Since the thread has been locked without giving me any chance to respond to the moderator, I feel compelled to point out that the Google Trends data was manipulated specifically to misrepresent Islam in that controversial comment, which the moderator went out of her way to support
. I previously detailed why using Google Trends for this particular metric is both irrelevant and fundamentally inaccurate in this post... but apparently, it was all for nothing, as the objective seems to be disparaging Islam by any means necessary...
My objection regarding the ban continues to be ignored

My appeal concerning the conduct of another moderator in the religion subforum is being disregarded, despite that individual having personally admitted to Islamophobia on this platform. Specifically, the religion subforum threads are being locked indefinitely
.
Why is this happening?

It seems that when one simply asks about Islamophobia or discrimination against Islam, they are met with nothing but bans...

Nicole James said:Since this isn't actually a formal complaint—it’s more like a blatant excuse to be disrespectful toward the moderators—I’d suggest just shutting this down...

It is clearly an appeal, covering all the bases, and you even admitted what it was yourself, so where is the insult? Are you just looking for a reason to shut the conversation down?🙄

Is the race element actually a major factor here, or what?🤔

Well, I suppose that specific detail adds weight—or rather, dimension...🤷

And if nothing else, it at least breaks down racial barriers, though I suspect that idealized vision of equality might have overshadowed the actual inequality regarding women's status within those listed details...😁

Brenda Cook4 said:You really need to stop relying on these cheap, flashy little tactics. Calling your own illness a "phobia" just so you can claim you're participating in a debate in good faith is exhausting. It feels like you’re terrified the thread will just "vanish" if you stop making noise and hurling accusations—as if the world somehow couldn't handle seeing your data, almost like some desperate "stop the Reuters" stunt.
The post wasn't off-topic, this post was actually a direct response to your post, specifically pointing out the hypocrisy involved.

And honestly, your objection to the terms of service (which was part of that whole "make the post disappear" routine) was loaded with unnecessary descriptions. They were way too explicit—the kind of thing Google wouldn't even allow near their ad placements because this site is treated like a mainstream platform. We'll probably see those parts scrubbed from here soon, too. Plus, an answer to whether Unknown's post was off-topic had already been written right before you jumped in.

It is no less explicit than (using a fabricated search for Pakistan-related terms) sexual acts involving pigs, cats, goats, horses, cows, monkeys, not to mention the mysterious acts with snakes, elephants, bears, or foxes😍 which were explicitly listed in that controversial off-topic comment that you supported in your subsequent reply with a ROFL smiley—with enthusiasm, perhaps even ecstasy?🙄

I submitted the following comment to the site administrators as a formal complaint regarding offensive off-topic remarks and trolling within the discussion on feminism in Islam. These comments were accompanied by an Islamophobic tone of mockery, which was further compounded when the moderator, Brenda Cook4, intervened; however, Brenda Cook4 subsequently deleted my response, deeming it excessively vulgar. I must clarify that I felt compelled to intensify my language—though perhaps not in such exhaustive detail—simply to match the context of the surrounding commentary and the overall hostile tone of the debate...

Here is the sequence of deleted comments:

Brenda Cook4 states:
1) This is because it serves as a response to a user who pivoted from a discussion on polygamy to criticizing the "satanic" West, which apparently permits certain "pornographic circles," making it relevant to the topic, unlike the war in Iraq.

2) Please refrain from commenting on moderation matters here; if you have a grievance, direct it to the formal complaint department.

I am also lodging a protest against this off-topic remark.

It does not address my thesis at all; rather, it is merely an unargued, disrespectful jab at Muslims and bears absolutely no relation to the subject matter. My point was that a society where men—most of whom indifferently watch or indulge in scenes involving groups of Black men and others performing graphic acts upon a single woman for money—has no moral standing to lecture anyone, let alone Muslims, on the treatment of women. To address my specific argument, that post is nothing more than an off-topic diversion with a hint of trolling...

Take this specific response from feraltrucker5, which I also consider an affront,
because an insult isn't limited strictly to being called a moron...☕

It is certainly an insult, much like the various other forms of disrespect one might encounter—such as when moderators become overly aggressive toward regular users, or when they selectively enforce the rules, granting leeway to some while threatening sanctions against those who dare point out such blatant inconsistencies regarding privileged users...🙄

mellowraven22 said:Vocabulary? 😁

Honestly, this isn't a PBS broadcast where one has to worry about accidentally mentioning the FBI or some American equivalent, nor should we allow our vocabulary to be reduced to something resembling scripts written by the authors at John Doe 35.

(feraltrucker5, you look spooked now. John Doe, John Doe)

The idea that a lack of decorum in speech is justified simply because this isn't a PBS broadcast is a very convincing argument indeed...👎

feralpilot0 said:If we look at the main Religion forum, they actually maintain a 'complaints log' for minor inquiries that don't quite meet the threshold for the official board... It works perfectly fine 🤷

It strikes me as odd that most of the more active sub-forums lack a complaints log as a pinned or top-level thread... ☕
implementing one here might lend this specific forum a much-needed sense of professionalism...

I would also kindly request that this thread remain open, provided that my attempts to outline potential instances of hate speech or religious discrimination directed toward Muslims do not cause undue discomfort...

Charles Fox10 said:You again? I would advise you to stop policing other users' warnings, lest you find yourself facing one personally...

I will reiterate that we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for all violations, including the specific issues you have raised; however, since it is impossible for us to monitor the boards every second of the day, certain things inevitably slip through the cracks, which is precisely why the reporting system exists...

This thread should be locked...

I am not commenting on the warning itself, rather...on the actionable insult contained within the post, and if that truly bothers you so much, then go ahead and issue me a ban just to make your day a little better...👎

Charles Fox10 said:It is clear that certain behavior is simply not tolerated here; one must realize that a single word might not be an issue on its own, but rather the broader context in which it is used...

As for that suspension, I shall refrain from commenting, as those disciplinary actions have nothing to do with you.

It is fine, there is no need for you to comment, I merely wished to point out another recent incident where an insult directed at an immigrant was not even sanctioned properly, receiving only a ten-point deduction for being off-topic...

Charles Fox10 said:They don't tolerate either group, but it can be difficult to spot every single instance, so please continue to report them.

Understood. It honestly feels like I have been reporting issues, yet nothing seems to change; as they say here, the moderator in question doesn't seem particularly motivated to act, though I will take another look at my recent posts... thank you for the response...

edit:

Actually, I just came across a penalty issued today for using certain slang and general trolling, totaling a full 14 points of violation:

Active Infraction (Points: 14)
trolling and insults

Furthermore, I should add one more point for now:

The term used against Muslims is inherently derogatory, yet I observe the moderators here treating it as perfectly acceptable when users employ it to insult them. Is this another instance where you believe such behavior doesn't warrant a ban?🤷

It is offensive to refer to Black Americans using slurs, just as it would be improper to shout insults at Catholics, or to mock those who live behind walls, or even atheists... and so on...🙄

Jason Clark7 said:I suppose I should begin... Some people claim... If parents force their religious beliefs onto their children, isn't that essentially pure fascism... and shouldn't that be classified as hate speech? It creates this strange double standard where religion is treated like fascism, yet things like sports or music lessons aren't viewed through that lens... so when a parent insists a child take up soccer or piano, it's considered perfectly acceptable... 👎

I filed a report on this post, and then I went ahead and complained about... FBI On the Religion forum, though... the moderator just got back to me and said that it's... A forum member's personal opinion....

So, every religious person who passes their faith down to their children is being branded a fascist... and this statement remains unpunished, dismissed simply as "personal opinion," all while the moderators of Religion sit back and judge the situation... 😲

By way of discussion, if someone were to suggest that fascism is present when parents force their atheism upon their children, one must wonder whether such a claim would remain merely a personal opinion... 🙄

If there is anything else worth noting, please feel free to post the link here... it certainly does not have to be regarding Muslims...

Well, this situation isn't just limited to one specific group... it applies to everyone else as well...
While it may be true that the actual execution of harmful acts is more prevalent among rural populations, the far grimmer reality is that the intellectual core of this negativity—which we often unfairly blame on those living in the countryside—almost always resides within urban centers, among the so-called "elite." These individuals trigger the chain reaction of malice, yet they rarely provide the opportunity for those in rural areas to vent their frustrations...
Essentially, the urbanite sacrifices the rural worker to handle the dirty work ordered by the city, only to turn around and claim that such negativity is simply part of the rural person's nature, while the true corruption remains hidden on the other side. 👎
Ultimately, those who live alongside living creatures—domestic animals, farming, witnessing the cycle of new life through plants, livestock, or poultry—possess a much greater capacity for empathy toward all living things than those who are raised amidst the cold indifference of concrete and steel, people who wouldn't even recognize a cow if they saw one. ☕

Susan Price30 As expressed by:
Who exactly is being targeted here, and who is being generalized...?

I have been reflecting on the recent developments regarding the shifting landscape of American politics and how they impact our broader view of the world... It seems that certain established rules are being challenged in ways we haven't seen in quite some time. While others might react with immediate fervor, I find myself compelled to observe these changes with a sense of cautious deliberation... One must wonder where this trajectory leads us in the long run.

And on several other threads regarding this same topic... Jason Clark7 He emphasizes it—with that typical aggressive, furious edge... One should harbor resentment... To certain individuals... how can such hatred ever be justified—this specific animosity directed toward Muslims by others...

And now, just like that, they go and open a thread about... The issue of hate speech... Regarding the FAA regulations...🤣

I intend to, which is why I mentioned the Egyptians... even within that group, there is a 10% Coptic minority, and I am certain they would just as much prefer a functional, normal government over a dictatorship ruled by extremists😉

no, racism and hate speech simply have no place here, regardless of who the target is...

thank you once again 🙂
