James Taylor3 said:I don't buy it for a second—I just read somewhere that there’s zero talk about this in the team headquarters, like nobody even knows what's going on and everyone is just prepping like usual.

But honestly, looking at these headlines—everyone's acting like this one match is the absolute end-all, be-all, some kind of epic, life-altering showdown, blah, blah, blah. Like, give me a break. It’s only the second game out of ten in the group, and let's be real, there aren't any massive underdogs here, so the favorites are definitely gonna drop points in places like North Mexico, Wales, or Scotland.
Plus, we’re sitting on 3 points from the first game, so there’s really no reason to freak out, even if we slip up here.

The media 🤦

Our local press is convinced we're total losers who'll just scrape by picking up 3 points against the rest, and since Belgium is our main rival for first place, they're making these games sound like do-or-die... man, Tsigi, you clearly have no clue how our American media works.🤣 😬

Props to you 👍

I didn't even get a chance to place my bet—missed it by just a few minutes because some guy in front of me at the convenience store was taking forever, just fumbling around with his stuff... and then I suddenly remember this game! But yeah, well, too little too late, I guess🙂

Bryan Adams6 said:Last season they got absolutely shredded by PSV Eindhoven (though it was at home) with a 6-1 scoreline... I’m definitely throwing a single bet on that 6+ goal total—hey, win big or go home, right? 🙂

Exactly, the only way there's any real value is if it looks like that. 👍

Bryan Adams6 said:Hmm... looking at the Eredivisie, getting 6+ goals for Groningen vs PSV Eindhoven at +8.00 odds...
Am I totally losing my mind here, or does that look absolutely insane? 🤣

Man, you really found a way to hunt that one down, didn't you? 🤣

Nah, definitely not—maybe something like a 2-4 for PSV Eindhoven instead. 😬
Soccer Betting in Betting Forum ·
Bryan Adams6 said:They took a 4-1 hit against Twente, and honestly, I’d say PSV Eindhoven is still a step above them... assuming that trip to Mexico didn't totally drain them... if they're feeling okay, we might even see a win with the handicap... that would be some pretty sweet odds. 🙂

Even though things look shaky—three games without a win (and maybe a fourth coming up)—that feels like a bit much... I think Getafe CF is going to get absolutely rolled, so maybe something like a 1-0 is on the cards. ☕

The odds look solid—both sides, or even the draw at Real Madrid @3.80, plus PSV Eindhoven handicap @2.60. 🙂

Bryan Adams6 said:You've got a point, that's a bit risky... honestly, I'd be happy just taking the x2 at 1.50...

Ajax at 1.50 is one thing, but the straight win is sitting at 1.60... I probably need to dig a little deeper into how Chicago is playing lately, maybe sticking with an Ajax win is the smarter play here.😕

I don't know, man, I just can't bring myself to bet against Liverpool—even if the math says there's value in the x2... I'm rooting for them back in England, so yeah, I'm biased.😁

I've been looking at their head-to-head history a bit, and over the last few seasons, Ajax always seemed to struggle against them... but then again, Ajax has a killer offense for this league, they're definitely scoring, and I think Chicago has enough quality to find the net too... I dunno, I'll try to hunt down some more intel on this matchup.

And what about Real Madrid? At 1.30, surely they won't mess up twice in a row, right?🤷
Soccer Betting in Betting Forum ·
Bryan Adams6 said:That’s also right up there in my circle of favorites—though I'm leaning towards the x2 outcome... honestly, I have no clue how Liverpool FC is actually going to pull this off (sadly for me)... maybe if Luis Suarez plays the game of his life? 😕
And honestly, we could easily see a total goal fest here—over 2.5 goals is sitting at 2.25, which feels like a pretty solid play if you're looking for some action.

I don't know, man—like, what if Luis Suarez actually steps up and manages to kill it against Liverpool FC? Or, you know, what if he just... doesn't? It's a toss-up, really. 😕

Man, forget that other offer—I finally tracked down a decent one, and I'm looking at PSV over 2.5 goals. 🙂 🤣

Bryan Adams6 said:There's some seriously solid action on the board again today 🙂
I really need to check if Ibro is actually suiting up—if he’s in the lineup, then PSG is my absolute lock, and I’ll probably toss a little extra on top of that too

Personally, I'm feeling pretty confident that City finds the back of the net (@1.30)—seems like there's decent value there, especially when you think about how shaky the Liverpool defense has been looking lately 🤷 even though I'm pulling for Liverpool and would love to see them pull off an upset, but... yeah... 😬

edit: also thinking Fylkir-Hafnarfjordur over 2.5 goals (just look at their head-to-head history, man, if this doesn't hit, I'm gonna be losing it 🤷)

http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/season=...ics/index.html

I mean, seriously—can't even read a stat sheet properly? 🤷 It's about shots on target and stuff like that... 😬
Soccer Betting in Betting Forum ·
So, Livescore is claiming Italy had 8 shots on target—like, 8!—which would mean someone's definitely losing their mind here 😕 I mean, whatever, I guess they just pull whatever stats are posted on the official tournament site...

swiftlynx34 said:Hey guys, does anyone happen to know how many shots on goal there were during that Italy vs. Spain game yesterday?

So, has anyone actually bothered to look at the official stats over on the UEFA site lately? I mean, seriously... it’s a total joke. From the actual match results to pretty much every other little detail, the numbers they're putting out there don't line up with what actually happened on the pitch at all. It's honestly kind of wild how off they are—it’s like they’re playing a completely different game than we are.

So, I’m looking at these stats—and honestly, I think the numbers might be broken—but apparently there were 33 corner kicks, 13 yellow cards, and 45 shots on goal. Like, seriously... are these guys actually out of their minds? Or maybe we're just watching a glitch in the matrix at this point. I don't know, it just seems totally insane.

So, I ended up with less than 14 shots on target—which basically means my parlay died because of some official UEFA stat—and if my math isn't totally off, there were actually only 12 shots on target total. Man, that’s just brutal... I was looking at a massive payout, too. Just absolutely gutted.

It feels like I’m the only one who actually bothered to touch that special offer... honestly, every single ticket I played was a total bust. Just straight losers all around.

Man, you really missed the mark on this one—I mean, seriously, only the Italians managed to rack up 20 shots on target. 🤷

I was just scrolling through the official UEFA site—you know, looking at those Euro stats—and I started thinking about how much the landscape of American soccer has changed lately. It’s kind of wild if you really sit down and look at the numbers from the recent tournaments. Everything feels so much more high-stakes now, right? I guess back in the day, we didn't really have that level of tactical depth or the sheer intensity we see in the big international windows today. Anyway, I was digging through the tournament archives and it got me wondering about our own national team's trajectory compared to these massive European powerhouses. Like, if we applied some of that same structural rigor we see in the top-tier clubs over there, where would the USMNT be? Maybe we'd actually be terrifying instead of just... being okay. Just a thought, though. I could be totally off base here, but the data seems to suggest that the gap is closing faster than most people want to admit. It’s all fun and games until someone actually starts playing disciplined defense, I suppose.

Wait, my bad—just realized you mentioned you checked the official site... honestly, whether you shoot someone an email or whatever, I guess Bryan Adams6 is right about checking the official stats on ESPN or something like that. I just can't seem to find any legit official numbers anywhere else.

USA vs. Ireland

Option one - backing the USA (@1.30 at DraftKings), maybe even taking the handicap (@1.80 at DraftKings). It’s pretty obvious here—the Americans are lightyears ahead; on paper, they're probably the heaviest hitters in this whole tournament. Meanwhile, Ireland feels like maybe the weakest squad in the mix... and honestly, the US desperately needs this win (since in the first round, they've "only" got that draw against Italy coming up)
.
Option two - Ireland fails to score (@1.65 at DraftKings). This feels pretty likely to me... the US is highly motivated, they can't afford to wait around, they need points. Ireland will probably just sit back and defend, mostly because they don't really have the talent to do much else. Even when they actually manage to get the ball, their transition is painfully slow getting it from the defense to the midfielders, let alone the strikers—they just lack the creativity and pace to push back against a powerhouse like the US. I'm expecting the Americans to hold about 60+% possession; they'll attack, and if they don't have the ball, they'll press hard to win it back immediately, since we all know that's how they play best... Ireland's only real shot might be set pieces, you know, some scrappy rebound or something, similar to what we saw against Team USA (🤦), but we all know how bad we can be at defending dead balls. Still, the US is in a different league entirely—you've got a duo like Ramos and Pique anchoring the defense, plus Casillas in the net... word is Torres is starting, and you could see against Italy how much more dangerous the US becomes once he gets on the pitch (basically, they just function better with a classic striker)
.
I'm leaning more toward option two ☕
.

just a quick heads-up , if you can, maybe hold off on placing bets until the official lineups drop on the official tournament site (http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/index.html). They usually post the rosters about an hour or two before kickoff...

Morgan Taylor592 said:Based on what they're announcing, it looks like the Italians are probably switching back to a back four, which means de Rossi will likely slide back into that holding mid role. They actually tried out that three-man defense for the first time during the match against Spain.

Yeah, I mean, it was pretty obvious during the friendlies that the back four just wasn't working—if my research is right, they lost 3-0 to Russia and 1-0 to the US—so I'm guessing they'll be running a back three today.🤷

Italy vs. USA

Option 1 — betting on the US (@3.30 odds). I mean, we’ve actually never lost to them—three wins and two draws if I recall correctly. Tsigi pretty much nailed it earlier—you just gotta bring that fan energy and go for it, whoever wants to 😁
.
Option 2 — betting "no" (@1.95 odds). Honestly, our defense isn't exactly giving me any peace of mind. Plete is alright, I guess, but he can definitely trip up when it counts. Corluka hasn't really been in top shape lately—probably because of that nagging little injury right before the tournament started—and Sifo, well, let's be real, he was never exactly world-class, so he could mess up at any moment. Strinic looked pretty shaky defensively against Ireland, too. And Srna? He’s playing more like an attacker than a defender these days... On the flip side, the Italians have Cassan, Baljav, and di Natale, plus Giovinac coming off the bench, not to mention those Pirlo corner kicks—and we've been pretty shaky defending set pieces lately. Basically, I feel like we might get smoked, especially if they score first 🙄. But then again, we always seem to play well against them (like I said, we haven't lost to them yet), a win guarantees us advancement, the guys are pumped, and everyone knows we tend to play our best against the heavy hitters. Mandžukić and Jela are both looking sharp... all things considered, I think we might actually score something too... plus, almost every game in this tournament has been a "no" so far—only two weren't—so why wouldn't today be the same? 😁

I'm going with option 2 ☕

Morgan Taylor592 said:Even regardless, Pirlo and de Rossi are a way stronger midfield duo than Ogi and Luka.

Except de Rossi is basically playing in the backline right now ☕

Memphis (they really need this win for the HCA against the LA Clippers—Orlando doesn't need anything here, they might just rest some starters, plus they'll be without Howard and probably Davis, so basically no real center in the paint; I’m expecting Memphis to absolutely dominate the boards with Gasol, Randolph, and Speights)
Denver (they need this to stay at 6th in the West, which puts them up against the LA Lakers next—honestly, I think they'd rather face them, especially without MWP and with Bryant dealing with some injuries, than have to deal with Oklahoma 🤷 playing Minnesota, who don't need much right now, are dealing with plenty of injuries, and I just don't see any way they have a chance tonight)

Routine ☕work

though it could've been even better—that other one missed by just a single point for Golden State and a couple for Minnesota 🙂

Dana Baker2 said:I mean, I’m really leaning towards the under here—if only we can see them come out swinging like they did in the first half. Just wish they could maintain that energy through the break, you know? Maybe.🤣

Yeah, maybe it’ll be one of those slower, more laid-back games... honestly, though? I think I'm gonna sit this one out. There's plenty of other stuff to watch anyway. 😁

I uploaded everything to SS-A about 10 minutes ago, and honestly, everything went through totally fine... I guess? No issues on my end.

Nicholas Chase34 said:Man, watching that Golden State vs. San Antonio matchup was... something else. I don't know if I can even find the right words—maybe just "intense" is too simple? It was a total grind. You look at how the Warriors are playing lately, and it’s like they’re constantly fighting against their own momentum, you know? And then you've got San Antonio, who just won't quit. They play that gritty, fundamental style that makes you want to scream at your TV sometimes, but you really have to respect the hustle. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it wasn't exactly a blowout, which is funny because you'd think with the talent on the floor, one team would just steamroll the other. But no—it was just a messy, beautiful, exhausting battle. Maybe it's just me, but I felt like every single possession was being fought for like it was Game 7 of the Finals. Just a wild ride from start to finish.
Maybe I’m just seeing things, but I’ve got my eye on San Antonio at 1.90—it feels like one of those spots where you could grab some value if you're feeling gutsy. I guess we'll see how it plays out, but I'm leaning that way.

I'm all in. ☕
Bradley Kern6 said:I mean, why on earth is the spread on the Spurs so massive? Like, seriously—they’re such a powerhouse right now, and then you look at Golden State and they just seem... off. I don't know, maybe it's just how the oddsmakers are looking at it, but it feels totally overkill. 🤷

I mean, look—it’s probably because Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili likely won't be suiting up for the Spurs, and honestly, without that trio, they just aren't hitting that same level of dominance... though I guess Golden State is pretty shaky as it is anyway, especially with all these injuries piling up lately, not to mention what Nicholas Chase34 was saying earlier.

So, here’s how it goes...

San Antonio @Play 👍)
Memphis Grizzlies They’re probably gonna need everyone firing on all cylinders for that HCA matchup against the LA Clippers—I mean, they definitely won't need much extra juice for the Orlando Magic game, so maybe they just bench a few starters to save some legs? Either way, they’ll be heading into things without Howard and likely without Davis, which pretty much means they'll be playing without any actual presence in the paint. I'm expecting the Memphis Grizzlies to absolutely wreck them on the boards—between Gasol, Randolph, and Speights, the interior dominance should be pretty overwhelming, I guess.
Denver Nuggets I mean, they really just need to scrape by and finish 6th in the West—then they’re looking at a matchup against the LA Lakers. Honestly? I think they’d actually prefer that. Even if they have to face a slightly banged-up Kobe Bryant without MWP in the lineup, it still feels like a better path than having to go toe-to-toe with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but yeah... that seems like the move. 🤷 They’re up against the Minnesota Timberwolves—a team that honestly doesn't even need this win right now—and with all these injuries floating around the roster, I mean... they don't stand a chance tonight. Not a prayer, really.

Keith Moore21 said:Memphis -13.5... man, that's a massive number to swallow. I don't know, maybe I'm just being cynical, but asking for thirteen and a half points is a huge ask in this league—especially when you consider how volatile these spreads can get once the betting lines start moving. I guess if you really believe they’re going to run away with it, then sure, go for it, but personally? That feels like a lot of heavy lifting for one side. Just my two cents, though.

So, they’re going up against Charlotte—and honestly, let’s be real, they’re easily the worst squad in the league right now. I mean, they aren't just losing; they're getting absolutely demolished by pretty much everyone. On top of that, the injury list is still miles long, and from what I’ve heard, things are getting pretty messy behind the scenes too—apparently, there’s been some friction between players and the coach, so the whole locker room vibe is basically non-existent. Then you look at Memphis. They’re one of the elite teams in the league, and they’ve been playing out of their minds lately. They’re sitting pretty in the 4th spot in the West, which probably means they’ll snag home-court advantage in a playoff series against the Clippers—who, if you check the standings, are also hovering around 4th with just one more loss than Memphis. When you weigh it all out—the massive gap in talent, the momentum, the team chemistry (or lack thereof for Charlotte), and those injuries—it’s hard to see this going any other way. I’m thinking Memphis walks away with a comfortable 20-point win, easy. 😁

Memphis pulls it out, 85-80. Tough game, man. 🙂

Man, if Henderson hadn't gone absolutely nuclear—and I mean that career-defining, 32-point masterpiece—we would’ve been cooked. We probably would've lost that one without even breaking a sweat, honestly. It was just one of those games, you know? Total madness.
