Frank Collins85 said:Jerga started screaming about how the stewards penalized Vitaly Petrov, and we all know how much Jerga loves Grandpa, right?

Nah, the stewards didn't even bother investigating who did what to whom... I mean, Petrov definitely cut someone off, but Grandpa wasn't exactly looking to let it slide either...

Give me a break... you're acting like this is news. Since when does Grandpa just let things go? 😁

By the way, I think Jerga is a decent guy and he actually does a solid job (if he could just stop reciting his lines like he's reading a script), but some of his calls feel almost amateurish.

I like Vitaly Petrov, I really do, but someone needs to go rip that right side mirror off him. He isn't using it anyway. 😁

darkmarlin16 said:he crossed the white line coming out of the pits—didn't get called for it, though😲 and then in turn one, Vitaly Petrov just drove right over his front wing. He ended up finishing 17th☕😁

So why even bring up him crossing the line if it didn't actually lead to a penalty or land him in 17th? I assume you're just pointing it out to show how unfair Austin Evans can be and how they don't hand out penalties based on what actually happened on track, or do you honestly think grandpa would have had a better result if they'd actually penalized him? 😛

Can someone give me a quick rundown of what happened with my grandpa? 🙂
stormybadger8 said:Massa finished first. 🙏

Total nightmare. Honestly, I spent most of the night hoping it was just some fever dream I had while sleeping through the chaos. 😱

🤣

Well, at least my old boss at Ford was decent enough to work for. 😍
How'd it go? I ended up passing out right after the third lap. 😍

Heh... yeah, well, the race isn't over just yet. 😁

Good grief... Mr. Smith! 🙏

Suttle... a little bit out of his mind? 🤷 🙄

Maybe he’ll actually find some momentum now... though it's a bit late seeing him try after half the grid already pulled out and the season is basically dead in the water.😍

Is Grandpa seriously trying to show off for Nico?! 😬

Things like this always manage to brighten my mood. You forgot to mention that his luckiest years were back when he was still a kid and actually had an extra day in the week just to work on car development 😛

As for Alonso, I'm right there with you.🙈

I didn't forget. I just chose to leave that little detail out on purpose. 😛

The issue with Schumacher is that you can't replicate that today since testing is banned—the guy literally built his entire existence around being in that cockpit.
Look, I'm not against team orders, but there's a massive difference between what happened then and what we saw back in the Austrian GP 2002. Back then, it wasn't forbidden, and I'm pretty sure Ferrari got hit with a million-dollar penalty... so who knows what's coming next. I highly doubt they'll just stop at $100,000.
Honestly, don't hold your breath for anything other than an even steeper fine in US dollars. It feels to me like the penalties handed to Ferrari over the last two races were way too harsh due to circumstances, so now they're probably going to try some "compensation" move.

Btw.... when Massa was at the press conference and asked "what happened?", he really should have just said: "Well, you all saw it... Alonso was simply too fast for me... he's one of the fastest drivers to ever live, if not *the* fastest... I just didn't stand a chance against that kind of pace"
Of course, he’d have to pull that dead-serious face while saying it (you know, the Pervan style).
That would be a massive blow to Alonso's ego... and honestly, he wouldn't even be lying; he'd just be telling him and everyone else the truth.

Rebecca Fox4 said:I honestly don't understand how anyone can even attempt to compare Alonso and Massa to those legendary eras at Ferrari..........Schumacher *was* Ferrari. He was the one building the car alongside his mechanics, he was the one putting in the testing hours. Pure, relentless work ethic. Back then, everyone knew exactly who the second driver was and what their role entailed. But compared to how things are run today 🙄......Alonso 🙄

I actually feel a bit sorry for Alonso. Ever since that Michelin era ended, he’s been stuck in this mindset that he’s still some kind of untouchable legend.....

And that pretty much sums up the whole Alonso, Schumacher, and Ferrari dynamic.
Schumacher lived and breathed Ferrari, working seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Then this arrogant little brat shows up and suddenly thinks he's "the king of the world". Yeah, right... 🙄

So, they just posted this over on Facebook F1racing.com.hr:

Just for some weird trivia:
2007 - Alonso moves to McLaren, and the team ends up before the World motorsport Council.
2009 - Alonso is at Renault, and the team faces the World motorsport Council because of a rigged race.
2010 - Alonso joins Ferrari, and the team gets summoned before the World motorsport Council.

feraltrucker5 said:Honestly, watching them is pure entertainment for me. 😍 😁 And here I am, actually rooting for them. 😬

Man, they’ve spent the entire season acting like absolute idiots out on the track, so it’s kind of a nice change of pace to see them save all that stupidity for the post-race cooldown. 😬

And because those two morons couldn't get it together, one thing is certain—Ferrari is going to take the hit for it.

feraltrucker5 said:Why wouldn't they? 😁 If they actually had any brains, they’d exploit this for all it's worth because drama like this is pure gold for publicity. 😁

Let's be real here, rule-breaking like this has been happening for ages... it was most glaringly obvious back during the Schumacher era at Ferrari. Except back then, we didn't have these ridiculous little theatrical performances, like the Alonso-Massa situation, playing out in front of the cameras. 🙄

Not happening? Are you kidding me? What about Schumacher basically dragging a clearly pissed-off Barrichell up to the top step of the podium, when you could tell the guy would've much rather decked him with his helmet? 😂

That was a lifetime ago; Alonso hasn't quite mastered his knack for being a walking jinx yet. 🤣

Barrichello always acted like he’d been cheated, whether he actually was or not—not that it's my business, but I don't recall him making public scenes quite like the two guys we see today.

To be clear, I’m not questioning team orders. What’s questionable is the sheer stupidity of how the Ferrari duo behaved once the race was over. 🙄
GP Germany - 07/25/2010 in Formula 1 ·
feraltrucker5 said:So, let me get this straight—none of you actually have an issue with team orders as a concept, right? It’s just that you can’t handle seeing it happen live in front of your ultra-sensitive eyes, and frankly, you lack the backbone to deal with it. 🤣

Good grief, I had no idea there were so many fans living in Potemkinov's fake villages. 🙏

It’s all just too transparent. It’s all just one big violation after another. Rules are rules. But I guess when you decide to ignore them, you just start making up whatever convenient little fairy tales suit your narrative. It’s a joke. You end up with a No2 driver acting like a glorified errand boy, dodging every real question thrown his way and playing the part of some offended socialite at a press conference.

To be honest, rule-breaking like this has been going on for a long, long time... you could see it most clearly back during the Schumacher era at Ferrari. But even then, we weren't dealing with these kinds of moronic, theatrical displays like the Alonso-Massa stunt they pulled at today's press conference. 🙄
