You guys have no clue.
If I were stuck alone in a tiny studio apartment without any internet access, this whole forum would have drifted off into deep space a long time ago.
The chances of someone surviving those conditions for 20 years—or even resisting the urge to go back—are probably less than 1%.

Drinking or smoking isn't the same thing as immune system health.
I kill mosquitoes because I'm allergic to the bites.
Ticks don't feel pain—not that they'd get a chance in my case—and they have no feelings or consciousness, just reflex reactions.
We coexist with dogs and cats. They aren't a threat to us, nor are they a food source. Acting that way really just points to a disturbed individual who can't be trusted within society.

I know theaters in NYC are packed, but it's the same story here.
Especially on Wednesdays and weekends.
It obviously depends on what's playing, but this winter has been busy, particularly for the big blockbusters.
Looking back a few years, we have six theaters running daily now, whereas we used to have just one that was half-empty with unpredictable hours. I assume that shift toward more consistency is happening everywhere to drive up attendance.
Especially on Wednesdays and weekends.

Aside from the scale, the cinematic experience hits harder because of the sound quality. You'd need to drop several thousand dollars just to get decent audio at home, and the prices for speakers and amps aren't exactly going down.
Plus, you need a room with actual acoustic treatment to pull that off.
Going to the movies is a social thing too. People want to share the emotion of a film together.
On the flip side, people are impatient. Studios have done a good enough job ensuring high-quality versions don't leak before they finish their theater runs.
I don't buy the hype about the death of the movie theater.

This is just one instance.
Every week, especially on Fridays, heavy under bets in their leagues (especially the second division) kill me. Today, I hit a "Clermont vs. Dijon 2:5" nightmare. 🙏
Last Friday, Clermont wiped me out by scoring a damn goal when I needed them not to.
Looking back at just the last eight matches, six of them ended with fewer than three goals—and the last two ended with five.
And of course, I always end up picking one of those two outliers that break the pattern. 🙏
What are the odds!!
Or try betting on specific outcomes. I gave up on that ages ago. The league is insanely unpredictable, whether it's the first or second division, or maybe I'm just unlucky.
Out of all those teams, Lyon was the only one that ever paid off for me, right up until those 1:1 draws against PSG. 😵
