Anyone seeing any decent action on Speed Trap?

darkmarlin16, a question for you:

Would you attempt a fast lap in Q3 on the hard tire, if those were the only tires left?
silverviper44 said:Come on, stop lying. Everyone knows Vettel has arguably the best Ferrari he's ever driven. The issue is clearly him, not the car. The guy is a four-time fraud. 😁 😁

He isn't some influencer who could win a championship even in a Williams Racing. 😁 😁

Exactly. That’s my point all along: Ferrari has been riding Vettel like a tired workhorse, yet he handles it like a gentleman because he's honoring his contract until the end.

I honestly don't get what idiots are running Ferrari. Every single damn point matters when you're fighting for the prize money.

It isn't a matter of lacking cash, but their wind tunnel is far more valuable.

Dana Murphy4 said:I actually told him myself that he couldn't have done any better than that lap, so maybe that's why he ended up getting out of the car. It’s a bit of a shame because I suspect he might get overtaken quite easily tomorrow, so I suppose the gap between him and Vettel could end up being about three or four spots. If you look at the driver-to-car ratio, I think Leclerc definitely drove the most impressive lap today. As for tomorrow's race, I feel like Bottas should be able to win without much trouble, though I guess his start might be an issue since his starts during the last two races were pretty rough. A lot is probably going to depend on the pit crew too, because since the track will likely be crowded at any given moment, I imagine if they stay in the pits just two or three seconds longer than usual, you'd lose way more positions than normal.

Exactly. Not because he had no tires left for a fast lap.

He should have stayed out on those last remaining hard tires and delivered an even faster lap.

In that case, he wouldn't just be an alien; he would be from another galaxy entirely.

🤣 🤣 🤣

No, it’s about the "poVVer" track. 🙏

That is what they claim.

That handball goal and that dribble straight from the center circle? That basically sums up his entire career—both on the field and off. One word: fraud. Two words: selfish egoist.

Back to the topic at hand:
I assumed George Russell would perform well, but I definitely wasn't expecting him to clock such impressive times. Unless he ends up getting caught in a collision or a podium battle (which is looking way more likely now that Romain Grosjean isn't driving), it's almost a given the kid will pick up some points. I’m genuinely curious to see if he can carry this momentum into qualifying and if he'll manage to keep a clean sheet against his own teammate.

Casey Hill57 said:Does anyone feel like going over to Bottas and telling him this is just a practice session rather than an actual race?
Poor guy is really stressing himself out over nothing, but he just won't listen.

If it isn't meant to be, it isn't meant to be. Why bother fighting it?

Pure myth.
Postal has brightened up, just as he finds himself single again. A mere coincidence, I suppose... 🤣
From basketball, most certainly. 😁
Maybe provide a translation once in a while... 😉

Look closely. Once Sainz is out of the picture. 🤣

They already are. 🤣

Impressive. 🤣

Quote : NASCAR Daytona

The NASCAR experience from the pit lane is incredible. Getting up close to the crews and walking the track itself. Big thanks to Davorin Stetner for the hospitality. It’s a dream chance to meet so many legends of the sport. However, what I’m about to say actually hit me harder than anything else.

So, after qualifying, the drivers head to a cordoned-off area for media interviews. Hamilton, Bottas, Leclerc, Vettel, and the rest. I've always pulled for Ford, but now I'm pulling for Vettel even more. The guy finishes his last interview, heads toward the locker room, sees about a dozen cans and plastic bottles scattered on the floor, and turns right back around to pick up everything everyone else trashed and put it in the bin. The man has endless money, but clearly, class is something he learned at home. Respect.

Oh, you noticed that too? 🤣

Exactly. There was no unsafe release; the driver had full control. Someone intentionally shoved Ricciardo into the barriers, which caused him to yield to Lewis Hamilton. Otherwise, things could have been much worse.

It’s an identical situation to what we're seeing today.
It isn't.

At the exit here, Lewis Hamilton maintains control over the car, which actually makes Hamilton's situation worse.

The tires were a complete disaster regardless of their age...
everyone was driving on ice, and there was a massive wind blowing...
But that isn't an excuse for Sebastian Vettel. He knew the tires on his car were garbage. He knew it was windy, and he knew he’d lose grip the second Lujo got in front of him...

The front wing snapped due to vibrations from damaged, heavily flat-spotted tires. On top of that, Vettel engaged DRS, which surely only increased those vibrations and the chance of the wing failing...

Ultimately, he is to blame for this.

He wasn't in sync with the car all weekend and simply blew the race.
He had everything handed to him: a great start and first place...
He just needed to pull away from Charles Leclerc instead of letting himself fall into Lewis Hamilton's pit window and the rest of the pack...

When you frame it that way, few will disagree.

To me, there remains a distinction between this spin and the one in the final lap in Canada, for example.

I cannot articulate the difference. Damn it. 😁

I still suspect something happened right before the spin and the front wing failure.

Max and Lewis didn't even touch.
