The Big Lebowski. A masterpiece of aimless chaos—is there anything more perfect? I’ve attempted this three times now—only to be interrupted every single time. Is anything actually supposed to stick?
Neglected by choice—and likely never to be cared for—is the state of all modern American war movies. Honestly? Any version of Cinderella is more grounded in reality.

One more thing—something the moderators managing this forum and the crowd gathered here should probably realize from the jump:
If someone’s been hanging around this board and following this thread for years because they actually care about the subject, they likely have a decent grasp of how those foreign legal systems work—and they're writing from that perspective. It isn't about cluttering the thread with empty outrage or aiming venomous little jabs at people just because they woke up feeling spiteful—especially after a thousand perfectly reasonable posts where they haven't shown any interest in attacking anyone's existence. Regards to all.
Everything stays the same if you don't approach the post with your finger on the trigger :)—I already commented on how ridiculous it is when trolls act shocked while using these threads just to spew hate speech.
I am requesting an immediate review of my recent ban—which was handed out unjustly—for allegedly engaging in hate speech. It should be obvious from my posts that I don’t support any kind of animosity, nor do I fuel hateful rhetoric. If citing an expected death penalty as an objective fact under American law is what triggered this, then I simply don't get it—how does stating a legal reality constitute "promoting hate"? And now I'm stuck with a 500-point penalty? Ridiculous.
Charles Fox10 and Nica, I am asking for a ruling based on actual reason here.
Movies. I’ve been steering clear of the whole TV series hyper-production craze for quite some time now. I haven't even touched Game of Thrones. Honestly, I just don't get the impulse to binge two entire seasons of something in a single night.

Yeah. I actually sat through it just because of this thread. The first half is decent enough—classic 90s sci-fi vibes😍—but the second half? Just a dragged-out mess. God, what an Elijen. 🤦😁
Ashley Grant66 said:I'm not sure if anyone here has actually sat through Byrne's film True Stories—I was just posting about it over in the Film section recently. Honestly? That album might be the only one of his where I can't quite say I'm a huge fan... but the movie is a must-watch—think of it as a sort of absurdly comedic take on a Wenders film. 😁
I missed this one—definitely going to have to check it out.
I’ve always had a soft spot for David—it was love at first listen, specifically through the lens of Windows like Humans do. 😁 There’s just something about that offbeat vocal delivery of his—it really hits the spot. Is there anything more exhausting than watching people try to dissect art that was clearly meant to be felt rather than analyzed? It’s just another endless loop of overthinking—can we please just listen to the music for once?
The movie is a total wash—way too long, too. Will Smith just isn't up to the task here, and honestly, why sit through that entire rant just to see Russ?
Jason Brown5 said:Thanks for confirming what I was getting at 👍 The one thing you still need to grasp is that you aren't the one calling the shots here. On most major platforms—unlike that toxic mess over at Reddit—you wouldn't even be permitted to say something like that in the first place. It’s essentially a non-starter. The moderators have their own supervisors to answer to. If they’re incompetent, they get replaced. And just as importantly, we don't allow every single idiot to spit on them (God forbid I'm referring to you).
This post is a perfect example of someone who shouldn't be a moderator—not even a low-level sheep, let alone the lead mod of a major American forum. Bad moderators don't get fired; instead, they linger for years by sucking up to the owner, hiding behind a "tough guy" persona while pretending to actually moderate. In reality? They're just little tyrants who get a cheap thrill out of deleting posts or banning users.
Real moderators are respected; they don't clutter the threads, and most importantly, they don't go around threatening the users. They actually attract people to the community.
The fact that you're still around is a failure of the entire system—something everyone has been debating for days now.
I was expecting something with a bit more wit. That lazy roommate character was just tedious—honestly, I’ve never been a fan of that cheap shaming humor they lean on.

Exactly. Like Britney Spears. Maybe try cleaning that screen of yours once in a while. 😁
Patrick Martin said:If you ask me, it’s his best performance—but then again, the guy is a total wreck. Drugs, addiction, sex, identity crises... just one mess after another.
Well, if Steven Seagal is your hero, I guess it works. He could probably clear out a crowd just by staring them down with that forehead of his.
I realized he’s a disaster on every possible level—could have used a touch more self-deprecation, honestly. But we're talking about a comedy, aren't we?
Volaric is so gloomy and perpetually scowling that for half the movie, I honestly thought I was watching some heavy-handed drama. Even the girl he supposedly adores can't manage a single smile.
And those business meetings where you could cut the tension with a knife—what was even the point of that? Then there's Alma Prica, looking like she’s still stuck in Halim's way, staring at her son with this interrogative look and rolling her eyes while he just swaps one frozen expression for another. Jesus, why is everyone so incredibly depressed? 🙂
Aside from that stiffness you'd find in some uptight cafe in Malibu, the rest isn't half bad.
It’s entertaining enough. I have zero complaints about Chrystal—she was far too good for this movie. A brilliant critique of that mindless, spoon-fed aggression—the kind where you don't even grasp the purpose behind the rage. That dialogue between Chrystal and Athena was top-tier, especially when Athena starts acting like everything is somehow Chrystal's fault. 🤣 Though, I will say, once those two finally face off, the film devolves into some sugary nonsense about who’s more important.
For me, the standout moment? That exchange between Chrystal and the National Guard commando. Absolute perfection.

But all you're doing is coddling them into a false sense of security. It makes all the expert advice regarding precautions totally useless when everyone on this forum just dismisses everything as stupid or "unnecessary panic mongering."
That kind of mindset is exactly what triggers this insane level of repression. Just look back at how the immigration threads started.
There is absolutely no massive responsibility tied to a post—this is just an online forum. A forum exists, by its very definition, to clash ideas—even the extreme ones, the stupid ones, or those other kinds.
