Honestly, once you've seen Rocky and Rambo, there's really nothing left to say because they pretty much define everything for me.
And don't even get me started on the absolute bangers like Demolition Man, Judge Dredd, or Cobra—not to mention that original death race flick where everyone just tears each other apart before Statham started doing those endless remakes, Death Race or whatever it was called.

I already know some smart-ass is going to jump in here claiming these are just "trash movies," but I’ll tell you right now: fine, let them be trash, because that's exactly what makes them great!

Sylvester Stallone is the absolute GOAT, and honestly, I have no clue why people feel the need to hate on him or try to downplay his legacy.

But seriously, watch where he's stepping because he’s totally out of control 🙏 🙏 🙏

The guy clearly ran out of cash for his dental implants or whatever else 🤔

Seriously, didn't you guys just write a whole thread claiming everyone is entitled to their own opinion on movies? Fast forward a few pages and now you're attacking someone just because they didn't think a movie was their all-time favorite or because they preferred something else over whatever masterpiece you've collectively decided is the gold standard.
Take me, for instance—I actually get what ZZu is trying to say here, even if we don't see eye to eye on everything. Odyssey is an incredible film because of that massive "wow" factor you feel once the credits roll (at least for me), even if it doesn't blow my mind while I'm actually sitting in the theater. I mean, visually, it's absolutely brutal, especially for its time. The scenes are stunning and all that, but honestly, it’s just way too slow and gets pretty boring in certain spots.

But look, if you're forcing me to choose between those two films to eat for the rest of my life, I'd go with Interstellar any day.

Keith Miller30 said:I knew it was you. ☕ For me, it's definitely better than average, though I wouldn't go so far as to call it the greatest of all time.

Bas, I just watched Limitless yesterday, and it was excellent. 👍

It’s really no big deal, honestly, there's absolutely no reason to feel embarrassed about it.☕

I mean, people love to act like Guardians of the Galaxy or Pacific Rim or whatever those Avengers movies are actually worth something, but honestly? We’re living in an era where some random Transformers 5—or whatever number they've reached by now—just absolutely nukes the box office and rakes in a ridiculous amount of money, like easily over a billion dollars. And don't even get me started on Fast & Furious 7, which basically caused total insanity in theaters, though personally, I don't have anything against the Fast & Furious franchise itself.

Look, Interstellar has its massive strengths, but let's be real—the fact that it's a Christopher Nolan film is both a blessing and a total curse. For some reason, people just can't stand his work, and you see them trashing Inception like it’s some kind of garbage, even though personally, I think it's one of my absolute favorites.

Like brightpilot6 said, it’s honestly just plain stupid to try and compare Interstellar to those other movies you guys keep bringing up, because they aren't even in the same damn ballpark.

Okay, maybe I went a little too far when I claimed it was better than 2001: A Space Odyssey—because let’s be honest, Stanley Kubrick is still the king of the hill—but even so, Interstellar is still ranked incredibly high for a reason.
To be totally honest, I probably had a much better time watching Interstellar than I did with 2001: A Space Odyssey, which honestly felt pretty dull and boring at certain points, but overall Interstellar is just the superior movie because it leaves you feeling so much more "wow" once the credits roll, and even though Interstellar definitely got my brain working too, it didn't leave me stuck in a deep existential trance quite as long as that little Odyssey flick did.

Look, I’ll be the first to admit I can be a total idiot sometimes, but I honestly thought the first Planet of the Apes was an absolute masterpiece, even if the sequel was just a complete waste of my time.

Keith Miller30 said:I seem to recall someone over on ESPN being absolutely floored by Interstellar, claiming it was essentially the greatest cinematic achievement of all time (or something along those lines). 😁

Yeah, well, I still think it’s top-tier. People kept nitpicking it over these tiny little details, like "if gravity works this way then he shouldn't have jumped 22 inches, he should've jumped 20," and all that nonsense.

It’s definitely not without its plot holes, but honestly, I was so sucked in that I didn't even blink during those three hours. (The biggest letdown for me was the whole fifth dimension thing and how it wrapped up, but whatever 🤷)

Keith Miller30 said:I just finished watching Mad Max (2015), and honestly, I’d rank it as the TOP1 worst movie ever made, especially when you consider that I've sat through absolute disasters like The Legend of Hercules and things of that caliber before.

Are you actually kidding me right now????????

That is how such an unusual breed was formed.

Even orcs, after all, were once elves.

Oh, they definitely have plenty of reasons, and if they didn't, they wouldn't be whining so much! That's just how it goes—they cry about nothing just for the sake of complaining, unless there's actual money on the line and a chance to screw over the whole country.

I mean, I just had to say something because my friends are constantly bragging about how they eat god knows what, yet this one guy eats a single carrot and suddenly acts like he’s some hardcore vegan 😁

But whatever, it doesn't even matter, I'm honestly too tired to deal with it.

Oh sure, absolute peak genius right there. It’s just perfect because it isn't quite too cheesy—you know, like those low-budget Sharknado flicks—but it's actually smart enough to genuinely lift your spirits whenever you need it.

James Anderson5 said:Are you on something? I didn't even mention steroids. It looks like the hormones from all that meat are already hitting you—you're making typos and struggling to even read the screen...

Actually, now I'm curious about something else, purely for scientific reasons—how many of you in VB16 follow a diet mostly consisting of imported meat? Maybe we can find the common thread connecting you all...

Quote

And some people here are out here rooting for guys jacked up on hormones, but let's not get off track.

What even is this?

You’d have to ask the VB16 crew about that, but I’m pretty damn sure my diet is way more balanced than yours, yeah? And I guarantee I eat way more veggies.
It’s honestly hilarious that you actually feel the need to defend yourself by saying you eat vegetables.🤦

James Anderson5 said:The whole debate about meat isn't just an ethical thing; it's a massive health issue too. I've heard from people working at the border several times that imported meat often arrives looking green or blue, and they have to inject it just to make it look normal by the time it hits the grocery store shelves. If you don't believe me, feel free to look into it... And don't even get me started on how those poor chickens are pumped full of hormones and antibiotics, which we then end up consuming ourselves.

Some people here actually seem to root for meat that's loaded with hormones, but I won't stray too far from the main point

It also makes you wonder if raising this much livestock is even justifiable, considering it's one of the primary drivers behind the depletion of the ozone layer.

Plant-based alternatives are honestly much healthier, unless you're getting meat from a trusted, local farm. For instance, hemp protein has all the necessary amino acids, and I think spirulina is great too.

And let's be real, nobody can honestly claim that animals don't have feelings and suffer—whether it's cows, dogs, cats, or pigs... though I guess we're still figuring out the insect side of things

Give me a break with that vegan nonsense. Look, I agree with parts of what you wrote, but you completely lost me (and frankly pissed me off) with that stupid hemp talk. Animal protein and plant protein will never be the same thing. I’d rather live until 60 eating meat than live to 100 on plants. I don't need that crap; screw a meal without meat.

And another thing, you're talking about steroids like you actually know what they are, but you clearly haven't a clue. So stop trying to start a conversation about something you know nothing about.

Ashley Martinez6 said:The real point here is that if you ate chicken for dinner and then stepped on a cockroach thinking nothing of it, the public wouldn't give you a second glance. But if you were to kill a dog, that’s when the backlash hits... and that’s really where the line is drawn.

I’m not talking about basic human impulses or a twisted psyche here, of course. Naturally, I am completely against killing animals for sport, or out of boredom, or whatever other senseless reason one might have...

It really comes down to tradition and how we're raised.
There are different categories of animals, right? You've got pets, then you've got wild animals, and then there's livestock, and so on. You have a totally different emotional connection to each group.

Like Rols said, "meat only exists to taste good."

What seems totally normal to us here in the States might be seen as insane somewhere else, and vice versa. But look, if Americans view pets as part of the family, fine—when your parrot dies, you don't toss it in a frying pan, you bury it or whatever. So, go ahead and slaughter the chicken; it was raised for that exact purpose. Someone who keeps a chicken or a pig as a pet isn't going to even think about killing it.

To make a long story short, if you have a pet, you simply don't have the right to take its life just because you feel like it. At least, you don't have the moral right.
