If you don't actually know what a political party stands for before you hit the ballot, you aren't doing your job as a citizen. You’re just being a bad one.
fact.

personally, I wouldn't even count those votes.

I don't get how rounding a number up or down gives anyone four years of legitimacy for anything at all.
fix the system.

It’s hilarious how a legit humanitarian crisis gets reduced to some backwater farmhand’s drama in the middle of nowhere. Even funnier? The whole tavern crowd was just sitting there waiting for the chaos to start. Honestly, who even cares what Zoran Milanović and Vučić are barking about? Are you guys actually serious? Do you really sit there reading and listening to this stuff on purpose?

Sandra Johnson58 said:Look, I’m not making fun of them. I’m totally all for helping people, but specifically those coming from actual war zones, not the ones who just pick up some cash along the way—you know, those flashy guys from Guinea, Albania, Iran, Pakistan, etc. Honestly, back when my family had to go to Germany during the war, they had to show a mountain of paperwork and all kinds of other nonsense; they didn't just barge in whenever they felt like it. You know how the law works, and the law has to be respected—it shouldn't be like a mob just deciding what the rules are. They want this or that, and hey, I'd love to move to Canada too, but people would tell me to get lost if I said that. I get that you want to help, man, but let's be real here. We're talking about five million people potentially showing up asking for asylum. Just think about it—the Germans calculated that processing one person costs about 12,000 euros. Now multiply that by five million... I doubt it's any cheaper in other countries, so you're looking at a number with a ton of zeros.
Not to mention how much it'll cost to integrate everyone who actually gets asylum, and then there's the whole mess of sending back the people who don't. Where do you even send them? Back to the country they came from, only to be sent right back again... it's a loop all the way back to Syria.🤷
Helping is one thing, but being clueless is another. Because of this, Europe is going to start bursting at the seams, because even the US wouldn't be able to handle taking in five million people in such a short amount of time. Though, honestly, if these immigrants showed up at the American or Israeli border acting like this, they'd be heading home in body bags, but that's a whole different story.
Anyway, sorry for calling you a ridiculous clown earlier, I guess I just got carried away.

Iraqis and Eritreans are refugees from war too.
And it's not like we should be judging someone's citizenship by their skin color, right? 😕

Virtue just can't survive in a place where the human spirit isn't actually valued. It all stems from our collective consciousness.

Well, damn... 🙏 🙏 🙏

Bad call. Just being literal here, but it's gonna end badly.
A guy without any integrity usually just misuses his talents. Now imagine an entire society... with zero integrity?

Time to clear out the dead weight already here. Separate the wheat from the chaff.
If it means a better future for us, sure.
If not, who knows.

Sandra Johnson58 said:Man, screw this, this is basically the first proxy war in history.😁 Personally, it just drives me crazy how everyone focuses so much on Syria while nobody gives a damn about Ukraine. Not that I'm trying to be mean, but honestly, compared to the people coming out of Syria or Africa, Ukrainians are on a completely different level of civilization. Call me a racist if you want, I don't care, but I'm just saying.

Jessica Gonzalez said:I guess you could try to find an example in history where young men were fleeing wars en masse and it was considered okay. In the chaos unfolding right now, it seems more like a struggle between ISIS and everyone else. Even back during the conflict in Canada, there were several sides involved, and it was seen as shameful for men to run away. I suppose people die in wars, and nobody wants it to be them, but as Robin Fox2 suggests, if they run, why should anyone help them? I think the videos speak for themselves; at the stations and on boats in Budapest, most of the people are healthy-looking young men. Meanwhile, critics keep bringing up dying children. It feels like comparing apples to oranges to me. Everything is being lumped together, even though those things aren't really related.

So, is this an example of that? I need numbers—how many young men fled? And how many are fighting or already dead? Just give me the raw figures.

Jessica Gonzalez said:When things were actually falling apart back home, people fought. There's a big difference between talking about it hypothetically and facing reality.

Give me an actual number. How many people were actually fighting?

So what, people fleeing war should just hide in some hole in Turkey and hibernate until things blow over? If they don't, then they aren't actually running from a war? I mean, how narrow-minded do you have to be to not realize someone can flee a conflict and still try to build a decent future for their kids at the same time?

Michelle Doyle61 said:Europe exists as it does because religion just doesn't play a role anymore. It’s become irrelevant in almost everything, except maybe as a way to find some comfort or solace. In every other sense, we are completely secular nations. Anyone—especially those following Islam—who can't or won't accept that really shouldn't be here. At its core, Islam is incompatible with our values, like freedom of speech, religious liberty, and LGBTQ+ rights. Muhammad was a military leader and a general who spread his faith through violence. What ISIS does today isn't fundamentally different from that.

It’s just that liberalism has been pushed to such an absurd extreme that you aren't even allowed to point out that, while all religions in Europe are largely irrelevant today, some are clearly better than others. There are faiths that align with the lifestyle and mindset that Europe has built, and then there are those that don't. And Islam isn't one of them.

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of good, kind, and noble people among Muslims. But anyone who thinks, say, Saudi Arabia is a well-ordered society just because it's based on the Prophet's laws—if they believe stoning is an acceptable punishment or similar nonsense—they have no place in Europe.

America is full of people who think eternal hellfire is a fair punishment for anything.

Most of us have probably seen that Humans of New York page. Just look up the photos from back when that guy was hanging out with Syrian refugees.
