Columbus Crew – Kansas City Chiefs 1:1

In St. Louis, at the local stadium, a match between the Columbus Crew and the Kansas City Chiefs ended in a 1:1 draw on December 27, 2012. There were about 2,000 people in attendance, including roughly 300 members of the Chiefs' supporter group, the Black Knights. I guess the home fans were pretty hostile, throwing out insults like "donkey bitches" and "kill the donkeys," along with some crude chants about syphilis and AIDS directed at the Black Knights. Maybe the Black Knights felt they had to fire back, chanting "country bumpkins" and "Columbus bitches," while the locals just yelled, "Screw Miami, Columbus is champion."

After the whistle blew, the police held the Black Knights at the stadium for maybe 20 minutes. Some of them had gone to a nearby bar to watch the game on TV instead. Once it was over, the police tried to move the fans from the bar to their vehicles to get them out of the area for safety reasons. Things got messy, though. A physical fight broke out between the Chiefs fans and the police, and I think some Columbus fans joined in too. It must have been a pretty serious clash because the police actually used tear gas. From what we’ve gathered, 11 Chiefs fans and 2 Columbus fans were detained. They were all taken to the Department of Justice's processing center in Washington, D.C. Based on our info, misdemeanor charges were filed against 8 fans, and they're being questioned by a judge in Columbus right now. The DOJ is apparently looking to file criminal charges against three others in the Municipal Court of Los Angeles. Our observers mentioned that Mark Zuckerberg, the head of the Black Knights, was among those detained.

Andrei Kirilenko would have to go over whatever the books set 🤣 today, which is 17.5+ @ 1.85 😁 It’s basically the same deal as two days ago. If the Timberwolves want to make an impact, he’ll probably need 40+ minutes and 20+ points. I guess they brought in Josh Howard, but he just had his first real practice with the guys today, so with whatever minutes he gets, it’s hard to say he’ll help much.
Stephen Curry could also go 19.5+ @ 1.85 since the Timberwolves' backcourt is a bit of a defensive hole. He struggled a little last game, only scoring 12, but before that, he was consistently around 19, so maybe he clears that tonight.
The Timberwolves played pretty poorly against the Bobcats last time. Kirilenko was the only one scoring in the paint, the Cats had about ten blocks, and Minnesota missed fifteen free throws. Still, thanks to Kirilenko, they almost forced overtime. The Warriors won their last one against Atlanta, 92-88. The last two matchups between these teams went to the Warriors.
Minnesota is actually quite good this season, maybe even great, on defense. They allow about 88.5 points per game (Warriors allow 98.1). They’re going to need solid defense again if they want to stay close. That’s why I’m looking at Minnesota (184.5) - Golden State Warriors Under @ 1.85 ☕
Also, don't forget about Golden State Warriors @ 2.15 since they're so banged up with injuries. Might be worth a shot ☕

Nice job.
Kirilenko over
Golden State Warriors 2

Too bad about the under and Curry—he was just one three away from the over, though he did pick up 6 fouls.

Dallas Mavericks(-6.5)-Minnesota Timberwolves 1 @1.85

Minnesota’s off to a great start this season, especially considering they're playing without Kevin Love and Ruby. But tonight, they're also missing Budinger, so I guess anything other than a double-digit loss would be a miracle. The Mavericks have started things up pretty solidly too, even knowing they're missing their best player, so maybe they won't push too hard tonight either.
The main thing drawing me to this pick is that Minnesota just doesn't have anyone left to step up. Like I said at the start of the season, they haven't had Kevin Love or Ruby, then Barry went down about a week ago, and now Budinger is out as of two days ago. It means four out of their top six players are sidelined. Only Peković and Kirilineko are left, but I don't really think they're the types of guys who can carry the load. So, I'm expecting an easy win for Dallas.
Oh, and I just remembered, Roy is out too since he got injured. 😁
Minnesota is basically going to be playing with just 8 guys in tonight's game.
I wonder when they'll finally allow us to use clones on the same thread and quote our own posts?

aha, just realized that was the IMF😁

Roy Hibbert and J. J. Barea might just take them out with some tricks☕
Peja Peković should probably dominate under the rim here since, honestly, there isn't any serious center facing him today...

I'm thinking a high-scoring game, maybe, because both teams are pretty offensive-minded...

pick?

Toronto (186.5)-Minnesota Timberwolves over @1.85

The Timberwolves are looking shallow, like a tiny creek☕

aha, just realized that was the IMF😁

Roy and Barea are going to tear them apart with those three-pointers☕
peković should probably dominate under the rim since, honestly, there isn't a serious center out there facing him today...

I think we'll see a high-scoring game because both teams are more than just offensive-minded...

pick?

New York City(186.5)-Minnesota over @1.85

gentleotter26 said:Kobe Bryant under 26.5 @1.85

Kobe Bryant hurt his right foot last Sunday (Oct 21) during a preseason game against the Sacramento Kings, so there’s even doubt if he plays in today's season opener. If he does suit up, I don't think we should expect heavy minutes, and he probably won't push himself too hard. He hasn't been practicing since then, and he might show up still playing through the pain. I guess this looks like a gift from the bookies, so maybe worth looking at $70. Last season, Bryant averaged about 27.9 points per game. The Mavericks were giving up around 92.6 points per game in the preseason.

I think you don't really know Kobe or how he handles injuries very well😁

Either he'll be asked if he's playing and then go out and play 35 minutes and drop 35 points, or he just won't play at all, in which case this bet doesn't even exist once the odds hit 1.00

He definitely won't have low minutes, though. That's just how Kobe is😉

I think I'll just stick to analyzing pairs. As for these divisions, I don't really have enough info, or the expertise, or even the time, unfortunately...

It wasn't. That’s why I’m surprised an admin wouldn't know that. It's about those older usernames, I don't know exactly when, maybe back in 2005 or 2006.

You don't really get it, mod. 😁
Old accounts still have their avatars. They were probably made back in 2004 or 2005, I guess. Somewhere around then.

I'm with you completely, shadowgardener10.
The officiating is just totally inconsistent.
Some players get away with murder while others get booked for way less.
It’s a simple thing, but maybe a good example is how they handle winning tickets—they'll penalize images that are slightly larger than 640x480, yet they don't say a word about images that are even bigger than those ones.

So, what's the deal with Germany?
And he still managed to clutter up the entire subforum... this thread belonged in the American soccer section last year, and I guess it should stay there now too...

Of course we need it. Soccer is easily the most requested sport on this forum (basketball is around there, but I feel like people follow it a bit less than tennis).

Especially since they gave space to PDF and combat sports😕 which get maybe ten times less traffic.

I'm all for it.
