Yeah. Even from a quick glance, you can see the blatant cheering for our enemies and all that Putinophilia. Gross.

I don't think this kind of stuff should even be allowed, hiding behind the usual excuses about "free dialogue" and "hearing both sides." If people actually care about that, they can go hang out on Eastern news sites and forums... ☕

That's why they'll always hit resistance. Personally, I have no problem with anyone keeping things private and living their life behind closed doors without needing to parade it all over the streets.

Like I said, you don't need religious indoctrination to understand what sin is.
Thank God I haven't had to fight for my rights on the street, nor do I think the street is the right place to be demanding anything.

I'm not bothered by it. Let everyone live however they see fit.

People fight for basic human rights. For centuries, they were slaughtered like animals, persecuted, mocked... pushed to suicide.

That’s why there will always be pushback.

So basically you're pro-skinhead and pro-stoning them... if that's your take.

I personally have nothing against anyone keeping it to themselves and practicing privately without needing to parade around the streets.

It's a political right to fight for human rights.

You don't need religious indoctrination to know what sin is.

True. But for religion to drive a good person to commit crimes, you definitely need faith.

Thank God I didn't have to fight for my rights on the street, nor do I think the street is a good place to demand any kind of rights.

We'll see how you feel when they cut your Social Security... or some other benefit. You'll be out there marching in the streets then.

Just leave me alone, everyone should just live however they want.

Hypocritical... because not everyone can just do whatever they want while stepping on others.

Kevin Ruiz36 said:It's just like those Mexican films. I remember when a version of Robinson Crusoe aired in the States—it played like a horror movie. Now, the version being broadcast on TV in Germany tries to pass it off as a comedy where the main guy ends up being gay at the end. That's the state of Europe for you; homosexuality gets more propaganda than what was actually given by God.

The Catholic Church's commitment to celibacy has led to far too many gay priests and cases of pedophilia. When you try to suppress sexual energy—which is one of the most potent things God gave us—you inevitably end up with behavioral and personality deviations.

And homosexuality is "God-given" (innate).

The Catholic Church has tons of gay priests because of celibacy.

Why does male homosexuality bother you so much? I'm guessing you don't have an issue with women being gay?

Homosexuality has nothing to do with celibacy; it's just how people are born.

and pedophilia.

It's got nothing to do with pedophilia either. It’s cheap to lump them together like that.

By trying to suppress sexual energy—which is one of the most potent gifts God gave us—you end up causing deviations in behavior and personality.

Sure, it probably causes plenty of psychological issues, just not the ones you're aggressively mislabeling. 👎

Kevin Ruiz36 said:The first Christians were essentially a Jewish sect, much like how the modern church views Jehovah's Witnesses as a sect today. And honestly, parts of Christian indoctrination (brainwashing via specific dogma) likely stem from ancient Egypt, just like the Jewish religion itself. Regarding sin, you don't need to be religious or "taught" to recognize which actions result in the imprisonment of the mind and the spirit. Stories about possessions have logical explanations. I once knew a kid—couldn't have weighed 110 pounds and had zero physical strength—who told me he was so psychologically shattered and aggressive over some injustice that, fueled by adrenaline, he lashed out so hard that eight SWAT officers couldn't restrain him to get him to the station. It was purely psychological, emotional, and physiological. Someone deeply religiously indoctrinated would have assumed he was possessed by an entity.

Looking at it from a broader perspective, the Angel is an archetypal part of our being, our superego (the Higher Self), while the Demon is the lower, more animalistic archetype (the Lower Self). We are both at once. To maintain balance, both the Angel and the Demon must be satisfied within us to a reasonable degree. One of the best movies from the North America that captures this truth in a somewhat bizarre yet funny way is *We Are Not Angels*.

Nah. A "Jewish sect" would be Jews, not Christians. Christianity actually branched off later in Antioch, and they weren't even Jewish by faith—they were actually pretty hostile toward the Jews as a nation.

And if parts of Christian indoctrination (brainwashing via specific dogma) also stem from ancient Egypt, just like Judaism itself.

Christianity grew out of Judaism; they basically swiped the Old Testament and all its concepts to compile their own version, the New Testament, where God handed over all the perks to Christians while stripping them away from the Jews. Then Muslims took both texts and put together their third testament (the Quran), where God-Allah essentially rewrote everything for Muslims. You know the drill. 😁

Looking at it from multiple perspectives.

Because you can.

An angel is an archetypal part of our being, our superego (Higher Self), while a demon is the lower, more animalistic archetype (Lower Self). We are both at once. To maintain balance, both the angel and the demon have to be satisfied within us to a certain reasonable degree.

There’s no balance in imbalance.

One of the best films from the North America on this topic, which portrays the truth in a somewhat bizarre yet hilarious way, is We Are Not Angels.

God, what a load of nonsense. That’s even worse than those low-budget movies back home... 🤦

Nicole White said:Hey there! I’m not entirely sure if this is the right place for this kind of thing, but I’ve been wondering... how many actual sayings from Jesus, or passages specifically dedicated to His direct teachings, can we actually find in the Bible? Is there some kind of definitive list or a specific count? I'm looking for something focused on His particular doctrines and instructions—you know, more like the core texts you'd find in Buddhism or Zoroastrianism. I don't mean all the various interpretations from different spiritual scholars or philosophers over the centuries; I'm talking about the raw, direct words straight from Jesus Himself.

Not many at all, maybe a few pages tops. And most of that is just recycled stuff from the Old Testament: "It was written..." or "He said..."

Which leads me to think there wasn't actually such a guy walking around back then in Israel. The magic tricks and the whole miraculous birth without a man—that's clearly just myth, along with all the sorcery like walking on waves or those loaves and fishes that magically appeared out of nowhere to feed thousands of Jews. It’s the same fairy tale found in the Old Testament, just copied over.

I don't think it's some massive lie, it's more like some Greek writer who made up the name Mark just composed an instructional spiritual parable about the Messiah appearing.

And people, being people, love magic and literalism. They love following God and divine heroes as ultimate authorities so they don't have to think for themselves, so that story turned into a belief that it actually happened. But it didn't, obviously.

What specific teachings or instructions are we talking about?

There aren't any. It's all just cheap peasant parables like: "see clouds coming, a storm is near," or "cut off your hand if it leads you to sin"...

You know, like in Buddhist or Zoroastrian texts—not interpretations by various spiritual scholars or philosophers, but direct words from Jesus himself.

The fairy tale says Jesus rose from the dead and finally "explained everything" to His clueless disciples over 40 days. It would've been great if someone had actually recorded what this post-resurrection Jesus was saying during "Jesus's teaching" once they finally saw the supernatural apparition. But nobody wrote down a single word about it. All we get is the heart-wrenching story about the "evil" Jews who plotted to kill Jesus and actually "succeeded."

Basically, a religious fairy tale. A myth... ☕

Ethan Hill said:Look, a lie doesn't usually stick around for this long if there's zero substance behind it.

Do you actually believe Jesus was a real person? Like, do you buy that God revealed Himself through Jesus, and that He eventually became the Son of God?

There’s the actual town of Nazareth in Israel where Jesus grew up, the empty tomb, the stations of the cross, the Shroud of Turin... stuff like that.
"Most historians pretty much agree that Jesus was a Jew from Galilee, known as a teacher and healer, baptized by John the Baptist, and eventually crucified in Jerusalem on the orders of the Roman governor Pontius Pilate for allegedly conspiring against the Roman Empire."

Superstitions and religions hang on regardless of the truth. Same old story.

Do you actually believe Jesus existed,

Nah. At best, he's a 1:3 ratio.
I figure it's just an inspiring parable based on the Old Testament about the Messiah, told by Mark the Greek. 🙂

that God revealed Himself through Jesus, and that Jesus eventually became the Son of God?

Aren't we all technically God's children? 🙂 People see whatever they want to see.

There's the city of Nazareth in Israel where Jesus comes from,

Hard to prove, since there's zero evidence.

the empty tomb,

Plenty of those, but they were cooked up later.

the Stations of the Cross,

Made up much later. There's even the flying shrine of Mary, Jesus' mother, currently sitting in Loretta, Italy. 😁

The Shroud of Turin...

Medieval hoax, proven by Carbon-14 testing. 🙂

"Most scholars agree

... but there isn't enough proof. Jesus still hangs in limbo as a historical figure.

As long as it encourages spirituality, empathy, personal growth, and being a decent human, it's fine as inspiration.😉

Kevin Ruiz36 said:Jesus wasn't even considered God until the Council of Nicaea, when He was equated with God the Father. Christians viewed Him as the son of God until a newer, expanded version of the faith emerged.

Not true.

Early Christians already believed Jesus was God; they were just busy arguing over whether He was "one" with or "of the same substance" as the Father—all that theological nitpicking and defining what they actually believed.☕

Ethan Hill said:Why call it confusion? You either believe or you don't believe all those testimonies throughout history. It seems pretty silly to think massive crowds of people have been lying for two thousand years. Those testimonies speak their own truth.
I've listened to other people's stories. I listened when I was at my absolute lowest. At the end of the day, it's about that prayer to God you craft in your own mind and heart. You pray when things are hitting the fan and nobody else can help you. You pray for health, for the survival of your body, mind, and soul—you aren't praying for a new Ford F-150. Pain is what births the need for faith; pain creates faith, and faith leads to testimony and personal experience.
It might actually be harder if you just inherited a religion and a system rather than receiving a living testimony of the elixir of life. It's impossible to fully know yourself. And even when you reach your own truth through that radical self-examination, who are you then? Once you aren't being driven by someone else's stories, upbringing, or worldview... are you happy? Personally, I'm happy with who I am. I'm at peace. No pain.
How do you help yourself when you're hurting, if it isn't through something like Normabel? 😬

Other people's stories about God healing and easing pain aren't there to confuse you, and they aren't contradictory. They exist as a historical witness. Stories vary because people vary, but the core essence is always the same. These stories carry the remedy; they are a living God.

Just imagine if your psyche decides to heal you. 🙂

Psychological breakthroughs and healing happen all the time; they aren't exclusive to the teachings of Jesus. 🙂

Look, the Apostles (the guys who actually hung out with him) basically chose death—and not a pretty way to go, either—when they were pressured to deny Him... once they started building Christ's Church!?
I don't know about you, but that fact alone is enough proof for me of Jesus' greatness, holiness, and status.

Plus, this tiny group of people—who back then were rejected, marginalized, poor, and persecuted, all led by Jesus' words—literally changed the world!!
Isn't that absolutely mind-blowing!?

I mean, plenty of teachers have come and gone, but only someone truly special can kickstart something like this...

Right?

Btw; the work of the Holy Spirit is so obvious in people who truly convert that there's no "earthly" explanation for it. People change from the ground up (OVERNIGHT!!)...
Some of Jesus' biggest, most terrifying, most relentless persecutors became His greatest supporters after being touched by the Holy Spirit... willing to face death for Him!!?
Just saying...
Same goes for... just look at the lives and testimonies of hundreds of Christian saints over the last 2,000 years!

What more do you need, man!?

That's just some later church propaganda cooked up without any actual proof to back it up.

I don't know about you, but that one fact alone is more than enough proof of Jesus's greatness and holiness for me.

It’s not even a fact. Believe those myths if they help you sleep at night, though.

Same here... just go take a look at the life stories of hundreds of Christian saints from the last 2,000 years.

Most of those miraculous martyrdom stories from early Christian saints are just church legends. As for religious fanatics willing to die for their ideology? Yeah, we all know those guys exist.

You're lying about the moderation on the religion sub again. There are always creationists there, including the most hardline types (people riding dinosaurs, Young Earth, Noah's flood...).

When we have forum users who assume "science" is inherently anti-religious by default.

No, it's actually that religious opinion is the negation of the scientific method. It relies on absolutes, holy books, undeniable divine revelation for all eternity, dogmas, magic, "just believe don't verify," and so on.

Anthony Perez9 is right here; people often fed him nonsense because they didn't know how to keep it civil. Not all believers are as kind-hearted as they think they are; a quick glance at the Religion section convinced me there are more trolls there than ever before.
The masses of believers struggle with dogmatism, exclusivity, and intolerance.

Personal insults are against the rules here and rightfully earn you a ban.

Is rational criticism of religions hate speech? Of course not, but religious fanatics would love to label it as such just to see people persecuted.

Most of the truly vitriolic insults and hate speech actually come from believers themselves when they talk about people of other faiths or those without one. To them, outsiders are "servants of Satan, possessed by devilish lies, immoral degenerates crushed by Noin flood... hunted by the holy Inquisition, destined for painful eternal fire." Did I actually say it was "shameful"? No, I didn't. It’s just a kind of religious narrow-mindedness and fanaticism that pushes against modern science, humanistic principles, and education just to protect ancient religious myths. You'd basically be undermining all of that by casting doubt on evolutionary theory and stuff like that.

I just hope religious institutions never get enough cash to run their own private armies. Basically just pseudo-scientific institutes. It’s a total farce.

It turns out folks back in the Middle Ages didn't actually think the Earth was flat. Just thought it would be nice if people stopped acting like they did. Yeah, sure. And I’m the King of England.,

Early church fathers were all about that flat-Earth creationism, picturing a tiny little world sitting right in the middle of everything, surrounded by these sparks—stars—that could just drop down on us at any moment. All because of how they read the Bible.

She isn't the only one, either. There's more. I'm not sure what you mean by "naslov" here—if you're looking for a title or just starting a thread, give me something to work with.

There's way too much of it. apologetic Looking for some books that actually defend the faith? Just one-sided lies. Whatever.

Anyone who thinks the medieval Catholic Church, Christianity, or religion in general has always been at odds with science clearly hasn't done their homework. Or whether they were systematically persecuting and killing, torturing, or burning people at the stake. Scientists, believers in...

The Church had a real thing for science, so they basically backed it systematically. They just let them rot, honestly. Just ignored everything and let those books crumble away. While she was busy printing her little treatises on God and Jesus. And sure, she obviously "systematically persecuted and killed, tortured, and burned" anyone who didn't fit her vibe.

That's exactly what I'm getting at. Religion gets a free pass because they let it slide.. 😁

So you're basically implying the religion PDF is full of lies.

Whatever. What else is there to say about that Catholic Church? Corruption, pedophilia, shady business deals... what else you got? (which, honestly, is just how any other organization works anyway), a Nobody is actually arguing against that, not even Catholics.

You're gonna get the objective truth about Catholicism from me. So, you think I'm some kind of Protestant creationist? Give me a break.Yeah, you know how it is.

Let’s be real, nobody can actually argue with the fact that the Catholic Church, Christianity in general, and religions at large have made massive contributions to modern society—everything from science and art to education and philosophy. It's just one of those things you can't deny.

Christianity includes, just like any other religious group, a huge variety of people doing all sorts of things. But Christian ideology is a different beast entirely.

The anti-science crowd—the ones fueling superstitions, creationism, stubbornness, regressive thinking, Flat Earth nonsense, conservatism, antisemitism, demonology, hate speech, conspiracy theories, misogyny, and hatred toward every other faith or sect... if they had any power, they’d drag us straight back to a dark, Christian Middle Ages.

And honestly, the same applies to any other religion, especially Islam. ☕

He wins everything through humility, and once his enemies are finally crushed underfoot and he’s finished setting up a home for the sheep in heaven, he’s coming back to toss anything lacking the mercy of the living God—the God of truth and the Holy Spirit—straight into the fire.

He doesn't care about your resume or your little personal achievements; at the end of the day, He’ll toss those right into the flames and label you a lawless sinner.
Every single word in Scripture is Him. He is the Living Word walking among us.

If you actually live out the Word instead of just nodding along to it, you’ll get that heavenly reward: eternal life.

The Father’s commandment is simple: eternal life.

You can't pull this off on your own, but you can let Jesus step in and work through you via His Spirit.

Alexander Kern58 said:Jesus isn't some victim; He’s a winner who checked off hundreds of prophecies from the Old Testament.

The Roman Empire didn't actually build anything from Him. Constantine just had some random dream about winning under the sign of the cross—who knows if that vision was even divine or just straight-up demonic...

Jesus is the Word made flesh, and He’s the only way to actually know God.
If you realize, like Peter did, that you've got nowhere else to turn because He’s the only one with the words of eternal life. That whole message wraps up with the apostles, mentioning how in the end times people will try to ban marriage and how you have to get out of the sinner's territory involving the 7 hills (Rome, Vatican City).

Jesus completes the Old Testament. If you read both enough times, you’ll see how He’s sometimes strict and sometimes eases things up by revealing Himself as the Path to heaven.

He says you have to believe there is no other, otherwise you're on a dead-end street—a wide road leading straight to Sheol—and anyone who believes and is baptized receives the Holy Spirit.
You’re born again through water and the Spirit.

Then you get the gift of the Spirit, and that Spirit starts pushing back against sin. You don't have to keep walking down the wrong path, tripping up, and barely crawling out alive using that "trial and error" method.

If you haven't truly believed and thought baptism would get you something other than drowning in Jesus' death to bring glory to God, then you're basically wasting your time.

You can't grow the fruits of the Spirit or live a consecrated life without eternal life (and Jesus' Spirit helps you with that; you can't pull it off alone).

Hebrews 6:1-8

Nah. They basically took over 300 details from the Old Testament about the promised Messiah and recycled them to build this fairy tale about Jesus in the New Testament. Now people act like they actually fulfilled those prophecies.🤦

Jesus is the Word made flesh, and He's the only way to truly know Him.

Total fanatic. In your world, only your story is true and everyone else is just working for the devil.

Jesus complements the Old Testament. If you read both enough times, you can see how He actually tightens up the rules sometimes.

Sure. There’s a part where Jesus calls out the priests for softening God's command to kill a child that curses their parents. He didn't even get rid of stoning...

the wide gate that leads to Sheol and that whoever believes and gets baptized receives the Holy Spirit.

So, only your specific group of baptized people avoids going to Hell? Enjoy your delusion.
