Why shouldn't we be able to Ban users we interact with? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Alright, here’s the situation:
http://reddit.com/thread/415879

Interfering with the Reddit staff (ignoring warnings, restoring deleted posts, etc.) — the woman wasn't even warned, and nothing like that is actually defined as a violation.
She wasn't fighting, she wasn't cloning accounts, she didn't leak any private info or DMs.

Also, the moderator guidelines clearly state they have more leeway than your average user. That’s fine, I won't get into that.
Sanctioning an inappropriate question is one thing, but again, IMO you don't hit someone with this many points without a warning first.

But honestly, you guys are screwed.

And before anyone comes at me trying to pin this on some clique, NO—Smizl isn't my friend, isn't even an acquaintance. We barely even talk.
Why shouldn't we be able to Ban users we interact with? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Even Smizla is posting on the Banned Reddit thread saying she had zero heads-up about this—no warning at all. Honestly, neither did I.
I’m gonna go dig through the rules to see if this is actually spelled out anywhere.

If that's how they're playing it, they're seriously out of line. For real.

Whatever, personally I think the punishment is way too harsh—like, seriously over the top.
I’m telling you, this isn't even about some problematic user on the Reddit!

I’ve been wondering about this too.
Why even bring up a question like that regarding a new ban?
Look, I used to be a moderator, and honestly, personally, I probably would’ve just handed out a few warning points for something like this.

Am I going to get banned now because I said that? 😁

EDIT. Just saw the rules—500 points and a month-long ban???
Seriously people, what is wrong with you?

Locking the thread and giving out some warning points would have been plenty.

Smizla has been on this Reddit for years and has never been a problem.

Tried making a healthier spin on one of my favorite sides today—apple quinoa. Swapped out the rice for quinoa, so we're looking at apple quinoa here.

Just sauté some diced onion in butter or olive oil, splash in a little water, then toss in two small apples that I chopped up. Season it however you want—salt and pepper or just throw in some McCormick. Then, toss in half a 0.3 cup of rinsed quinoa plus another half cup of water and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.

Honestly? It’s actually delicious, even if it doesn't look like much at first glance.😁

Found some stuff on CNN that actually looks pretty decent 🙂

Turkey salad

Turkey and avocado salad

Sage turkey roll—not a fan of the potatoes here, though—I’d probably swap those out for some tomatoes instead 🙂

I don't know, you brought it up here on the internet, so it kind of looks like you *are* a little worked up about 🤷
. Anyway, glad you found a solid doctor 👍
.
Personally, I'm one of those people who has had plenty of fun in the bedroom. I get tested every single year, and nothing has ever come back positive. Knock on wood 🙂. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
bluefox49 said:Plus, I hate going to the doctor because I can’t shake the feeling that they think I’ve been out there acting reckless or playing around, and I don’t tell anyone my diagnosis—if people knew how much I didn't know, they'd probably run for the hills😢.

Look, I’m genuinely sorry about what you’re dealing with, but... if you stopped viewing your past as some kind of shameful stain, you might realize the doctor is just treating you like any other patient.
How do I get in shape? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Ethan Garcia8 said:That's what I'm thinking, too. Plus, 90 pounds is basically nothing for a woman—you aren't exactly walking around with a gym rat physique at that weight, believe me. 😁

You can usually tell just by looking at someone whether they actually have some quality mass or if it’s all fluff. You’ve got those guys who are solid—thick, dense, built to handle heavy lifting without breaking. But if you see someone who’s soft, especially if they’ve got thin joints and a more delicate frame, that’s when things get sketchy. It's a recipe for injury.

Ethan Garcia8 said:Look, diet is everything right now. Forget about aerobics or anything high-impact—you’ll absolutely wreck your joints carrying that 200 lbs. Stick to cycling instead. It’s much safer.

Well, depends on their actual fitness level. Weight isn't the only factor—it could be way more than that—but if you've got decent muscle mass, your body handles the load better, making aerobics actually doable. Though, I'm guessing they aren't exactly in peak shape, so yeah, probably smarter to just focus on building some base strength at home first.

Rebecca Rogers64, don't just go out and start sprinting—especially not on concrete if you're stuck in the city. Even those local park paths aren't much better. I don't know what your muscle mass looks like—it’s not just about the weight, right? If your muscles aren't conditioned, they won't support your joints or your spine. Running like that is risky even for someone lean, let alone you.

So, I'm with Mark Sullivan64 on this—hit some light strength training first, maybe for a few months minimum. Don't burn yourself out by joining a big gym and quitting two weeks later; just build a routine you can do at home. Twenty minutes a day—think core work (abs and lower back are a must), squats, and knee push-ups. Seriously, do all of it. Grab an exercise ball too; that'll be great for you. You'll see a difference in a month—better posture, feeling better overall. Also, just use your muscles during the day—take the stairs, squat instead of bending over, tighten your core whenever you move. Honestly, that might be more effective than any set of exercises.

At this stage, if you can, I'd suggest some light hiking and definitely get a bike. It helps bridge the gap from sitting all day to actually being fit. Once that feels easy, then you can ease into running—maybe join a class or hit the gym. Or just keep doing pull-ups on a doorway bar at home... the options are endless 😁

Just don't go zero to sixty. People overdo it and quit. And look, it's not healthy to do nothing for months and then suddenly try to tackle a marathon or an Ironman. 😁 I know people who seriously injured themselves doing exactly that, and they weren't even overweight. So take it slow and smart. No pressure—just do it on the floor at home, blast some music, maybe while you're waiting for the baby's food to cook. That way, working out doesn't feel like a chore, and you'll actually feel good. 👍

Oh, and once you start moving, you'll instinctively realize that eating junk isn't working for you. Everything will start falling into place. There are plenty of other threads about nutrition, so I won't bore you here 🙂

More good stuff involving quinoa:

Turkey, Quinoa, and Veggie Medley

150 g quinoa
500 g turkey breast
100 g onion
100 g carrot
50 g green bell pepper
2 cloves garlic
300 ml water
100 ml tomato puree
salt
pepper
olive oil

Dice up the turkey.
Give the quinoa a good rinse under cold water.
Chop the onion and pepper, then slice the carrot into thin sticks.
Sauté the onion and pepper in olive oil until they soften—then toss in the garlic.
Keep sautéing until the garlic smells right, then throw in the turkey and carrots.
Once the turkey gets some color, dump in the quinoa and give it all a solid stir.
Pour in the tomato puree and water, season with salt and pepper, then let it simmer on low heat until the liquid evaporates—usually takes about 15 minutes.
Serve it with whatever salad you're feeling.

My latest little experiment.

Quinoa 😁 with red lentils.

Rinse the quinoa first—then boil it in twice as much salted water. It’s done once the grains have soaked up all the liquid.

While that's going, boil the red lentils for about 10 minutes, then toss them into some onions sautéing in olive oil. Season it with McCormick, add enough water to cover everything, and let it simmer for another 10. Throw in the cooked quinoa, a dollop of tahini, thyme, and parsley. Let it sit for a minute before digging in.

Finally nailed a successful batch of tahini.

For about 5 oz of sesame seeds, you'll need roughly 2/3 cup of olive oil.
Just toast the seeds in a pan for a minute—don't overdo it—then toss them in a blender and slowly drizzle in the oil.
You end up with this oily paste that’s got the consistency of thick Yogurt.

It's perfect for making hummus. Anyway, that's my two cents. 😬
White bump on my nipple? in Women's Health ·
quietangler89 said:Let’s play this out... Since I’m a total hypochondriac and prone to panicking, my first move is obviously to vent to you guys here before I do anything else...

So, about 5 or 6 months ago, this little white bump showed up on my nipple. Not like one of those tiny surface pimples you get sometimes—this feels deeper, like it's tucked under the skin of the nipple itself. You can see this whitish mass sitting right there inside. Well, I couldn't leave it alone, so about three months back, I tried to squeeze it. This thick, pasty white stuff came out near the spot—not really liquid, more like a solid discharge. Once I squeezed it out, the bump vanished, so I figured I'd fixed it. Everything was fine for two months... until now. It's popped up in the exact same spot again, but this time, nothing is coming out when I try to squeeze it.
Anyone know what this could be?
I haven't had any breast issues before. Never given birth. My last ultrasound showed some fibrocystic changes, but that's probably just genetics since my grandma deals with it too...

Don't sweat it too much. Looks like a clogged sebaceous gland to me—you didn't get all the gunk out the first time, so it just refilled. 🤷
Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Tried out some damn cookie mix the other day—honestly, it’s pretty decent. You don't even need to mess around adding extra stuff, just toss in some milk or water and you're good to go. I've always had a massive sweet tooth, so I don't really mind the sugar hit 🙂

Got this recipe book at work, and I think I'm actually gonna try making it today:
http://www.coolinarika.com/recept/za...ljevenim-mesom

It calls for olive oil, too—not sure what the point of all those breadcrumbs is, honestly. 😕

Anyway, the ladies here swear this thing is the absolute gold standard—supposedly the best way ever to shovel down kale. Apparently, even the guys cleaned their plates. We'll see about that.

Finally perfected my hummus recipe—it’s actually delicious 😁
Since I can never find sesame seeds at the local grocery store, I had to pivot—swapped them out for pumpkin seed oil.

Throw this in a blender and blitz until smooth:
A large cup of cooked chickpeas, two tablespoons of pumpkin seed oil, two tablespoons of olive oil, a splash of the chickpea cooking water, 3-4 cloves of garlic, and some salt.
If the texture is too thick, just keep adding a tablespoon of water at a time until it hits that perfect consistency.

Scoop it into a bowl, drizzle some extra olive oil on top, and let it chill in the fridge.

Another messy 🙂

I just toss together 150g of cottage cheese with maybe 10 halved olives and a handful of crushed walnuts. A little salt, a drizzle of pumpkin seed oil—that's it. It’s a bit different, but honestly? Pretty damn good.
