So, I was wondering—why is everyone swerving all over the track? Is there some new surface being laid down, or is it just raining somewhere we can't see? 🤷

It’s just old asphalt that’s lost its grip

That is just classic American engineering right there.😁

#F1 Rumours in Montreal paddock Ferrari might Sack Raikkonen after this season. According to my info he's got a contract till end of 2015

Honestly, God knows—I just can't bring myself to watch Kimi driving that red bucket. If anyone's going to spend their career grinding away in that car, let it be Alonso.

Come on, come on—they finally got things sorted out during the second session, so he actually managed to find some serious pace! 🙂

I’m honestly not quite sure what to make of this one—it feels like we might be missing a bit of context here! If there was a specific thought or a particular topic you were looking to dive into, please do let me know. I’m always happy to chat, though I’ll admit my mind occasionally wanders a bit when things are left a little too open-ended. Looking forward to hearing what's actually on your mind! kaže:
I have a nagging feeling that we’re going to see Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton clashing at Turn 1 during this race—and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it happens in the next three races, either.

I’ve got a feeling about this one—mark my words, Fernando Alonso is going to sweep all four of those races.

I have a feeling that Kimi Raikkonen is going to end up finishing outside the points this time around.

And then, just like that, the little hedgehog went and wrapped itself up in chocolate...

At the end of the day, they really need a solid foundation to build both the chassis and the engine for 2015.

Ferrari at the Canadian Grand Prix;

a fresh rear wing (low downforce),
an updated engine map,
a redesigned floor and diffuser,
plus some brand new brake ducts.

We'll just have to wait and see if all these changes actually move the needle—fingers crossed they do!

The maestro will likely just cruise through the rest of the season—we'll see how things unfold, but I suspect he won't really achieve anything significant... He'll eventually move on from Ferrari, and then Ferrari will go ahead and build a killer car for 2015 🤣

Honestly, looking at Fernando Alonso's last two races, I think he just got a massive helping of luck and some favorable political maneuvering—that’s really the only reason he managed to edge out Kimi Räikkönen... and if his fans on here are choosing to ignore the fact that he didn't actually pull anything special off in Monaco, well, that's their prerogative, I suppose.

It seems highly probable that he's moving on from Scuderia Ferrari; I just don't see any real drive left in him, though—if you ask me—who could really blame him?

steelmaker83 said:I’m not entirely convinced myself—it really comes down to how things would have played out if there had been a safety car. Just as Alonso started losing his edge, Ricciardo was already breathing down his neck. My gut feeling? They were both likely just nursing their tires, trying to hang on for another lap or two. I think Ricciardo would have definitely made the move; Alonso might have put up a fight, but it wouldn't have been impossible for him to lose it.

Kimi Kimi Raikkonen had an incredible start, and that first restart was pure magic when he managed to pull ahead of Ricciardo—though, if his pace had been absolutely blistering...

Besides, overtaking someone at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is usually a total piece of cake.🤣

Chilton ran right into him and punctured his tire. Honestly, though—it’s almost fair game since he managed to outsmart two cheaters earlier; a bit of bad luck for the guy, I suppose.

cosmiccyclist8 said:Meanwhile, over on the Kimi Raikkonen vs. Fernando Alonso thread, everyone is busy whining about how much they think Kimi got slapped 😁

What absolute losers, 😁

Honestly, don't even bother stepping foot in there—trying to be objective in that thread is basically a suicide mission.

darkmarlin16 said:If I’m being totally objective—and I try to be!—I’d say Kimi Raikkonen was actually outperforming Fernando during that first stretch of the race before the second SC came out.

It's anyone's guess how things would have played out after that, but hey, we owe him a little thanks for that silly mistake—it certainly helped Jules Bianchi grab some points! 👍

Fair and accurate enough. 🙂

Jules Bianchi is an incredible driver—getting those first points for Marussia was huge.
And honestly? Daniel Ricciardo is now undeniably better than Sebastian Vettel. If it weren't for all those mechanical failures and disqualifications, he would have walked away with at least 30 more points. In my book, he’s easily the Driver of the Season.
As for Kimi Raikkonen... man, he's so overrated. Comparing him to Fernando Alonso—it's 61 to 17. Just pure shuffling at this point. It's almost on par with how much the Red Bull duo struggles sometimes. ☕

You're conveniently forgetting how Kimi sent Alonso spinning right at the start, aren't you? And as for Max Chilton picking him up and completely ruining his race—well, shit happens.

I’ve actually got to say, I am quite enjoying seeing things heat up over at Mercedes—it makes things much more interesting! 😍

Felipe Massa had an absolutely stellar race today.

As for Jules Bianchi... 😍😍

Kimi, man, what a masterclass in a start! He completely outmaneuvered Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, and Daniel Ricciardo, but then—well, life happens, and everything just sort of fell apart.

It was almost frustrating to watch Fernando Alonso stay practically invisible for the entire duration of the race.

Honestly, I think Daniel Ricciardo is going to be my driver of choice for the next ten years. 😁

Look, he won that last race with some seriously clean driving—completely legitimate—so let's not talk nonsense. Can we please leave the fanboy bickering for a different thread?
