I have a feeling they’ll "adjust" them just enough 😳 so we can finally be sure the President isn't grooming his own beard.☕

Joseph Stalin was right.

Honestly, I feel for Hofer. And the people in the Republic of Austria. I'm just speechless.

I can't remember the last time I even checked the Daily Journal 😳 honestly, I can't stand watching ORF😳 why on earth would they delete it? If it’s so irrelevant, why was it posted in the first place? 🤔 The whole thing feels incredibly shady to me. ☕

I honestly think we’re looking at some kind of blatant manipulation here. 🤔

Can someone please make sense of this for me? If you look at the Department of Homeland Security site, they’ve even listed the mail-in ballot counts http://wahl16.bmi.gv.at/1605-bw_ov_0.html

And here are today's precinct results, excluding the mail-in ballots: http://wahl16.bmi.gv.at/index.html

I’m not looking at individual precincts anymore; I’m just going by the tallied votes.

So, based on the mail-in ballots, the count is:

Hofer: 257,856 votes
Alexander van der Bellen: 277,671 votes

The precinct results show:

Hofer: 1,937,863 votes
Alexander van der Bellen: 1,793,857 votes

Grand total:

Hofer: 257,856 + 1,937,863 = 2,195,719
Alexander van der Bellen: 277,671 + 1,793,857 = 2,071,618

Or am I missing something? 🤔

Did I mess up the math somewhere? Is this actually a dead heat? 🤔

EDIT: It won't even let me refresh for me... ugh.

It seems to update every ten minutes if you actually pay attention. I can see the difference in the coverage area.

I have this issue where I’m only eloquent when I’m behind a keyboard. 😳 Just so you know, I’m a bit slow when it comes to processing language. 😳

What’s that supposed to mean, "eloquent"?

Just lying 😛—it’s that classic move where someone tries to sound sophisticated when their mouth is moving way faster than their brain. Just dressing up nonsense to make it look smart. 🥳 🙂
Thousands of migrants are trekking north according to TIME

summary free translation :

With the North American route shut down, thousands of refugees left the Idomeneus camp on Monday and started heading north on foot. Migrants looking for alternative ways to cross the border into Mexico are being surrounded and monitored by local police. According to Austrian authorities via TIME, this walking route seems to have been planned well in advance; they were actually handed flyers detailing their new path.

After about five miles, roughly 2,000 refugees crossed the Suva River, located just a few hundred yards from the Mexican border. Eyewitnesses say there are about 2,000 people trying to cross at a spot where the wire fence hasn't been installed yet, per the Associated Press.

I'm done translating... 😳 I'm done thinking. 😳
who's handing out the flyers? 😳

Joseph Mallord William Turner. German Wikipedia claims he belongs to Romanticism. American sources say he’s basically the precursor to Impressionism. On the British sites, they argue it's both 😳—honestly, who knows? It's not my field. 😳

Even ABC touched on this nonsense during one of their recent segments today.
I suppose she was desperate to manufacture some kind of "success" before the elections. The issue is that even the UN condemned the whole refugee exchange thing as a massive violation of asylum rights. It’s a completely misguided policy, if you ask me.

Today they showed more footage of refugees arriving in boats from Turkey to Greece. It caught my eye—it looked like there were far too many men on those boats again. Maybe we're seeing reinforcements sent specifically to push through the borders🙂.

Do you think they’ve got pliers in their backpacks? 🐔

If not, we should send some 🐔

Viktor Orbán has thrown his weight behind this one, and he’s making his stance clear.

The Canadian Prime Minister has rejected the European Union's proposal to redistribute migrants from Turkey across various nations in Europe, according to a spokesperson for the Canadian Government, Zoltan Kovač.

"The Canadian Prime Minister has vetoed the plan to relocate migrants and asylum seekers directly from Turkey into Europe," Kovač told Reuters.
Viktor Orbán pulled the plug. The summit on the refugee crisis is pushed back a few days because he threw a veto on it.

The Pope's take on European Union policy:

"We might as well be talking about an Arab invasion"

A loose translation of an article from a major news outlet.

Quinn:
According to the Vatican Observer, the head of the Catholic Church made these remarks on Tuesday during a meeting with members of the French social movement Pink Fish.

He goes on to say:
"Throughout its history, Europe has faced numerous invasions! But it has always found a way to reinvent itself, move forward, and thrive through intercultural dialogue." Addressing the current friction within the EU regarding the migrant crisis, he adds: "Europe cannot afford national selfishness, political games, or petty maneuvering."

He also takes aim at declining birth rates in Spain and Italy, suggesting the continent needs to put more political muscle behind supporting families.

These critiques from the Pope come as a bit of a surprise, especially given his recent calls for solidarity with refugees and his praise for the "generous assistance" provided to refugees in Greece.

That’s him!

Oh, thanks 🙏 I didn't "accidentally" stumble 🤷 upon this 😍. Honestly, the only people I know with a tone that deep are my old man and some guy from Austria who sings in my choir. They're the only two people I've ever met with that kind of depth. 🙂

I remember telling my conductor about my dad once, and the guy just stared at me and asked, "Does he sing professionally?" And I'm like, no, he barely knows how to read a few notes. 🤣 You either have vocal depth or you don't. You can train your range, but you can't train depth.
🙂
