It’s honestly heartbreaking how many people are still being pushed toward chemo today—just flooding the body with heavy toxins that wreck your entire system. I guess it's because mainstream medicine tends to look the other way when it comes to things they can't patent and make a killing on..

I mean, how many cases or clinics have tried different approaches that worked incredibly well, only to be bullied by big lobbies? They basically get told "don't use those methods" if they want to stay in the good graces of the establishment..

It’s just sad that most of us are essentially hostages to a small group of people who care more about power and profit than actually healing anyone..

If I could give one piece of advice, it's this: please, do your homework. Get informed about absolutely everything before you even think about starting radiation or chemo.
There are other ways out there..

We’re still right in the thick of it with our fight against pancreatic cancer—it's hit the whole pancreas and spread to the lungs, liver, and some lymph nodes. We've been fighting this battle for almost a year and a half now..

Since you aren't asking for a special character and it's such a minor tweak, maybe just reach out to Nick.
Angela Wright said:I have to be honest, I haven't really heard of giving Dexamethasone like that before, or why he was on such a short course. I think Dad should probably be using Fentanyl Patches instead, maybe combined with something else if needed. Since the doctor clearly isn't being very helpful, you should just head to the ER and ask for an anesthesiologist. They can figure out how to titrate his pain meds and explain how you can adjust the dose when he needs it most.

If @Kate Brooks2/">@@Kate Brooks2 is in New York City, I’d suggest seeing Dr. John Doe, he's at the Mayo Clinic..
I mean, I basically agree with you there..

Look, I'm not really one to go chasing conspiracy theories or anything.. but it’s just common sense. You have this massive pharmaceutical industry pulling in trillions of dollars every single year. There's no way they're going to be happy about something they can't patent, sell, and turn into a huge payday. Whether it's apricot seeds, papaya leaves, certain mushrooms, rosehips, or even just oxygen... it makes sense. It wouldn't surprise me at all if these giant corporations use their lobbyists and paid-off labs to discredit, push aside, or outright ban "natural" or "alternative" remedies.
Especially when those things might actually work against widespread diseases—the kind of heavy-hitting illnesses where the drugs are incredibly expensive and the profit margins are insane..

So yeah, everything has a flip side and its own set of interests; and usually, the little guy is the one who gets screwed over..

Not all research is exactly what it looks like, and not all results are as solid as they claim. Plus, let's face it, modern medicine and chemo have been stumbling in the dark for decades now. They still haven't found anything truly effective for mass tumors or cancer that doesn't absolutely wreck your entire body and immune system..

Personally, I'm always in favor of combining modern medicine with natural and "alternative" approaches..

Nowadays, everyone accepts that things like chamomile, rosehips, mint, sage, various teas, or vegetables are healthy and good for you. But back in the day, I bet people were trying to deny those benefits too, just like they're trying to dismiss things like apricot seeds, papaya, or specific mushrooms today..
I mean, even unnamed is being sold as a dietary supplement...
My mom can't do chemo anymore. Since she found out that her body just can't handle it, she’s been using supplements instead.

There are studies out there regarding papaya and apricot seeds, and other similar things—actual scientific studies. I guess the reason you don't hear more about it is because Big Pharma and the chemical industry just don't want you to know.

Plus, it seems pretty widely accepted that almost no chemotherapy is truly targeted at a specific tumor. Chemo basically just destroys everything—not just the malignant cells (and even then, who knows?), but healthy cells, the whole body, and the immune system too.

To me, destroying someone's entire body and immunity feels like a much bigger evil than trying to help them with natural things instead of all those poisons in chemo and chemical drugs. Those things always come with a ton of side effects and leave all sorts of chemical residues and toxins in your system.

When it comes to healing from tumors or cancer, there’s plenty of testimony, evidence, and studies involving alternative methods, psychological support, or even certain "modern" medical approaches.

Like I said, everything is individual. I guess nobody really knows how something will affect a specific person.

In situations like this, people grab onto any straw they can find and try everything. It makes sense to me.

Besides, it’s enough to say that a lot of doctors just wave off natural teas and stuff like that as nonsense. Instead, they prescribe all these pills packed with chemicals that 99% of people—aside from scientists and pharmacists—don't even understand, but they just blindly trust their doctors.

Regarding apricots, sure, they contain natural cyanide, but my understanding is that it stays inactive—kind of "locked"—until it hits malignant cells that have high sugar levels.
besides that, if that were true, why wouldn't they poison people? Like, people in certain parts of the world eat apricot kernels and stuff like that every single day. How is it that they often live to be over 100? How is it that they aren't hit by diseases like cancer?

It’s all about diet, I think. Our modern lifestyle, all those E-numbers, emulsifiers, flavor enhancers, colors, scents, and the sheer amount of chemistry in every product... plus stress and bad eating habits. All of that contributes to various illnesses and tumors, and I guess those numbers are just going up.

Also, it's interesting how some research links things like osteoporosis to milk and dairy products. We are pretty much the only mammals on Earth that consume milk after infancy, and we even drink milk from other species. Not many people realize that because of certain proteins, like casein, it can build up in the stomach lining and actually prevent you from absorbing the calcium from that very same milk.

I mean, why do you think there used to be commercials everywhere for "light morning milk" and things like that? Maybe because a lot of people can't tolerate milk due to the compounds in animal milk that the human body isn't naturally used to.

Seriously, have you ever seen any other adult mammal in nature nursing or drinking milk once they're past the baby stage?

Milk itself—especially since we can't properly absorb or utilize that calcium—isn't even something we humans really need.

There are parts of the world where dairy isn't consumed much at all; there's no tradition of eating it. And, lo and behold, in those places, the rate of osteoporosis and other related health issues is way lower.

She's scheduled for a PET/CT at Quest Diagnostics tomorrow, and then she’s seeing a specialist at a clinic over in downtown Chicago...
On top of everything, a uterine tumor popped up out of nowhere about five months ago. They think there might be a connection, but we won't know the actual diagnosis until tomorrow...

If someone can live without a stomach, maybe losing 10 pounds isn't so bad... It gives me a little comfort, I guess, since I don't really know what the survival odds look like after treatment...

I actually changed her diet starting yesterday... nothing sweet, salty, or spicy... People told me to just let her enjoy her food while she still can, but I feel like that's just wrong thinking. It could make things worse for her... Like, sugar is deadly, so why would I let her indulge in sweets and just make things harder? It feels like adding fuel to the fire...
I need to go online and find some recipes for situations like this.

I also bought some Jane Doe powder for her to take... apparently it helps... so we'll see how it goes...

I just hope we caught this in time and can react quickly.

Thanks again.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Just hang in there—stay persistent, stay focused, and try not to panic..

I'd suggest buying some B17, or apricot kernels, for your mom. They are supposedly really good for fighting cancer.

You can just Google "apricot kernels" or "B17" to find plenty of links and articles on it..

Also, papaya fruit—and even parts of the tree like the leaves—are incredibly medicinal..

If you search for papaya and papaya leaves on Google, you'll find tons of info.

We managed to get some papaya leaf tea, and my mom started drinking it recently. We got the papaya leaf extract tea from Nature's Bounty. It's pricey, $67 for a 50g bag; but it lasts about a month with normal use, or maybe two weeks if you're using it more intensely, which people tend to do during an illness..

Unfortunately, we started too late with the papaya for my mother (she had pancreatic adenocarcinoma)—just recently with the first bag, because we hadn't heard about it until now..

She's been using B17 (the apricot kernels) for longer. After her first round of chemo, combined with a proper diet and taking B17, the tumor stayed quiet, and one metastasis on her liver actually even receded.
But after the second round of chemo, things took a turn for the worse. She didn't stick to a strict diet and refused to eat what she was supposed to, so her condition declined rapidly. Now the tumor has taken over the whole pancreas, and there are metastases in the lungs and some glands.

What I really want to say is: you have to be extremely strict about the diet.

Of course, everyone is different; but I think the biggest mistake you can make is following that logic of "Oh, just let her eat whatever she wants so she can enjoy life a little more..." No. That's a huge mistake.
It's already well known about the three "white killers" (white sugar, white flour, etc.)...

You have to stick to a proper diet and not put unnecessary, harmful sugar—which feeds the tumor—or bad fats into her body..

She needs as much raw vegetable juice, vitamins, and healthy food as possible.

Only when you combine all of that—treatment, proper nutrition, willpower, fighting hard, and a bit of alternative stuff (like papaya and apricot kernels)—can you really look toward success with optimism. Whether that means full recovery or just extending life and improving its quality..

Alexander Castillo5 said:I’m posting because I just don't know how to handle what my family and I are going through right now. My mom (61) is in the terminal stage; she’s been fighting pancreatic cancer for two and a half years. She stopped chemo this summer. Since May, she hasn't been able to walk, and things have gotten really bad over the last month. She’s lost so much weight—she’s maybe 40kg max—she won't eat anything, she's pale, and she can barely keep her eyes open. She gets IV fluids occasionally. Everything hurts her. She’s been bedridden for weeks now (until last month we were using a wheelchair just to get her to the bathroom), so we use diapers. But even just lifting or moving her makes her cry out in pain. It’s unbearable. My dad and I are the ones caring for her. It's so hard to watch her suffer like this, the sheer agony. Lately, she struggles to breathe, talks incoherently, and begs us to give her something to end it. She actually asked us to pray that she passes soon because she just can't do this anymore. I’m worried about my dad, too; he went through his own illness before, and I see how much this is destroying him. I’m scared this might break him completely. Sometimes, I honestly wish her suffering would just end quickly, because that would mean an end to the misery for my dad and for me, too. This morning, I spent an hour listening to her beg us to end her pain. She literally eats nothing; her ankles are swollen, and the rest of her is just skin and bones. She's unrecognizable. Does anyone know how much longer a state like this might last?

I am so sorry you're going through all of this.

Our situation, or rather the illness, is exactly the same.

My mother (53) is also battling pancreatic adenocarcinoma. She's been fighting it for a year and two months.
From the initial involvement of the tail of the pancreas, the latest scans showed it spread through the whole pancreas, part of the liver, the lungs, and some lymph nodes..

After the first round of chemo, everything seemed okay; the cancer was dormant, didn't spread, and one metastasis from the liver actually regressed. But after the second round, it's like I mentioned—it spread to the entire pancreas, parts of the liver, lungs, and nodes. 😢

The pain is constant and impossible to manage. She lost a lot of weight earlier on; she isn't quite "skin and bones" yet, but she's close.
She had a catheter put in because she lost sensation in certain nerves—the tumor invaded those areas along with the pancreas and hit a part of the spinal cord. Her bladder would fill up and she wouldn't know, but she'd feel terrible pain because the full bladder would press against the painful spots.
With the catheter, things are at least a tiny bit easier on that front; but the actual pain is still constant.

She takes high doses of Zoloft combined with strong Durogesic patches.
Her appetite fluctuates... sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more... but she tries to eat something.

She wasn't on chemo for more than two months; she just can't handle it anymore because of her physical state.

For alternative stuff, she takes hemp oil and apricot kernels (Vitamin B17). Recently, we read about papaya being very healthy and medicinal, so we bought some papaya leaf tea that she's started drinking. Some studies suggest it helps with certain types of cancer.

Just like yours, my mom moans from the pain, too. She begs for the suffering to end and prays to God to take her.. 😢

Regarding doctors and clinics, we were at the Mayo Clinic, seeing Dr. Jane Doe in the pain management clinic. He helped Mom so much and really went above and beyond for her. He's great, and I have nothing but praise for him.

I don't really know what to say, honestly... besides... just hang in there. Good luck.
I could really use some help here.

Does anyone know where or how I can find papaya juice, papaya leaf extract, or—most importantly—papaya leaf tea here in the US (specifically around Washington, D.C.)?

I remember seeing someone mention papaya tea a while back, but I haven't been able to track down a place that actually sells it. I’ve done a bit of searching online, but I haven't found anything helpful on any American sites.

Does anyone have any leads?

I need this for my mom; she's fighting pancreatic cancer.

Thanks.

Thanks, anyway. Bye. 👋

So, I'm just dropping in here... I stumbled onto this thread by accident and saw this.
Personally, I think it *is* true. I won't say it isn't. 😬

Just look at how the mods handle things. For example, the first person that comes to mind is Stinger. He's constantly insulting people, calling them idiots or fools, regardless of whether they're actually off-topic or not. He thinks he can just act however he wants. But how many people have actually reported him or called him out on his ego? He hasn't been penalized or even given a warning.

And honestly, there are plenty of other users just like him.

It’s like when you're watching the Super Bowl—everything else just disappears. Honestly, compared to other sports, tennis always seems to hog the spotlight here, especially when those Grand Slams roll around.

Of course they won't lock the threads..
The mods will just move posts that belong to the current Grand Slam over to the right thread if they end up in the wrong place—whether it's by accident or on purpose. Problem solved..

We definitely need this subforum!
