An absolutely stellar film 👍

I watched it and immediately forgot the whole thing. There’s really nothing worth mentioning here. Lawrence has definitely delivered better performances than this, and honestly, Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper feel like they were just thrown in there for the name recognition. The script is predictable and incredibly naive.

What a cinematic powerhouse! This is a stellar neo-noir piece that offers a truly unconventional viewing experience. That continuous single-shot direction feels almost suffocating at times—it’s exhausting, honestly—but that tension is exactly what makes it so brilliant and leaves such a lasting impact. Plus, the Spanish woman who has newly moved and plays Victoria absolutely earned her paycheck given how much screen time she commanded 👍

It stands out as one of the best movies of the year, and I can't recommend it enough.

Instead of a charming family adventure packed with wonder and imagination, we ended up with "Pan," which feels like a chaotic collision between "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Indiana Jones," "Journey to the Center of the Earth," and "Mad Max." It’s pretty obvious to anyone watching the train wreck exactly what happens when you try to mash that many different concepts into a single film. "Pan" was supposed to breathe new life into the classic tale of Peter Pan, the boy who refuses to grow up, but the only thing it actually managed to achieve was creating a massive headache.

I honestly can't wrap my head around what else people were expecting from a horror-comedy 😁

Animated movies aren't just for kids, and "The Little Prince" is yet another flick that backs that up. The whole idea of "growing up without losing your soul" pops up constantly throughout the story, serving as a reminder that some things are simply impossible to outgrow. You’ll probably find some critics nitpicking the director for drifting away from the source material in the second half or getting a bit too experimental, but I wouldn't hold it against him; the core message remains perfectly aligned with the original book. Just let yourself get swept up in the magic and the journey of "The Little Prince," which ultimately exists to remind us of life's fundamental truths and warn us that while we chase our own version of a rose, we shouldn't forget what one actually looks like.

While "The Little Prince" does a great job pulling you into its world of fantasy and animation, certain directorial choices prevent it from reaching the heights set by this year's heavyweight champion, "Inside Out."

"Krampus" doesn't boast a brilliant screenplay or a roster of A-list stars capable of carrying a heavy production, yet it makes up for those gaps with sheer creativity, sharp humor, and a killer soundtrack—which unfortunately leaves its massive potential feeling somewhat unfulfilled. Horror fans might find themselves wanting more visceral scares, since the most chilling moments stem from the mere anticipation of Krampus showing up. While Krampus has always been a bogeyman for little kids, perhaps he actually has something to say to us adults who have long since stopped believing in him. I suspect that was the film's true north: moving away from the hyper-materialistic frenzy of the holidays and leaning back into the actual spirit of Christmas and family connection. Sure, the holiday rush and the obsession with gift-giving aren't going anywhere, but we shouldn't lose sight of the core values preserved through tradition. Ultimately, "Krampus" is an inventive holiday tale that provides solid entertainment; grab a couple of beers, and I think you'll find yourself laughing out loud at certain stretches. Just be warned: once you catch a glimpse of Krampus, you might think twice about leaving that stocking hanging by the window next year. Especially once all the lights go out.

@AMC Theatres

AMC follows all the standard industry regulations, which state that trailers and advertisements before a feature can run for up to 25 minutes. Most shows stick to about 15 minutes, but when they have one of those massive blockbusters, they tend to push it to that full 25-minute limit. Honestly, I find the whole thing pretty irritating; sitting through that much extra footage is often just exhausting.

I haven't encountered this much sheer pathos and naivety in a single movie in quite some time... It honestly feels like the entire production was conceived at the intellectual level of a ten-year-old.

Part 1 was a disappointment, and Part 2 manages to be even worse. It’s a real shame, especially considering the massive potential the series showed after those first two installments were actually decent.

Rather than focusing on gritty street crime and underworld dealings, New York City becomes more of a backdrop for family dynamics between brother Kray and the tragic romance between Reggie and Frances. In "Legend," those raw, visceral gangster stories from the East Side are largely missing; instead of a high-stakes crime thriller, we’re left with a somewhat lukewarm biographical drama centered on Hardy's one-man show. While Hardy delivers a solid performance, the film really shines through its production design, particularly with the vintage American muscle cars and those classic mid-century lounges that perfectly capture the vibe of the swinging sixties. Ultimately, "Legend" feels a bit too sanitized for a story about supposed "demons"; it leaves you with the impression that the Kray brothers weren't quite "gangster" enough, given how easily they seem to fold in their upscale suits without a single shot being fired.

"Vacation" is a genuinely fun, laugh-out-loud comedy that manages to avoid falling straight into the trap of tired clichés. While you’ll definitely notice echoes of those classic Chevy Chase family movie franchises, this flick brings its own flavor to the table through a certain level of audacity and a refreshed comedic sensibility. Even though we’re following the predictable mishaps of the Grinch family on their road trip, the writers pepper in enough edgy, slightly provocative jokes and silly, lowbrow humor to keep things from feeling stale. I’d say it’s worth checking out this latest adventure where the Grinch clan sets off on a massive 2,560-mile trek in a rented Ford Econoline, only to realize their GPS is stuck on some random language they can't understand. The roadside detours are clever, and the whole experience is backed by a really solid soundtrack with great song choices.

Don't let the unfairly low scores on most review sites throw you off; just sit back and enjoy the ride. By blending old-school charm with modern gags, "Vacation" succeeds at exactly what any good comedy should aim for: making people actually smile.

Aside from "Mad Max: Fury Road," nothing I've seen this year has hit quite as hard as "The Walk." There is an anthology-style sequence where the brilliant Joseph Gordon-Levitt traverses a wire between the "Twins" while the classical compositions of Ludwig van Beethoven swell in the background; it’s a moment that defies description and leaves you genuinely awestruck. Zemeckis has this way of demanding your absolute focus, pulling you into the tension. As Petit nears the end of his daring feat, that initial physical dread melts away into a massive, ear-to-ear grin—a sense of pride and satisfaction so deep it feels as though you were standing there witnessing one of the greatest artistic achievements in history firsthand.

I caught it too... and honestly, I wasn't impressed at all. 👎

"The Scorch Trials" might look good on screen, but it prioritizes mindless action over anything resembling a coherent plot, especially compared to how the first movie handled things. That sense of mystery and genuine originality we saw in "The Maze Runner" has been traded in for a recycled dystopian landscape, some generic zombies, and bits of footage that feel ripped straight from better movies. It’s also weighed down by those heavy-handed, melodramatic clichés—you know the ones, the "it's all my fault" or "I can't leave you behind" tropes—that somehow still seem to work on younger audiences. The main characters spend the entire runtime sprinting, though I'm fairly certain they have no idea where they're headed or why. It’s clear this was built as a commercial product; the goal isn't to create tension against monsters or a hope for the future, but rather just to run blindly toward the next big paycheck.
