Given they're a full lap apart, I guess the gap is probably just down to fuel weight—maybe a 30kg difference per stint. In my opinion, Ferrari was likely running much lighter.

He popped a 1TB HDD into that $1433, but he ran into some trouble while trying to copy-paste.

Please tell me you didn't actually buy that 😁 ...it would probably be much easier to put together. Are you picking it up from Best Buy because of the financing plan? Or is it just a budget thing?

It’s honestly better to be upfront when you're dealing with a crappy blower fan 😁 ... though I guess that doesn't apply to the TRI-X cooler (and really, it doesn't apply to about 95% of other VGA coolers either).

Maybe try borrowing an NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT from someone else first, just to be absolutely sure about the issue.
Otherwise, you could look into this:

It’s noticeably more powerful than what you have now...
What kind of CPU are you running? If it's strong enough, you might want to grab a Radeon HD 6870 for $167 since that's way faster than an HD 5770.

Sophia Anderson35 said:Isn't 450W a bit cutting it close for a build like this? I'm running 500W right now, and honestly, I don't think it's even worth looking at anything under 600W.
Nah, you've got an 84W CPU + ~170W GPU + about 50W for everything else.

Grab that beQuiet! unit before someone else snags it 😁.
It’s got efficiency almost 80 + Silver, decent capacitors, and the build quality seems solid enough.

a budget rig: Speedplus SH-S22
cpu: intel celeron e3400
motherboard: asrock g41m-vs3
ram: 2gb ddr3, i think cpu-z shows a dram frequency of 398.9 mhz, is that the actual speed?
gpu: amd radeon hd 6570
hard drive: some 500gb samsung, I guess
psu: just some 110v unit
Prža: $17
CPU: $33
Motherboard: $67
RAM: $33
GPU: 100-$40
HDD: $50
You didn't list the PSU model; 110V is just the standard US wall voltage, so that doesn't tell us much about the power supply itself.😬

That power supply 🙂 Terrible regulation and ripple issues 😉
The Hyper for $17 is way better, can hit up to $1733.

$400 sounds about right. I probably wouldn't downgrade either... I mean, your GPU is actually more powerful than an HD 5770, which you can still find going for around 300-$117

With an ASUS Z97 Motherboard, you could actually overclock processors with unlocked multipliers, but since you're working with a locked one, maybe an ASRock H81M or an H81M-HDS would be enough for you.

Robin Brooks2 said:But let's play hypothetical for a second—if we assume the draw hits somewhere around 250W, would this power supply actually hold up?
From what I can gather, my PSU provides 44A on the 12V rail, which works out to about 528W based on my math. If we take a GPU pulling roughly 250W and a processor overclocked to 4.5GHz taking maybe 150W, plus another 60W for everything else, we’re looking at a total load of approximately 460W. In my view, this unit should handle that without breaking a sweat, even if the card ends up drawing closer to 270W. I came across some discussion on an American tech forum suggesting that staying within 80 percent of a power supply's capacity is perfectly safe. What's your take on that logic?
Suddenly you're the expert, huh? 😬 🍿
