Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
jadebadger54 said:Hey everyone, especially Michael Diaz4—the expert on all things here who really helped me out a few years back. 🙂

First question for Michael Diaz4—I started using Lidoproct again, but it feels like nothing is changing. Last time, it worked wonders for my external hemorrhoid. How long does it usually take? I’ve been using it for 7 days now and feel zero difference. :S

Also, I’m thinking about getting one of those donut pillows for sitting. Does that actually help with hemorrhoids? And does it help with posture/spine issues too? Thanks, everyone. 🙂

🙂
Lidoproct will help manage the pain, but how long the discomfort lasts depends on more than just the cream—it depends on the overall state of the hemorrhoid and your lifestyle. As for the pillow, it won't really help you. In fact, if you apply Lidoproct or anything else, you'll just end up wiping it all off anyway. Then you have the headache of dealing with laundry, since you'll end up getting stains on your underwear or pants, which means extra washing. 😁 Just stay consistent. Apply it multiple times a day, keep the area clean, and I believe you'll start feeling better—unless it has reached a stage where almost nothing works anymore.

That’s all perfectly normal. Plus, the prostate is enlarged because of that recent surgery. Everything should settle back down to normal very soon...

Garant pork lard definitely doesn't work. I tried it multiple times over 20 years ago... I even gave some Himalayan ointment a shot back then. Nothing. It’s all just a scam. And get ready for this one: I spoke with the top doctor and surgeon specializing in hemorrhoids today, and he told me straight up that Pilex is nothing but a total fraud. A way overpriced fraud at that...

In my case, they haven't come back at all. DG Hal-RaR. It’s been nearly four and a half years now... Everything has been perfect since the procedure.

Walter Sullivan3 said:My issues with hemorrhoids started about four years ago. Back then, I’d maybe get an inflammation once a year, rub on some ointment for a few days, and it would clear up. But because of my job—I work in accounting, so I'm sitting down for eight hours at a stretch—the situation just kept getting worse. It actually started bleeding three months before I finally decided to go in for an exam. The doctor I saw prescribed some Hepatrombin ointment and a nitroglycerin spray to handle the bleeding, then told me to come back later for banding using those little plastic rings. They tighten the hemorrhoid until it essentially starves from lack of blood flow and eventually falls off.
I had seven hemorrhoids banded the first time. The second time? Honestly, I lost track. People, listen to me: the pain is absolutely brutal. Don't ever agree to it if you can help it. Even though it felt great afterward with zero bleeding—which was such a relief—they all came back a year later. So, I went to a private clinic for sclerotherapy on four of them. I paid 622 miles for the rectoscopy and the procedure, but they were back within six months. The doctor insisted they wouldn't return, but he was wrong. At that point, I decided I wasn't doing anything else.
Just for context, I haven't eaten fatty, spicy, acidic, or sugary foods in years. No white bread or pasta either. I eat plenty of vegetables, boiled meat, yogurt, and grains. Still, every month or two, the bleeding starts and then stops. I even had a colonoscopy, and the results showed nothing but hemorrhoids; everything else looked normal.
A while back, I decided to skip follow-ups with the doctors who performed those procedures. A colleague recommended a different specialist, so I went to see him. He basically told me straight up: nobody can help. He said even a traditional surgery wouldn't work because my vascular structure makes me prone to this happening again. He told me to watch my diet and manage my digestion since my intestinal lining is compromised. I didn't mention that I also developed a fissure that bleeds, too—if my stool gets even slightly hard, the bleeding starts immediately.
According to him, I should stick to boiled foods rather than anything grilled, eat lots of yogurt and grains, and when the bleeding kicks in, just use ointment and Detralex tablets.
Best of luck to everyone.

Where did you have that done? You might want to try the IBM method...

James Williams76 said:Hey everyone,

I’m dealing with this for the first time. Honestly, I think I checked every single box for developing hemorrhoids: genetics, spending way too much time on my bike, sitting all day at work, plus a few rough days involving bad food, alcohol, and cigarettes...
It's an external one and basically popped up overnight. No bleeding yet, but it hurts—especially when I have to go.
I've already started using cold compresses and taking lukewarm or cool showers.
Can anyone recommend any specific meds or creams? People mention so many things here—Pilex, Faktu, Hemopropin...

And should I be heading in for a checkup? Just in case it's something like those thrombosed cases where surgery is the only fix.

Thanks.

Well, obviously you should go get checked out... Don't hesitate. We can't exactly hand out diagnoses on a forum. It might be hemorrhoids, but a professional needs to take a look to be sure...😉

I don't think that's quite right... He dealt with way more technical setbacks, specifically with the chassis. That was a constant headache for him all season...☕

jadeseal7 said:Alonso's two titles carry more weight than four of Vettel's. He took those against Schumacher while driving a car that was essentially a bucket of bolts—well, maybe not quite a bucket, just significantly less competitive than the Ferrari.👋

🤣 This is all getting too heavy for me...

graniteharbor502 said:Ricciardo's wins were really just the result of a lucky series of events working in his favor. At the Belgian Grand Prix, Vettel had technical issues with his car all through Friday, forcing him to use Ricciardo's race setup. One shouldn't forget that Vettel was actually faster during qualifying for that race. If Hamilton and Rosberg hadn't collided on the second lap, there’s no way the Australian would have seen that victory.
Then at the Canadian Grand Prix, Vettel was better again in qualifying, but he had the misfortune of running in the top three while his teammate was already ten seconds behind him when the Safety Car came out right as the top five were bunching up, handing the win to Ricciardo. You don't even need to discuss what winning in Canada means. It's basically like Monaco.
And in Canada, Vettel was superior again in both qualifying and the race, until he went in for tires and came out behind Hulkenberg. A car powered by a Mercedes engine is a massive gamble compared to those running Renault engines. So, Vettel loses time, Red Bull calls him back into the pits, and he gets stuck in traffic again, allowing Ricciardo to jump ahead of him thanks to much better strategy. He then spent about twenty laps trailing Perez. However, the Mexican had to reset his software system at a critical moment, which Ricciardo capitalized on perfectly. Ricciardo drove those races brilliantly, but everything just fell into place for him. For Vettel, almost nothing went his way in those races.

Don't tell me they think he dominated...🤣

darkmarlin16 said:It wasn't just those specific races where Vettel got unlucky.

stormybadger8 said:The real question is which one of those three wins was basically handed to him on a silver platter...

Man, just thinking about the Canadian GP makes me want to laugh. I don't think there's a single race in history where someone won in a more hollow way than Ricco. It just doesn't exist.
Sebastian Vettel absolutely dominated him all weekend, and then the FIA, with all their usual nonsense, hands him the win in the most blatant way imaginable. 🤦
Going into the pits in 6th and coming out in 1st after the SC—that's a once-in-a-lifetime scenario right there.

Don't go that far. It's only because he's better at handling cornering than Vettel...🤣

Jack Kelly5 said:I think Kim's issue is tire warm-up. His race pace is right up there with Vettel's, but he just can't find that speed in the opening laps. Qualifying sessions and even Monaco really highlighted that.

He’s slow to get going and struggles to stay consistent... That’s his Achilles' heel...
Monaco GP 2015 in Formula 1 ·
He definitely messed up his driving. He didn't outclass his teammate, and honestly, he’s a bit overrated. How do you lose that much time? It was a clear mistake. Plus, whatever advantage he gained from the traffic situation, he just lost it right back to the traffic again. What were his lap times during those final fast laps before the SC came out? What were the times for Nico Rosberg, Sebastian Vettel, and Daniel Ricciardo? That's where the answer lies regarding exactly when he blew the race.
Monaco GP 2015 in Formula 1 ·
This race really just proved how much marketing can lift an average driver straight to the heavens. He didn't dominate anyone, nor did he snag the fastest lap. Instead of pulling away, he actually lost time. It’s not that this track is cursed for him; it just exposes his driving weaknesses. Nico Rosberg has always been more successful here, and while he isn't exactly a mental powerhouse himself, he's feeling unburdened now. Meanwhile, Hamo is carrying all this weight because he's been artificially elevated by pure PR. As he knows deep down, that kind of hype eventually backfires. Carrying the weight of being the best isn't hard if you actually are the best—something many drivers managed to do in the past. Rosberg took the fastest lap, he won the race, and therefore, he's the best. Sure, he had the superior car, but setting the fastest lap on this circuit is no small feat.

stormybadger8 said:Honestly, I'm so sick of these intense British expert analyses. 🤦
It’s hard to tell who’s talking more nonsense...

This whole thing is completely irrelevant, just like that bickering from those amateurs over at Sky about how Vettel should have pitted when he was less than a second behind Rosberg between laps 27 and 30...
Good grief, it feels like they’ve never actually watched an F1 race in their lives, let alone a race in Monaco. 🤦

1. If Vettel had gone for that theoretical first pit stop—that undercut suggested by the Sky crew between laps 27-30—he might have ended up behind Kimi by the end of the race 🙄 for a very simple reason: he would have come out behind Kimi, Pérez, and Verstappen. There was no way he could have overtaken them all that quickly (if he even could), let alone built enough of a gap to Rosberg. Not to mention the massive headache he'd face at the end with 50-lap-old tires, plus the huge question of how long he'd be waiting for those three to pit...

2. And this talk about Vettel pitting under the SC is also pretty much pure rambling. 🤦
With a pit stop like that, Vettel would have almost certainly finished behind Kimi and Kvyat, and likely behind Ricc too.
Ricc was barely 19.8 seconds behind Vettel, so he might have finished ahead or right behind him, but he definitely would have been behind Kvyat and Kimi, who were 17 or 17.8 seconds back...
I just don't get where these experts get the idea that any sane person would call Vettel into the pits only to drop him behind three drivers who might not even pit at all...🙄

👍 You're right, their commentary during the race is terrible. And that blatant cheering for the Brits...😵 Their "analyses" and the way they grade drivers are just awful. Why give Vettel 8 points? Why Pérez 10, while Gutiérrez gets 8 like Vettel? It makes zero sense. To me, Vettel and Ricciardo were the best, considering how far their cars were lagging behind the Mercedes. Everyone else follows. In my opinion, the biggest disappointments were Alonso and Hamo... Alonso because he achieved nothing, and Hamo is even worse because losing the lead and losing that much time in a car like that just shows he isn't that great of a driver. He didn't even get the fastest lap in a car like that. That means on a tricky track, he doesn't know how to exploit the car's power, which makes Rosberg better. Now, I'm expecting an avalanche of angry people because I'm saying Hamo isn't a top-tier driver, but this kind of track is where legends are made, and he failed to show up... What a waste of time...

stormybadger8 said:I honestly don't think this is accurate at all. Not even close. 😳

Lap time:
Kod:
44 PIT 2:11.321
19 PIT 1:59.733
11 PIT 2:00.310
12 PIT 1:59.948
3 PIT 1:59.200

It’s completely unclear why Lewis Hamilton's lap time is about 11 or 12 seconds slower. 😲 Compared to everyone else who hit the pits—even though his pit stop was basically just as fast as the rest of the field—...

Pit stop time:
Kod:
Lap 44 results:

Lewis Hamilton: 25.495
Felipe Massa: 24.395
Sergio Perez: 25.119
Felipe Nasr: 26.420
Daniel Ricciardo: 24.244

It’s pretty obvious that Lewis Hamilton is the one who messed this up. That lap time coming into the pits was painfully slow. Either he went wide somewhere or he ran straight into the path of a Safety Car.
It’s hard to pin the blame on the crew when he delivered such a drastically slower lap than what was required. Honestly, he had to know he was hemorrhaging massive amounts of time right before that pit stop...

There was clearly enough breathing room there for him to dive in and pull away with a massive advantage.
It’s highly likely that’s exactly why he didn't lash out at the crew. He was incredibly self-aware, knowing full well that he carried a massive chunk of the responsibility himself.

He knows he messed up. And honestly, my take from yesterday still stands—I’m the one to blame here.

graniteharbor502 said:The pit wall was totally incompetent, but let’s be honest—the driver wasn't much better. It’s like he uses his head exclusively as a hat rack.

It wasn't a pit crew error. Lewis Hamilton messed up, plain and simple. Now the PR teams are acting like he’s some flawless saint and the undisputed king of the track, but let's be real—he isn't dominating like that. He just completely blew his own lap time.

graniteharbor502 said:What are you even talking about? What does Novak Djokovic have to do with this? I’m talking about how yesterday's race actually played out. Lewis Hamilton was clearly in a league of his own, especially in that dominant car. Taking first place at the Monaco GP? That's huge. Monaco is one of those places where you could be five seconds faster than everyone else and still struggle to make a pass on track. I honestly don't get why he even considered pitting. His team told him to stay out, and then he ends up complaining about the tires anyway. Seriously, if the crew messes up the strategy on their end, it just turns into a complete disaster.

Not at all. Just look at who had the best lap time. See how much better everyone else was than him. He wasn't even that dominant, and with a track like this, there’s basically zero overtaking anyway. Nothing particularly special about Lewis Hamilton's driving here...

stormybadger8 said:There’s no point listening to some journalist spouting nonsense. You just need to check the data on FIA.com. It should be obvious to anyone that this was Lewis Hamilton's mistake—his mistake, primarily. He's the one most to blame, without question.

Dammit, he didn't lose time in the pits, nor on the pit exit. He lost it during that exact lap right before coming in for service...
And he really should have known better; he didn't have enough of a gap to drop an extra 10-15 seconds during his stop and still come out ahead of the pack.

Regardless of what the live telemetry shows, even if the screen tells him everything is fine, you simply have to know when you're running a lap that's roughly 10-15 seconds slower than your previous one.🤦
In reality, if Nico Rosberg hadn't slowed down quite so drastically before Lewis Hamilton pitted, Lewis wouldn't have come out anywhere near Sebastian Vettel or Nico Rosberg. He would have been stuck about 5-10 seconds behind them.

Something like that...
