If you're gonna start dropping stats or news pulled from US media outlets and forums, maybe it wouldn't hurt to actually drop a link to the story? Just a thought.

By the way, the Portland Trail Blazers have actually won seven straight at home against the San Antonio Spurs.

You should probably include that bit about Portland.😁

Steven Baker12 said:The Utah Jazz have one of the most solid big man rotations going right now... whereas Denver is looking scary thin at those positions—like, seriously thin. Igoudala still hasn't quite found his rhythm within the system either, and you can tell it’s gonna take some real time before he actually meshes with the rest of the squad (which, honestly, is probably going to take a while). If you factor in that neither Gallinari nor Chandler have really brought anything special to the table this season, you just can't go expecting any miracles. Though, let me be clear—I've always had a soft spot for the Nuggets, they're definitely one of my favorite teams to watch.

The Orlando Magic might actually pull this one off today—if their shooting percentage stays north of 90%... though, I don't know. If you just look at the names and the roster on paper, it’s pretty obvious which way this game is leaning. Honestly, betting on a 1.75 line when you consider the possibility of JJ Redick draining maybe 20 threes? That feels kind of ridiculous to me. And besides, it's not like anyone is forcing you to put your hard-earned cash on these kinds of parlays... nor is anybody making you sit there and read what other people think... so... yeah. 😉

Man, I don't think you really caught my drift with my last post... I wasn't actually trying to comment on your take or what you’re predicting for tonight's games—it was more about the way you wrote up how they'd end, you know? Like, all that talk about gifts, surprises, and "if this happens, then that" stuff... it just doesn't really square with how these teams are actually playing right now. And honestly, if you're seriously out here thinking the Orlando Magic can only pull off a win because of JJ Redick... I mean, there's just no logic there. 😉

>>pa look, it’s just straight-up nonsense or lies—that's just the reality of it, I guess—but whatever... I get what you're trying to say, and I definitely wasn't trying to take a personal dig at 👍.

Steven Baker12 said:Orlando Magic vs Brooklyn Nets 2 @ 1.75

That Coefficient is basically a gift from the sportsbook ...

Denver vs Utah 2 @ 2.5

Denver is still trying to find their rhythm... while Utah has looked more than convincing over the last few games ... the odds are so good I'm taking this as a lock... I mean anything other than a Utah win would be a total shocker.

Oh please, stop talking nonsense... seriously, because people who don't understand the NBA are going to read this and get greedy—it's statements like those bolded ones that cause problems🤦.

The Orlando Magic have shown that even after all those roster changes and looking weaker on paper, they might not just be some easy target... if their perimeter shooting starts clicking, anything can happen, especially since the Brooklyn Nets play absolutely atrocious defense—plus, they probably won't even have Ben Wallace playing his best defensive game tonight, and their offense is still a complete mess...

That second game is even more ridiculous... Denver is clearly the stronger team on paper, and Utah is notoriously bad on the road—I honestly don't know where you got the idea that they've been "more than convincing" lately... sure, they beat the Lakers, but the Lakers are a total mess right now, and before that, Utah had lost three straight on the road, and in their first home game, they only beat Dallas when Dirk Nowitzki and Marcin Gortat weren't even in the lineup...
I'm not saying both road teams can't win—not at all—but maybe dial it back a bit with these kinds of claims...

stormyseal9 said:I mean, betting like that is just asking for trouble—you're taking all this risk without any real upside🤷. Honestly, I'd rather stick to a spread around 1.85 or just a straight win if the odds look decent. Bookies always seem to miscalculate things sometimes, kind of like what happened with the Golden State Warriors vs Memphis game the other day😉. Today’s lineup is actually pretty solid, even if there are only three games on the board. I’ve got one matchup locked in my mind, but I’m not saying a word until I actually put my money down☕.

Exactly. I'm totally done chasing those tiny odds... yesterday had a few really nice matchups, but man, whenever I try to play a single or maybe a double at most... my luck was basically just being able to grab Memphis Grizzlies -5.5, so I guess I managed to snag that despite how much the LA Clippers were sucking lately...

Memphis Grizzlies vs Utah Jazz 1
The home side looks solid here—Utah is usually a different beast when they're playing at home, but they completely fall apart on the road, and I just don't see how they pull an upset against a Memphis Grizzlies squad this good...
LA Clippers vs Cleveland Cavaliers 1
Honestly, you don't even need to overthink this one. The odds tell the whole story (@1.20)—the home team is way more talented, so anything other than a win for them would be a massive shocker...

Screw those "sure things" at 1.20 and stuff like that—I'm done chasing those...

I don't really have much time to dive deep here, so I'll just give you two quick picks

Memphis Grizzlies vs Utah Jazz 1
The home team has the edge here—the Jazz are usually a different beast when they're playing at home, but honestly, they look like a totally different squad on the road, and I just don't see how they pull off an upset against a Memphis Grizzlies team this solid...
LA Clippers vs Cleveland Cavaliers 1
There isn't even much point in overanalyzing this one; the odds pretty much tell the whole story (@1,20). The home side is way more talented, and anything other than a win for them would be a massive shock...

stormyseal9 said:Carmelo under 27.5
-it’s basically the same story for him as it is for the rest of the squad. I mean, he dropped 30 on the Miami Heat last time (10-28), but honestly, most of that was thanks to his perimeter game (he was 4-8 from deep), but today? I don't think he's going to go crazy for those reasons alone—you have to account for the fact that Marcus Camby and DeAndre Chandler are back in the rotation, which should naturally eat up some of those shot attempts.

Look, Chandler played this last game, so there's no "return" to speak of there... and as for Camby, if he ends up taking like five shots, I’ve said my piece—that’s not really going to touch Carmelo's volume at all. He's just one of those guys who is always going to hunt down his 15-20 looks, and he can pretty much drop 30 points on any team without even breaking a sweat... so players like that are always such a gamble to bet on. If he gets hot and starts hunting, he'll easily cruise to 25-30 shots, and then the over starts looking super tempting... obviously, I'm rooting for the under here too, I'm just throwing out my two cents and making a few tweaks to the logic. 😉

Keith Moore21 said:The matchup between the Orlando Magic and the Denver Nuggets—man, I don't know, there’s just something about this one that feels different. Maybe it's the vibes, or maybe I'm just overthinking it, but watching Orlando try to hold their own against a powerhouse like Denver is always such an interesting grind. You've got the Nuggets playing that high-level, disciplined ball, and then you have Orlando trying to disrupt the rhythm with that young energy. It’s a tough ask, honestly. I guess we'll see if the Magic can actually make things uncomfortable or if Denver just cruises through this one like they usually do. Either way, I'm buckled in. 2
Look, I’ll keep this short and sweet—Denver looks like the heavy hitters here, while Orlando is looking way weaker than they did last season. They lost some massive pieces—I'm talking about guys like Dwight Howard, Anderson, and Richardson—and even though they picked up a few solid players to fill the gaps, the overall vibe is just underwhelming. To make matters worse, they’re playing tonight without four key players due to injuries. On the flip side, Denver should be pretty much at full strength, aside from Mozg, and word on the street is that Gallinari might actually suit up. Anyway, long story short, I’m calling it now: I'm expecting Denver to grab their first win of the season tonight.

102-89 👎

JJ Redick and Big Baby absolutely tore through Denver—it was honestly kind of wild to watch. 🤦

Joshua Gonzalez33 said:Honestly, they didn't lose by much—they actually beat Gerald Martin, who’s a solid veteran, so let's be real. Sure, their defense looks shaky, but offensively? They aren't doing too bad either. Plus, they snagged Adam Lamb, the 12th pick, who everyone's calling this massive "steal" for Houston—like, people genuinely think he's worth way more than a top-12 guy—but weirdly enough, he barely saw any action against the San Antonio Spurs 🤷 Now, I don't know if that was just a one-off thing or if the OKC Thunder coach is planning to bench him (which would be a massive mistake)... who knows..

I'm also feeling pretty good about an Oklahoma City Thunder win tonight. Like, 90% sure.

If you ask me, they struggled on both ends of the floor... why?! Because right now, they're basically just leaning on Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant as the only guys capable of creating their own shot or actually setting someone else up. Everyone else seems totally dependent on them—either waiting on the perimeter for a shot or hanging out under the rim hoping for a layup or a dunk... James Harden was that third piece that really took the pressure off those two, even helping settle Russell Westbrook down and covering for his mistakes. I mean, Harden has those playmaker instincts, he could carry the bench production, kill it in isolation, hit streaks from deep, run the break, and he was actually solid defensively... don't forget, James Harden was the main reason they were able to take down the San Antonio Spurs to make the Western Conference Finals last season.😉
I don't know, personally I think they look like a worse squad than they did last year. We'll just have to wait a year or two to see how it plays out...

jadesailor said:I'm sitting here staring at an OKC parlay, and for those of you who actually know their stuff—what are the odds this doesn't hit tonight? I mean, if I take Portland at +4.60, I could pull off a pretty sweet little windfall 🤷

So, look, generally speaking, Oklahoma is looking way weaker than they did last year after that trade where they let Harden walk... the bench depth just isn't there anymore, and honestly, I'm kind of worried Westbrook is gonna go absolutely rogue tonight, which is usually a recipe for disaster since if his shot isn't falling, he basically becomes a liability... on the flip side, you've got a Portland squad that’s young and loaded with talent, and those guys can beat anyone on any given night. But then again—and this is the thing—Oklahoma is a beast at home, whereas Portland struggles big time on the road and plays way better in their own arena... so, I guess my gut says Oklahoma takes it tonight... though, hey, if you're playing with more serious cash, maybe you could hedge your bets by putting a smaller amount on Portland just to be safe 🤷

Bryan Adams6 said:Man, I remember one time I put my whole parlay on just the Nuggets... and honestly, it feels like history is repeating itself tonight...I mean, there’s no way they can actually play that catastrophically bad—just constant mistakes—two times in a row, right? 🤷

Exactly. 👍

Orlando vs. Denver 2
Short and sweet—Denver’s got this in the bag, and Orlando? Honestly, they look way weaker than they did last season... I mean, they lost some massive pieces—guys like Dwight Howard, Al Horford, and maybe even someone like Buddy Hield—and while they picked up some decent role players, the overall vibe just feels off. To make matters worse, they're playing tonight without four key guys due to injuries. On the flip side, Denver should be pretty much at full strength, minus Mozgov, and word on the street is Gallinari might actually suit up... anyway, yeah, I'm calling it now—expecting Denver's first W of the season tonight.

Keith Moore21 said:Utah vs. Dallas 1
I'm leaning towards Dallas not pulling this one out tonight... I mean, they just got hammered by a Lakers squad that wasn't even playing their best, and honestly, with all these new faces coming in, they aren't anywhere near being cohesive yet—they’re gonna need some serious time to gel. Plus, Dallas is on a back-to-back, which always sucks, and Utah at home is just... tricky. They can beat anybody on a given night. On top of that, Dallas is missing Dirk and Kaman—so yeah, two massive big men gone—while Utah is actually one of the most dominant teams in the league when it comes to those interior spots. Between Milsap, Favors, Jefferson, and Kanter, they should really control the paint tonight. Sure, Dallas has a better perimeter game, but you can't just sleep on Utah (Mo Williams, Randy Foye, G. Hayward, Marvin Williams...) so I think the home team's advantage inside should outweigh Dallas's shooting outside... combined with the fatigue from the back-to-back and the Utah crowd, I'm calling it for the home team tonight...
New Orleans vs. San Antonio 2
Man, there's basically no debate here if you just look at the rosters—it’s pretty obvious. It would be a massive shocker if the home team walked away with a win... and even though the visitors are missing Manu, they've got plenty of depth to step up and fill that void. The main reason I'm picking this is that I don't see anyone who can actually slow down Tony Parker, and once he gets into a rhythm, the Spurs are basically unstoppable. Besides, the Spurs have this reputation for absolutely tearing it up during the regular season—they often have one of the best records in the league—and in my book, they've got the best coach in the NBA and a deep bench of solid players... I think I might even put a single bet on the Spurs at -6.5...

Utah Jazz vs. Dallas Mavericks 1
I’ve got a feeling Dallas isn't walking away with a win tonight... I mean, they just went up against the Lakers yesterday—and even though the Lakers were playing pretty rough, there are a ton of new faces in Dallas right now, so things aren't exactly synchronized yet. It's gonna take some time to gel... Plus, Dallas is on a back-to-back, which is always tough, and Utah is one of those tricky teams at home—they can honestly beat anyone on a given night. Dallas is missing Dirk and Kaman, which basically means they're down two major big men, while Utah is actually one of the most dominant squads in the league when it comes to interior play... I'm thinking Milsap, Favors, Jefferson, and Kanter should really control the paint tonight. Sure, Dallas has a better perimeter shooting lineup, but you can't just sleep on Utah (Mo Williams, Randy Foye, G. Hayward, Marvin Williams...) so I think the home team's advantage inside should outweigh Dallas's edge outside... especially considering the back-to-back situation and the fact that it's in Utah... yeah, I'm leaning toward the home team tonight.
New Orleans Pelicans vs. San Antonio Spurs 2
Honestly, I don't think there's much of a dilemma here—you just have to look at both rosters and it's pretty obvious... it would be a massive shock if the home team pulled this off. Even though the visitors are missing Ginóbili, they've got plenty of guys who can step up and fill that void decently enough... the main reason I'm making this pick is that I just don't see anyone capable of stopping Parker, and once he gets going, the Spurs are basically unstoppable... besides, the Spurs are famous for absolutely tearing it up during the regular season—they often have one of the best records in the league—plus, they've got what I'd call the best coach in the game and a deep bench of quality players... I think I'll just take the single bet on the Spurs -6.5...

Chicago vs Zelina X2 2.70
15:00
small stake

Coach Bonačić actually got canned because he wouldn't play the club president's son—which, honestly, fair enough. Apparently, Luka Bonačić turned them down because the atmosphere at the club was just totally toxic due to how the president acts. Some assistant coach is stepping in to lead the squad, but man, who knows how that’s going to go? Especially after the guy walked out of training on Saturday when the president stormed in and started barking orders at the players about how they should be playing. They'll be missing Pavlović at center back, Oršulić in holding mid, and Frljužec up front...
The assistant mentioned they might run a 4-3-3, but I really doubt anyone knows what state of mind the players will even be in after the absolute circus we've seen lately.
On the flip side, you've got Zelina—they aren't carrying all this baggage, they seem pretty well organized, and even though their attack is a bit shaky, they're facing Chicago, so I guess they could definitely scrape out at least a draw today.

Just saw this now 🙂

Respect. 👍

So, I’m gonna try to get my write-up ready for the Southwest division (who, you know, killed it last season)... though I honestly have no clue when I'll actually wrap it up—fingers crossed I can pull it off sometime this week 😁

btw, if you guys head over to http://nba.com/, there are previews listed for every single team... just type "previews" into the search bar in the top right corner and it should pop everything up for every squad... anyway, hope the writing holds up okay 👍
