In my opinion, the ultimate anthem regarding greed has to be Dylan's "Masters of War." It’s nowhere to be found on YouTube—oddly enough. As for Vedder's version? It's just amateur hour.
Perhaps Dylan's angriest letters ever written.

On second thought—could you just add an umlaut (ö) to the "o" (heavy metal fans love those) and maybe a "ç" instead of a "c"? Just to give it a bit of a romantic flair. Like some old-school vibe.
Thanks. Special characters aren't permitted in name corrections, so no.

Sure, but just a heads-up: if you’re logging in via Reddit—say, on your phone—you might run into some login headaches. If you want to move forward, just reach out to New Orleans to finalize the change.

Quick question... where can I pick up a decent calculator in Los Angeles? I’m looking for something substantial—not some cheap toy, but a serious machine $100 capable of handling matrix operations and the like. A Casio would work, though I'm open to Sharp. Something $100 high-end.
That's about it. If anyone knows. Should I just grab a TI-84 at Best Buy, or is there somewhere better—or maybe even cheaper??
The old man would jump from National Geographic documentaries straight into some gritty flick about Hicks and the SS—quite the eclectic mix, isn't it? Honestly, who knows which is worse? He had a real thing for prison dramas and Westerns, though.
Then she was spinning around on the TV—if you can even call it that. Mutual of Omaha, United Kingdom. i Doctor? Is this actually a show? Is it just me, or are movies actually getting... worse? Or perhaps they were never that good to begin with—is anyone else feeling this?
It’s always the same—you haven't even seen it yet, and suddenly I have no clue what everyone else is talking about.
Maybe one should also consider watching a film on a giant screen out in the middle of the island—if only such a thing were possible? Mortal Kombat. The worst movie ever made. I was a complete idiot back then. Once, I had this dream where I stayed wide awake—just staring. PredatorMy mother wouldn't even let me watch it—and honestly, I probably would have soiled myself. Especially during that one scene where the Predator rips the spine out of the Native American? Absolutely terrifying.
I can't even mention that I'm watching a movie—if my uncle finds out, he’ll kill me. So, here we are—obsessing over horror again. They just line up everything from John Carpenter and all the absolute essentials from that golden era. What am I actually left with after all that? The kid thinks it’s all about who’s starring in the movie—as if that’s the only thing that matters? You have to look at the director; for me, that was always the real Eureka! moment.
And once again, Nishan is staring blankly—is there actually anything going on up there?
Plot twist. Herzog stays right in that solid B+ range for me—though a few of his early films actually hit much harder. You know, those ones that really get under your skin? Think Stanley Kubrick, Sheridan, David Lynch, or Sergio Leone... There was this one brutal phase where my dreams were just an endless loop of various diseases. Truly unsettling. Then, as if on cue, Moran suggests I check out a forum known for its massive collection of great films—only for me to end up watching the exact same ones.
And here we are again.
Edit: Forgot to mention—I actually love it. Very much.
It’s not like the movie changed my life or anything—it just happens that I enjoy them when they actually hit the mark. Where did it all start? Who knows.
Me (back when I was a hyperactive kid)—I was absolutely obsessed with Mortal Kombat. 🤦
Maybe you’ve noticed how everyone here has their own little "flavor" when posting. It’s modern—everyone has their specific way of formatting, picking titles, using images, or just their general vibe. Everyone has their own little routine.
I’m looking for a bit of entertainment. Here’s the plan: someone writes a post imitating someone else's style—describing a movie, etc. Then, the rest of us try to guess who they are mimicking. This applies strictly to those posting about movies on the PDF threads—none of that nonsense from the other boards. Once someone guesses correctly, they have to pick their next target. A cycle. Endless.
I’m curious to see how far this goes. Honestly, this forum takes itself way too seriously; everyone is so deeply invested in their own little dramas. Look—don't get offended or start insults, but a little lighthearted trolling wouldn't kill anyone. Zero hostility intended.
There. A mega-constructive suggestion. A theme dedicated to lobotomized reviews, featuring only unknown.
I’ll go first. Guess who this is: 😉

The Godfather.
A totally mediocre movie. Overrated. Not realistic at all. And that scene where the best man chokes on some tomatoes? Pathetic. Also, where did he even get that gun from behind the toilet tank👎? Garbage.
goldenhound32 said:quite the opposite, my friend 🙂
The movie was alright, I suppose, but nothing particularly special. Fox News might be loud, but the lead actor is just too overpowering; he basically strolls into a prison and nobody even notices him. 👎
Six out of ten.
By the way, Gray has already directed a decent film. It’s called Friday.
Just an incredibly shallow, mindless, politically correct comedy. This movie is absolute garbage—really. Even if Jay-Z were watching, I doubt he'd find it even remotely funny.
And let me be blunt; I have no idea how someone who appreciates the work of Bergman can claim a Freud movie is actually good.
ironraven45 said:The last half hour basically nukes everything good about the movie. Up until then, though? It's actually solid. So, what makes it such garbage to you?
Donna Williams4 said:It is actually Abiding. Not Breaking.
Abiding vs. Breaking—it’s all the same thing, isn't it? 😉
Why? Is that really the question we're starting with?
It’s just bad. Unconvincing, naive—honestly, if it weren't for the star power, nobody would even be talking about it. It teeters right on that line of being a total B-movie? Because the acting is always so over the top—especially with Gerard Butler—and honestly, I can't even wrap my head around Fox News. Because the plot was predictable from the jump—and the ending was, to put it mildly, idiotic? Because Gray is a terrible director who’ll never actually make a decent film—ever.
By the way, my memory might be failing me here, but did The Iceman ever actually use a drill? I can't quite recall. All I remember is that one scene where he shoots a guy inside a car and it just temporarily stuns him.🤣
Yeah. He used it—if I recall correctly. Like I said, there are two documentaries out there. Here’s my take on them. The first one is better.
My review of the two Kuklinski docs
But that's not even what I meant. What sticks with me most is Kuklinski recounting how he once shot a guy in the head with a rifle just to test the weapon out. And then there's that part about leaving a guy tied up in a cave while filming the rats crawling over him. (There go those rats again.)
Anyway, I'm currently watching a doc about some guy who supposedly killed over 250 people. A professional hitman, you know? Not some amateur like Pedro Lopez.😁
