stormyharbor2 said:Honestly, my nose was even worse than hers. 😉 Those ones that "merge into the forehead" are just masculine, Roman-style noses.

There's also Dr. Lojpur; he seems like a genuinely nice guy. 😁

Every surgeon has "ruined" a few noses—it’s all subjective anyway. Personally, I think the noses people here are calling the "perfect" results are actually pretty botched. 🤣

😁 It's true, it's all subjective... I don't know, those photos from Dr. Glusac aren't exactly great... I mean, looking at the noses in them... and they weren't even taken head-on. We can't exactly claim he didn't photograph them that way just because the nose was swollen, and then Dr. Toncic posted them and suddenly they look amazing. 🙂
stormyharbor2 said:If you're seriously losing sleep over the anesthesia, just go see Dr. Glusac. Honestly, my experience was great; even right after surgery when I was basically a mummy, I was sitting there grinning in bed and scrolling through my phone. 🤣

I heard they have a solid anesthesiologist 😁, but if word is he’s actually "wrecked" a few noses, then it makes you wonder how smart it is to book him... I'm genuinely torn. My plan was to get the surgery done ASAP (around 6 or 7 months out) since that's the only window I have free, but now it turns out the doctor I specifically wanted isn't exactly top-tier...🙄
stormyharbor2 said:Mine looks pretty similar to that now, just with much wider bridges and maybe a slightly lower tip—sort of a subtle "hooked" look (though most people probably wouldn't even notice).

That girl posted her photo on this thread ages ago, and honestly, she has such a beautiful nose from every angle. Especially from the front—just a cute little thing with narrow bridges. When I first saw her, I actually felt like driving over to Tončić's office.

I’m getting a bit nervous, though. I heard from two different girls that they had issues with the local anesthesia at Tončić's place; apparently, they could feel everything...
Dennis Walker11 said:Unfortunately, I have to admit that I’m on the same page as Kate Lee43 here—the changes are practically negligible. You can barely see any significant difference at all :// Personally, even if Kate Taylor59 leans toward Glusac, I find myself siding more with Tončić... especially considering that whole business with Tončić's anesthesia :/ I don't know about this... 😕

I don't know... Glusac actually managed to give Princess a stunning nose; hers wasn't wide at all. But the real question is, how would he handle my case? Looking at their profiles, I personally find Tončić's noses more appealing, and besides, the guy took an en face photo. Apparently, Glusac's en face work is a total disaster—at least that’s what a few people on the forum and elsewhere have been saying... Tončić tends to aim for a more natural look, and honestly, so does Glusac. You shouldn't expect any massive transformations, especially if someone doesn't start with a huge nose... or one of those "parrot" types.
Looking at Glusac’s work online, his results are all over the place. I’ve seen some noses I actually like, but then there are others that are just a total disaster—there’s one woman whose nose looks like a pig because they lifted it way too high. It's wild. Now, Tončić has been in the game for 35 years, while Glusac only has about 14 or 15 under his belt. But hey, having more years doesn't automatically mean he's better, does it? Not necessarily.
Tončićev's photos were taken with a decent camera; you can actually make out all the details. With Glusac, unfortunately, it's a different story... I can barely see a thing.
Some people were saying there isn't much of a difference when it comes to Tončić... hmmm, I'm not so sure about that. Just take a quick look at the first page—one girl posted her nose before and after the procedure... there's a massive difference there. And then, in the end, you're back to "I don't know," because apparently everything is just relative. You're basically rolling the dice and hoping for the best, and whatever happens, happens.
Emily Reed51 said:It all sounds great in theory, but I’m always going to be on one side of this debate, and frankly, I don't have the patience for the nonsense. 🙄

Here you go, http://www.toncic.net/hr/kirurski-za...orekcija-nosa/ 😉just in case.
Emily Reed51 said:And where on his page did you actually find Tončićev's nose job photos? Because everything I've managed to dig up so far just looks like his standard profile.

If you go to his page, click on cosmetic procedures—the nose stuff—and then just scroll down.🙂
So, I’m still caught in this tug-of-war between Glusac and Tončić... honestly, Tončić does a better job with noses. I just got back from my appointment at the clinic, and yeah, his work looks more aesthetic to me—plus, he takes those front-facing photos, which is actually a huge deal for me.
I noticed he’s specialized in otolaryngology too, which is definitely a nice little bonus. 👍
My only real hesitation is the anesthesia part. I’ve been reading some horror stories about girls having issues with it—apparently, they were all feeling something during the procedure. 😕🤷
Dennis Walker11 said:I absolutely agree that everything needs to be hashed out with the doctor first. I'm not leaving anything up to chance. 😁 I can't wait. 😁 😍

God willing, it all works out. 😉
stormyharbor2 said:You could have just sent me a private message. 👎 Honestly, there’s really no need to reach out to me anymore. It’s not like I "trashed" him—as a surgeon or as a person. I was simply offering some constructive, honest feedback regarding the results he gave me. Two other girls who went to him said the exact same thing—that you shouldn't try to reshape the tip itself, but rather just lift it to harmonize with the rest of the nose, depending on your natural anatomy and what's actually possible.

Seriously, please, just scroll back through ten pages of this thread. I already mentioned that I found the doctor trustworthy; I liked his personality and everything else about him. It's just that I am not exactly thrilled with the outcome. rustygardener172, who follows this topic religiously, can vouch for that.

I wasn't even talking about you...
rustygardener172 said:Best of luck!!!!!!!! You absolutely have to check back in once you have those first impressions...

As for Dr. Glusac and the tip of my nose... he didn't touch it at all. 😢 It’s a bit of a bummer, honestly, because I actually would have preferred if he had. His philosophy is basically that there's no point messing with something that already works, and well, I hadn't explicitly asked him to intervene. When he asked what my goals were, I told him straight up: I just want to be able to breathe properly and have a nose that looks straight from a profile view. That is exactly what I got. The man delivered precisely what we discussed and agreed upon.
So, if anyone here is currently prepping for surgery, my advice is this: iron out every single tiny detail about your nose and everything you want changed before you walk in. I failed to do that because I assumed that since I was undergoing surgery, he would just "know" how to fix everything. But that's not how it works. A doctor executes exactly what you tell them to execute, yet so many people say very little while expecting a total transformation. I think that's why there's such a high rate of dissatisfaction out there.
And just so nobody gets the wrong idea—I am not dissatisfied. I actually quite like my nose as it is right now. 😍

Your nose is top-tier, though. There's a reason he left the tip alone—it all looks perfectly balanced. 👍
At least, that's how it looked to me... he actually suggested working on my tip because he thought it looked terrible... I can send photos via PM if anyone is interested.
feralwolf47 said:You're right, I totally get where you're coming from. I really hope everything works out for you too. I actually asked a buddy of mine for some photos, but unfortunately, he doesn't have any. Apparently, he wiped them all just so he wouldn't have to deal with the memories of that whole childish little brawl.🙂
He did mention a specific doctor, though—says his experience was incredibly positive.👍

Thanks, and honestly, I'm hoping for the best too. It’s not exactly a small thing, after all.🙂)
I was just wondering if she might have a photo of her new nose?😛

REVISION TIME!
Honestly, I’m about 1,000,000% more terrified than I was the first time around. Wish me luck... 🙂

I'm rooting for you. Truly. I hope this is the last time you ever have to go under the knife and that they finally get everything fixed up properly once and for all 🙂 also, just curious—where are you heading for this?
I've been reading through a ton of comments about Dr. Glusac—some pretty brutal, some actually positive... first off, I saw one girl absolutely tearing him apart, which honestly felt totally unfair. She claimed he doesn't even touch the tip of the nose, but that’s just not true from what I’ve gathered. Personally, Dr. Glusac told me he would completely correct everything on my nose. Who knows what her expectations were? Even the doctor himself mentioned he has no intention of performing those tiny, overly reductive procedures that certain other surgeons do, leaving patients unable to breathe later on... Unfortunately, I haven't met him in person yet, but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by his professionalism. When I emailed him, he gave me such an extensive, detailed response; he really took the time to address my specific issue. And when I followed up with more questions, he answered every single one. I mean, can you imagine how anyone else would react? They’d probably just say, "Just come in for a consultation," refuse to give me any actual info over email, and then charge me a fortune...
So, the guy has definitely earned some trust from me. At the end of the day, you have to believe your doctor and just "hope for the best." It's true that, sadly, I haven't had the chance to see his work in person. A few girls sent me some photos, but they aren't exactly high-definition... Since I have such a long drive ahead of me to get to Miami, I'm just terrified that once I finally arrive and see the actual results, I'll be disappointed hahahah... but I have to stay optimistic... I'm just hoping the doctor realizes exactly what I'm looking for and manages to work some "magic" on this pig nose of mine. 🤣
coastalscout18 said:Does anyone happen to know... does Dr. Glusac cut that muscle above the lip..?

No.😉
feralwolf47 said:True, there are always conflicting opinions out there. Since this is such a sensitive area, it’s tough to know who to actually trust. A friend of mine had surgery with Ivo Dzepina not too long ago, and he was pretty happy with the results.

He ended up with a busted nose during some drunken brawl, but now it’s fixed up and actually looks better than it did before.🙂

I’m honestly so glad he’s happy with it. There’s nothing quite like that feeling of finally being satisfied after dealing with so much frustration and a lack of confidence over something that, honestly, can be easily fixed these days...
I realize perfection doesn't exist—and I'm certainly not looking for that—but I would just love to have a normal nose, and that’s really it... Does your friend happen to have a photo of his nose he could share with us? I’m genuinely curious...
It’s a shame nobody was actually there at Dr. Dzepina’s ENT clinic; I’m genuinely curious about his actual "process"...
Reading through this forum, picking a specific doctor feels like trying to balance on a seesaw... you've got the satisfied patients on one side and the disgruntled ones on the other... honestly, I'm terrified I might end up being part of the latter group...🤷
The whole thing is such a massive gamble. If I just needed to fix a minor bump, sure, where else would I go? But my nose needs a ton of work—the doctor himself said so—plus there's the issue of functionality...
Olivia Nelson37 said:Has anyone actually been to see Glumicic? I'm curious about the anesthesia... I heard they offer general, but not the "real" kind, so now I'm just confused.

thanks

lp

It’s probably more like sedation... basically, you're asleep, but you can still talk to the doctor if needed.
You should check his website to see which specific types of anesthesia they use; I'm sure it's listed somewhere...
Anyway, the final call is usually made with the anesthesiologist based on your medical history. So, even if he says he does general anesthesia, if your body isn't up for it, they'll likely opt for heavy sedation instead... (which I've heard can be pretty unpleasant, but don't quote me on that—everyone reacts differently...)
stormyharbor2 said:Yeah, right after the surgery. It honestly baffled me why most people found those first couple of days to be a total piece of cake, but I couldn't really tell the difference between being congested from the procedure itself versus just having a standard cold, so I can't give you an objective take.🤷 Regarding breathing through your mouth—it’s not actually that exhausting. I assume they'll give you some drops, and honestly, that nasal spray works wonders.

Who are you again? Sorry, my brain is basically mush today ://
Would you mind repeating that?
stormyharbor2 said:Oh man, tell me about it. I spent a few nights waking up completely—and I mean totally—parched. My mouth was so dry I could barely swallow, just desperate for a drink. Between using nasal sprays to clear my nose and dealing with a fever and a nasty cold, it was a mess. Honestly, though, pushing through it was worth it because that feeling afterward is just priceless. 🤣

Is that happening after surgery? Because I've dealt with terrible sinus issues since I was a kid... it’s honestly awful. Not to mention the constant ringing and buzzing in my ears... probably all linked to the sinus stuff, I guess...
I'm feeling pretty under the weather right now, and honestly, I didn't get a wink of sleep last night because of my nose... (just one nostril being completely blocked)... it was getting so irritating that I kept reaching for the nasal drops over and over. It makes me wonder how on earth I'm going to manage once the surgery is done... though, I suppose I am some kind of 🙄
