Are you running a triple monitor setup? 😬
I guess 1GB VRAM Usage is plenty for most games at 1080p, and 2GB is probably just right—you shouldn't really need anything more than that, so it's likely not something to stress about
The power supply is okay for now, I guess, mostly because the Nvidia GeForce GT 730 and your processor don't pull much power. But honestly, you should probably look into upgrading everything eventually—the DDR3 RAM, and maybe a decent 400W unit from something like Corsair or EVGA.

I could still play some games from 2012, though obviously on totally low settings—some stuttered a bit, and surprisingly, some wouldn't run at all... I'm planning to swap it out for one of these: Gainward nvidia 2gb ddr3 gt620, geforce n610sl 1gb, sapphire hd5450 2gb, msi nvida geforce n620 2gb, or an asus nvidia geforce gt620. I have about $50 or so to spend. It's not much, but I don't need anything crazy powerful... If you guys know of a better option, feel free to let me know; I might be able to stretch my budget a little if it's worth it. Also, I'm currently using a 17-inch old CRT monitor, but I'll be moving up to a 21-inch LCD soon.
Honestly, none of those are really an upgrade; they're barely any better than your current 8500 GT. This would probably be your best bet here:
There seem to be a few errors in this table... It shows an Athlon X2 6400+ for the HD 5750 and GTX 260, but then lists an X4 740 for the HD 5770 bottleneck 😂
I suspect the CPUs in rows 3, 4, and 5 might be slightly underestimated. Based on this, it looks like the 3870K actually outperforms the X4 960T 😬
The 3870K is slightly slower than the X4 955 BE, but since it also has an unlocked multiplier... at 3.8 GHz, I guess it could probably handle an HD 7870.
Was this GTS 450 bought separately? Because I don't really see the point of pairing an APU with that Nvidia card😬
Well, you did the review yourself and pointed out how solid this PSU is. It might actually be total overkill unless you're running CF/SLI alongside an overclocked Intel Core i7-8700K 😬
Well... I suppose that one with the Bronze certification is decent enough, though I guess I’m not a huge fan of putting those CXeve units in high-end builds.
It’s probably total overkill, but I guess you might actually get some use out of that PSU if you decide to throw in a CF setup and go for a crazy overclock on the CPU 😬

You definitely need a fresh power supply and a bit more RAM... plus, I guess this card is a pretty perfect match for that processor (though there might be a slight bottleneck).

Graphics Card: Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 6850 RAM: 4 GB DDR2 800 MHz (2x2GB) Hard Disks: I've got one 250 GB drive in there for now, though I might toss in another 320 or 500 GB one later on. Optical drives: one LG DVD-ROM.
Maybe you could just hang onto that power supply for a future build too... I guess it might come in handy.
I guess this link leads to some power supplies over at a retailer. Looks like they have a decent selection of units available if you're looking to swap one out.

This setup is actually a bit better than yours, and since it's brand new, there's just no way you're getting $3,000 for that... unless you have original, licensed Windows copies... otherwise, maybe $2,000 at most.
Justin Rogers59 said:So, here’s the question... $400 It really comes down to what you're looking for, I guess. Is AMD or Nvidia better? It depends on your budget and what you're trying to do.
I guess Nvidia doesn't even have anything in the same league as the HD 7850 at that price point; the GTX 650 Ti is sitting around... $367It’s definitely a lot weaker, though I guess it might sit just a hair above the HD 7770.$283I guess the one in the link above is the way to go. 😉
