I think I’m going to take the under on Orlando. From what I can see, the Miami Heat are struggling quite a bit when it comes to perimeter defense and guarding the three-pointer. Orlando is playing with a lot of momentum right now, and honestly, that 9.5 line looks like more than enough cushion to cover.
He miscategorized those four parameters. He put Serge Ibaka together with Tim Duncan (those free throws were painful to watch) and then paired Monta Ellis with Carlos Boozer (he’ll likely settle at 16; he missed two free throws, what a mess)
Well then, I think it’s worth taking the over on Deron Williams.
EDIT:
Played:
Carlos Boozer over 16.5 Deron Williams over 23.5 Tim Duncan over 13.5 Monta Ellis under 22.5
Boozer dropped 23 in his last outing, and the Brooklyn Nets gave up 24 to him last time out; without Robin Lopez available, there isn't anyone left to effectively cover Carlos. Tim Duncan put up 13 against the LA Clippers in his last game, but his shooting percentage was poor; since the San Antonio Spurs aren't playing tomorrow, Timmy will likely see enough minutes to clear this line. Deron Williams is in good form and should be able to beat this number, especially since Derrick Rose is out tonight, meaning Gordon Watson will likely be tasked with guarding him late in the game—and he's not the best defender. As for Monta Ellis, he's been well covered by the defense lately.
Robin Lopez might be back in the lineup tonight, and Derrick Rose could be too.
If Robin Lopez ends up sitting this one out, taking the over on Deron Williams at 23.5 looks like a very tempting play.
I've got the LA Clippers beating the San Antonio Spurs, but I'm really eyeing Tony Parker over, or perhaps pairing him against Stephen Curry in a head-to-head matchup.🤔
I’d personally go with the under on Lin. Amar'e Stoudemire is back, and you could tell from the last game alone that he’s playing at a completely different level. There's also a chance they just steamroll the Hornets, which would give that young phenom a much-needed breather after scoring those two buckets earlier.
Nicholas Chase34 said:The Bucks are currently sitting at 19th in the league regarding three-point shooting percentage (35.6%).🙂 http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat...hree-point-pct
Thanks. If Orlando ends up crushing anyone, it’ll be strictly because they’re living by the three. They don't really have a cohesive plan beyond that. It's the same way the Heat tore things up; they were even worse back in '21.
I'm going to sit down now and run through some independent analysis. I'll likely suggest Jeremy Lin under immediately if it turns out Carmelo Anthony is actually playing tonight. :-)
Yeah, I’ve put in more hours watching Ron too. He really loves nothing more than tearing into the Bulls whenever their star player isn't around to hold things down.
D-Rose mentioned he didn't feel any pain during the shootaround. But let's be real—he was just shooting free throws. Plus, he explicitly stated, "I wasn’t able to run any." #Bulls
The man can't even run. I highly doubt he'll see any action tonight. 😬
The odds just dropped. We're looking at a solid 7.5 point spread for the Chicago favorites. I’d suggest holding off until we get an update on Rose's status first.
Coach Tom Thibodeau mentioned that a specialist is working closely on Rose's recovery process as he deals with those lower back spasms that have kept him out of action for three consecutive games. Honestly, it wouldn't be much of a shocker if Rose stays on the sidelines for Thursday night's matchup against the Celtics.
"He's still day-to-day," Thibodeau noted. "He's just not quite there yet. We'll evaluate his status as we go. He has shown improvement every single day, so we're staying optimistic about the progress." K.C. Trib
Latest update: we should definitely have a definitive answer about an hour before tip-off.
