brightpuma said:Brilliant settings? Communism never had "brilliant settings." It just had an ideology that was fundamentally impossible to implement in the real world... That’s why it eventually devolved into a criminal movement.

I disagree. If anything, it started out criminal and became increasingly liberal and permissive over time.
How can you even compare two ideologies when one claims everyone is equal (even if they fail to act like it) and the other clings to the idea of some Aryan Ubermensch? 🙂

I’m pretty sure there's a rule against starting threads about specific forum users here.😉
If you think the clone version of her got banned, you’re probably spot on. Her posts are nothing but exhausting contradictions designed solely to stir up drama and cause chaos. Plus,😉it's just plain annoying.
P.S. Watch out for those clout-chasers.😬

I can already feel my growing popularity on this subforum.

And let’s be clear: I’m not trying to stir the pot, at least not on purpose. That first post was written back when this topic was still sitting in the Women's Corner. Bokić 😍

Proposal to increase max image size limit in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Michelle Alvarez8 said:Yeah, we all know that.

Same here.

It’s not "might" render—the client's browser *actually* renders it. No photo is sitting on the forum's servers eating up resources, nor is there some massive load that would crash them.

Aside from the fact that I've never seen an animated GIF at 640x480 resolution, users really need to realize—hopefully through experience—that opening huge files takes longer to load. Also, the admins should remember that the rule against images larger than 640x480 was made years ago, back when we were using much smaller monitors. They also need to acknowledge that image size doesn't actually strain the servers, so they should really just penalize posts that mess up the forum layout—which is easy enough to do even with images smaller than 640x480.

For comparison, check out this link that some guy just dropped in the off-topic thread today.🙂

Ashley Bishop4 said:No way.😁

One thing that’s absolutely certain is that the Advertisement didn't mention anything about looking for a member of the US—meaning a Lonely Heart woman—so I don't know why he's being so explicit about it now. 😁

So, if you ask me, this isn't even about my interpretation or his take on what was actually requested. It’s more that he's suddenly acting like he's uncovered some hidden fact about the Advertisement—a "fact" that isn't even mentioned in the Advertisement itself! 😕

And honestly, the only way someone could possibly know that is if they were the one who actually wrote the advertisement themselves. 😁

If he doesn't actually know, then he's just making stuff up—so that's why I'm asking. How does he claim to know? 😉

The mods should look into this... honestly, I can't even be bothered to make this profile, let alone clone one.☕
PS: Why would it even be specified like that? You always post an Ad where the target audience hangs out anyway, right?

Daniel Ward87 said:I wouldn't go that far. Ashley Bishop4 made a solid point—you have to look at the whole purpose of the US and these ads. I think the goal was really about finding someone to hang out with. Sure, hooking up is part of the equation 😁, but wouldn't those kinds of posts be more at home over on LJES? US stands for Lonely Heart, which is mostly people looking for a soulmate or a connection. These ads are there so people can actually bond in ways that go beyond just physical stuff.

You can't compare the seriousness of LJES to the Lonely Heart section. It’s entirely possible that Nicole Ruiz felt the usual crowd on LJES—he checked the topic list, after all—wasn't his target demographic, so he and his girlfriend decided to hunt for something "more serious" over in Lonely Heart. The purpose of the PDF is one thing, but deleting ads that aren't even breaking the rules, any more than any other tolerated posts, is nothing short of discrimination 🙂 (look, the whole point of the Super Bowl is deciding which team is the best that year, but if I'm watching it just for the halftime commercials, nobody's going to kick me out as long as I'm acting like everyone else, right?) 🤷

Ashley Bishop4 said:Setting criteria isn't the same thing as discrimination.

Look, if there are specific requirements for something and someone tries to jump in without meeting them, that’s just not discrimination.

In this situation, the rule for an ad on the US Forum is that it has to be for the US, not for LJES or ŽuD or whatever else. That decision falls under the moderator's jurisdiction, not some imaginary authority.

Obviously, couples or married people can post on the US Forum and run ads, but that's impossible to police. What we *can* actually do is stick to the logic and the intended purpose of the PDF.

It’s honestly mind-blowing how you can so rudely ignore a fact that's been repeated over and over—a fact that's basically the entire foundation of the US Forum concept.

I don't think there's anything else left to say here.

It’s both unclear and frankly nonsensical that you can't grasp how an advertisement is specifically designed to find a single member of the US. 🤷
How effective are these workouts? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Sophia Garcia81 said:I only used 180 as an example, but since I have a free month coming up, I figured I'd go all out.

Honestly, I'd prefer other exercises if they work better because I absolutely loathe ab workouts. I'm not looking to get shredded or anything extreme—my main goal is just to slim down my waistline.

It’s not about losing weight. My issue is that I’m getting soft, 🙂 so I want to do something about it before gravity takes its toll. My stomach is flat and I don't have fat, unless you count this recent looseness as fat. My midsection is the priority, but I want to focus on my whole body.

I just calculated my body fat at 18.2%, assuming the math is right. I hate sweating, but if it's necessary, I'll deal with it.

Any advice is welcome, especially regarding how to see real results within a single month. Maybe my ambitions are too high?

I'll Google the stuff you guys suggested and get back to you.

Look, with an attitude like that, even using the word "ambition" is an overstatement.
She needs to realize that getting actual results requires more than just sweat; it takes blood, sweat, and tears. 😳😁
Fix your mindset first, then we can talk about progress. 🤷

This is a formal complaint regarding discrimination.
Look:
Nicole Ruiz is filing a grievance because her Advertisement was nuked for allegedly soliciting sex (and yeah, let’s be real, sex was being solicited). But here’s the kicker: there are plenty of other Advertisements on this exact same thread—check the quotes in the opening post—that are doing the exact same thing without getting slapped. This is textbook discrimination.
What part of this is confusing? Why does one person get a pass while another gets targeted? The post wasn't vulgar, it wasn't trolling, and the request wasn't handled in some crude way meant to offend anyone or ruin the "professionalism" of the PDF. It deserved to stay up... ☕
Discrimination based on sexual orientation and lifestyle choices in Feedback & Suggestions ·
@Ashley Bishop4
If I follow your logic—that only Lonely Hearts are allowed to post on the US Forum—then I guess that means only people obsessed with romance or sex are allowed to post on LJES!?
PS: In my humble opinion, the moderators here are fighting a losing battle; they’re just digging themselves into a deeper hole with every move they make.
That Advertisement was deleted unfairly. There were already more than enough arguments provided for anyone actually paying attention.
