, the fourth one let me down at first, until I rewatched it alongside the fifth (and the others, right?)—then it finally clicked how awesome it is because it's loaded with hints too! 😉 So... my hot take is that everyone should watch them in order, ideally after seeing the others once, because everything will click into place and blow your mind! 😉

So, here’s the deal... my boyfriend and I just realized one of us passed some lice along to the other. :/ So yeah, we went on a massive drugstore run for shampoos, shaved our heads—it's a whole thing—and honestly? It seems like we're mostly over the hump now. A few more treatments and we should be golden. But the real question is: can lice actually migrate into your hair from your eyebrows? And is there any way to get them out of the hair without having to shave it all off again?? Ugh. Also, regarding the itching—we're both feeling it in our hair and skin, but since we both deal with psoriasis, it might just be that acting up. Either way, it's not a total disaster, just a little scratch here and there throughout the day. Anyway, if anyone has dealt with these nasty little pests or knows anything useful, I'd really appreciate the help...
