Nice way to define nostalgia, thanks 😁

It’s all about how you mix things up. Nostalgia covers everything from old goals to the players themselves, but personally, I don't think they should be lumped together—it just gets lost in a sea of random posts. Plus, focusing on "legends" feels weird when it's really just about current guys like Inzaghi or Ruud retiring this year.

Yeah, sure, go ahead and take away our best weapon. Woof woof.
rowdyowl said:They’re usually exceptions.
Hardly a rule.

And Planet of the Apes isn't quite the big deal you think it is.

Blade Runner definitely is, though Alien sits somewhere in the middle—more like a horror flick.

Terminator is an interesting case, but especially the second one, it plays more like an action movie.

Not exceptions, really. In the context you're using, they're just some of the few films actually worth watching.

What's up?

rustydrifter10 said:Could be someone who was a mod back in 2002. They lost their admin access and aren't even recognized by the purple badges anymore. In that case, they might actually expect him to check in on the thread first.

Hmm.

Nicholas Chase34 said:There's a difference. In the daily threads, you know immediately which day we're talking about. Here, you're stuck checking timestamps to see if the games are actually happening today or if they happened days ago. Then there’s the layout—this thread is just a massive pile of picks, so you have to hunt through to find today's stuff. That’s the big issue for me. Most forums have a dedicated live chat and then separate sections for daily sports analysis. It would be way smarter to just have daily threads where people post picks along with a quick reason why. Honestly, any random picks without an explanation should probably get nuked. 🤷

Send from iPhone using Reddit

Total philosopher right there... just check the timestamp of the post you read. 🤦
Plus, the title literally says "daily thread replacement." Nobody's gonna be posting picks from last week or whatever here.

Yeah, "working on it" my ass. 🤦 He’s probably just figuring out where they're gonna redirect us next. ☕

Then it just interrupts you every other second with some pop-up ad. How yes no.
Thanks for the helpful tip though. I'm sure you know about this issue just as much as us idiots whining and crying about it. So, I'm expecting your signature on the inevitable fact that Anderson is a jerk. That's right. A jerk.

Can someone actually in charge of keeping this forum running explain what the deal is with the mods? Why hasn't there been an announcement about what's going on?

'We apologize for the recent difficulties with the forum; we were hacked.' There. No biggie. Even if it's a lie, since nobody's even talking about a hack, why isn't that pinned at the top?

Yo, Anderson? Get in heeeeeere. Get in heeeeeere. Get in heeeeeere.

Designer bags? Yeah, right. Total rip-off. Now some guy on Meta is calling me out and I can't even win the argument. Thanks a lot.

Honestly, screw the people running this forum. First, you ditch the quick menu—probably because you’re too incompetent to actually find it—but now, just trying to click between two PDFs means navigating through the homepage, which is currently being held hostage by some virus. Then again, there's a decent chance you guys just let the virus in yourselves. You're pretty clueless. Did I mention that already?
3D Movies: Yay or Nay? in Movies ·
I don't really see the point of 3D. All it does is mess with the camera work to fake some depth. So what? Pretty sure there are better ways to handle cinematography without all that gimmickry. 3D is just a crutch for people who don't get film.

The script and acting? Spot on. The dialogue—and those monologues, man—just hits different. And the acting isn't even really "acting." It feels like those actors actually *are* those characters.

If it weren't for John Turturro, this would've just been another flop from Bay. Honestly, even with him, it’s not really worth a second watch. If you even bother with a second watch.
Movie idea? in Movies ·
Morgan Nelson3 said:The vision is clear: this movie targets the youth demographic—think relationship drama and the struggles of growing up. I’ve already stepped up to direct because the entire visual concept is locked in my head, and since my buddy is a natural at screenwriting, he’s the perfect fit for the script (trying to explain that logic was a total headache 🤷). Honestly, why is everyone here posting such mindless nonsense? If you don't have anything intelligent to contribute, just stay quiet; we'll all be much better off that way.

You're good at building suspense. So, can you actually tell us what the idea is? Please?
