From what I can gather about how the appeals process works, they basically wait for the moderator to weigh in first before passing it up the chain to someone higher up. But since he’s nowhere to be found on the site, I’m honestly not sure how this is going to play out.

Count me in. I’ve tried signing up and sending out a few PMs, but it feels like I’m just shouting into the void here—nobody’s getting back to me. :/

It’s pretty obvious they were never taught that you shouldn't take your own frustrations out on the public, let alone leave a trail of wreckage in your wake 😁

Wait, who’s this?
How do I print a table in Excel? in IT Support ·
Exactly, you basically have to "inject" some color into those barely visible lines because they’re designed to be subtle 😁 but you really have to step in and manually apply whatever color and stroke weight you’re actually looking for

Hey everyone,

I decided to start a thread (), but as you can see from the attached screenshots, I ended up getting the whole thing locked. I tried being perfectly reasonable and polite when I reached out to the moderator to ask for an explanation, but all I got back was this via DM:

First off, I have no idea what they mean by "tourism," and frankly, I don't get why the thread was locked in the first place. There were just two idiots spamming the board; common sense dictates they should be the ones getting penalized.

Best, John Doe

If you open another thread like this, you’re the one getting a strike.☕

I'm curious to know if this kind of behavior from the site administration is actually allowed. It feels like a total injustice to shut down my topic and then follow it up with such a blunt, arrogant response—it honestly feels more like a threat than anything else.

Best,
PC (monitor) shuts off after 5 minutes of gaming in IT Support ·
If you're already planning on doing some maintenance, you might as well go all out and clean the entire rig. Just be careful with the graphics card; you don't want to accidentally damage anything while you're scrubbing away.
btw, it’s also possible that your GPU resources are just too weak for this game, which could actually be causing the overheating—especially if you're pushing it hard at 220 FPS.

By the way, there's a limit to how high you can crank that frequency. He’ll be able to support whatever speed he's currently running at, but you absolutely cannot drop the frequency below what's specifically rated for your RAM

What is an .odt file? in IT Support ·
To be honest, I’ve never been much of a fan of OpenOffice, and I really don't see the point in dealing with ODT files... it’s just so much easier to stick to a single, universal standard like DOC or DOCX.
Issues with Yahoo Mail in IT Support ·
It looks like you manually set it up to require identity verification whenever you log in from a new device. You should probably dig through your email settings to double-check that; I can't tell you exactly where it's buried since I've never actually used that specific service myself.
Help! Keyboard or PC issues in IT Support ·
And you really ought to double-check that everything is seated properly; in offices where there's a massive jungle of cables, it's all too easy for something to lose contact, resulting in those annoying intermittent connections where it just works one minute and cuts out the next.
Too much voltage fried the speaker(s). They're on their way to the scrap heap—functional, technically, but basically dead. I once had a surge take out my entire PC, two TVs, the fridge, and even the water heater... So, honestly, just smile and go grab some new ones. When you look at what happened to me versus what you're dealing with, it’s like I was dining at a Marriott while you were grabbing a quick bite at a roadside taco stand😁.

Honestly, your best bet is just to ask someone you know if you can swing by their place, plug in your hard drive, and just pull all your data off manually—all for free.

That’s a really fascinating innovation, and honestly, there are plenty of ways we could actually put it to use. Thanks for sharing the info 😁

I’m starting to realize that if I don't look this up right now, my browser is just going to boot from the USB drive and won't save a single thing. Pretty funny 😁

I’ve gotta admit, even with my background in IT, I’ve never actually heard of anything quite like this before. :S

Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if it’s just me, but I constantly forget to switch over to incognito mode, so I end up having to go in and manually clear everything out myself. -.-

@velvettiger35, you definitely gave me a good laugh there 😁

There’s always the option of just clearing out your browser history, just in case you don't want your husband stumbling upon your late-night internet rabbit holes...

And if you're actually talking about specific files on your computer, you'll want to be pretty careful with how you set up those NTFS permissions and user access rights...
