What else am I supposed to do? 🤷
darkmarlin16 said:Niko didn't actually say what he was expecting from this race🙄
I'm just hoping the DRS breaks so we finally get an actual race☕

Expectations? Honestly, I'm just waiting for Red Bull Racing to finally break down and DNF. Not asking for much 🤷

And maybe for the GOAT to snag another win.

Anyway, looking forward to some decent overtaking and actual racing.
darkmarlin16 said:The race starts at 10:30. What else are you sleeping for at that hour?😕

10:30 is a wild start time. Honestly, I don't think we've seen a slot like this since I started following Formula 1 about ten years ago.

Look, after a full work week, Sunday is my only day to catch up on sleep. Plus, I usually head out on Saturday nights, so sleeping in on Sunday isn't a crime. And with Mirkec acting up this weekend, I’ll definitely be staying up late anyway.🤷

Looks like there will be two total bullshit zones 🙂

between turns 15 and 16, and 3 and 4

🤦

Great, should be plenty of action 👋

Might actually bother tuning into the live broadcast
Well, looks like South Korea shipped their stuff out, so that's one less headache. Doesn't matter though, I'm swapping both for Turkey ☕
Here's another one for you... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKtKxy8zJC4

The setup doesn't look promising, but it might actually be fun since nobody knows this track yet.

Whatever, I doubt I'll be waking up early just to watch a replay.

I’d honestly be fine even if the race started at 3:00 AM.😁

Who cares if it's at 3:00? I'm usually drinking until 5 anyway. That's why getting up at 8:00 feels like death. Like I said, if the race was actually intense, I'd get up, but this? No chance.

It'll work. Of course it will.

I'm definitely sleeping through this. If it were actually a close call, I might bother watching, but otherwise, I'll just set it to download when I wake up. It'll be ready right around lunchtime. ☕

I think you can just walk right in and grab it... probably don't even need to sign up.🤷

Like I said, I grabbed this one from the old US BBC stream at 10:25, the one I was talking about earlier. 🤷

darkmarlin16 said:Is there even a dedicated forum here for downloading stuff?

There are private ones, but you need an invite to get in. It’s not exactly easy to join, and even then, those sites require you to upload content just to stay active. You can't just show up and download everything for free...

ruggedfox28 said:How long does it usually take for a decent torrent to pop up after the race—ideally that US BBC version?

If I recall correctly, it was up by about 10:25. (On a private site, though). That included the full BBC broadcast, interviews, and the post-race press conference. It was roughly 3.7GB in MPEG-2, basically the same quality you get from a satellite feed. Honestly, I was surprised how fast they uploaded it; some people actually have decent fiber optics instead of the garbage upload speeds we deal with here. 🙂

Christian Williams61 said:where's Michael Lee4? 😳 totally wrecked the race 🙂 😁

Two nights of heavy drinking in a row meant I wasn't exactly itching to get out of bed early. I rolled out around 10, grabbed a US BBC recording from a torrent, and let it rip. It was ready right by lunchtime, so I just sat down and settled in. I’d been avoiding the news and social media just to dodge any spoilers, which made the ending pretty intense—especially when Fernando started closing in on Noble.

Honestly, it’s such a shame he didn't have a car this competitive from day one.

mistybear87 said:And again, if it hadn't been for that sand, Hamilton would have been the champion back in 2007 😉

Look, I'm talking about safety here, so cut the nonsense. If that gravel trap had actually done its job, Rubens wouldn't have totaled the car. Bottom line: it’s unacceptable for a car to just fly over a barrier like that and slam into the tires. I'm not saying the barrier shouldn't be there, I'm saying they need to stop the car, not let it skip across the track like a stone on water. 🙂

I only saw Rubens' wreck... it’s wild how he just flew over the gravel like it was nothing more than grass... good luck dealing with actual sand later 🙄

They'll probably look for something they can take flat out through 130R with an open chassis 😬

What happened to that bar, Movie pub if I remember correctly? Are they still hosting watch parties there?
