I want a permanent ban... in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Daniel Ward87 said:Alright, I've finally set things up—I'm sticking with this handle for the long haul on the forum. 😉

Look, you haven't actually done anything for me, Uncle—all you've done is... He was playing games. Just dancing around the issue instead of being straight with us. I went into my profile settings and updated my login password. ☕

Is it really that hard to wrap your head around what I'm asking? I want a permanent ban on the username "Gregory Anderson5"—I want that handle to go gray. 😉

P.S. — What if I actually am some kind of "Elvis clone"? Does that mean I get permanent...😁

Go right ahead,
I honestly have no idea what everyone is waiting for here...

Matthew Ruiz8 said:Come on, don't go citing him for breaking forum rules. :/

Personally, I think if he wants to be banned himself, then just let it happen. He’s clearly doing this as a protest. We can't all be happy with everything; there are all kinds of people here.
If someone was allowed to change their username once, and we only get one shot at that, then they should just allow this too. It takes five minutes of work, but hey, let them have their way.

That's just my take, though. The moderators don't actually have to listen to him.

This is getting closer to what I actually want...
without me breaking any rules...

bluetrucker64 said:Sometimes a request for a permanent ban looks more like a protest than anything else, and all the admins and mods can see right through it. If someone is asking to be banned forever, they're clearly unhappy with something about the forum, and they're basically just trying to make a point by opting out.

Exactly...

Robert Myers43 said:Any serious forum accepts a permanent ban request. Once you hit that button, there’s no taking it back, and the user gets notified ahead of time so they don't try to change their mind later...

Is Forum.hr even serious? 🤷

rustydrifter10 said:Alright folks, I think we’ve all had our fun messing around with this topic, but let's get serious now.

True, there’s been plenty of joking around, but there were also a few solid arguments in there, which is why I’m calling on you all once more to reconsider my request.

Christian Taylor3 said:Actually, that's not quite right; requesting a permanent ban isn't part of those upcoming shifts (plus, we've seen plenty of cases on Reddit where that just ends up causing more harm than good). Secondly, trying to bait a permanent ban isn't exactly classy behavior, it's just something people don't do. At the end of the day, it comes down to free will. 😁

casualwolf12 said:Personally, I am sitting here hoping that this individual is currently on their third consecutive day of drafting the most nauseating post in history—one so egregious it earns them a lifetime ban from every single forum across the entire internet.🍿

God, you're such a genius, man. Seriously, I'm jealous of your intellect.☕

Christian Taylor3 said:Don't kid yourself, he doesn't actually care about keeping his "account alive" on your forum.

It’s not that I find it hard to click a button, it's just that this whole pathetic display really gets under my skin.
If someone is actually looking to end it all, they should just go jump off a bridge onto some concrete instead of trying to stage some grand finale here on this forum.
And honestly, if anyone ever finds a clone of someone like that, they should probably just put "self-proclaimed pompous idiot" in their signature.

😬

It's funny how, right after the administration made that stance ("No more permanent bans upon request", which is still the rule), you always seem to find some supermoderator snapping their fingers and saying:

I'm really hoping we don't see this happening again, where a supermoderator just decides to override a decision made by the administration.

@ Christian Taylor3, give me a break!

I was really counting on you to actually step up and go to bat for me. ☕
Look, if you’ve got the pull to make it happen, then go ahead—pull some strings and take me off the hook.

Honestly, just let it go; catering to every user who demands a (permanent) ban is ancient history. The whole situation boils down to this, if you care to look into it:

Just a general observation, nothing personal here: if we're actually talking about an addiction, a permanent ban isn't going to stop someone from just opening a new account anyway. You might want to talk to a doctor about that.

as far as I'm concerned—if someone doesn't want to be on the forum anymore, they should just log out.

@Christian Taylor3

Regarding "getting up to speed," I literally just did that—people are talking about some sort of policy changes...

In general (though you probably already know), if I ever need any kind of help, I'll be sure to let you guys know in plenty of time.

rustydrifter10 said:Look, a permanent ban isn't something you can just request on demand; most people on here usually think they're untouchable and assume it won't actually happen to them. I honestly don't get why you're so hellbent on getting banned when you could really just log off instead. 🙂

Alright, look, let’s get into it.
As far as those requests go, I think we've pretty much squared that away—the permanent ones will show up sooner or later, one way or another.
I’m not exactly planning on changing my mind...
What does my personal preference have to do with my recent ban? I'll just say this much—I have zero interest in keeping my account "active" on your forum anyway...

Anyway, thanks for getting back to me on that.
I want a permanent ban... in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Well, the title pretty much says it all...
I reached out to the admins about this, and their response was basically "if you don't want to be here, just don't log in." Look, if I can't officially request to be removed from the forum, then why on earth can't I request a permanent ban? It's not like I can't get banned through other means anyway—I could always just stir the pot until they kick me out myself.
But let's think about what’s actually better for the community: is it better for the forum if I waste more of everyone's time here until I eventually earn a ban, or would it be cleaner if they just hit a button and handled it in one click?

At the end of the day, the end result is the same for the admins and for me—we both end up away from the site—we just happen to be taking two different paths to get to the same destination. So, I'm asking one more time: I'd really appreciate it if the administration would reconsider my request.
Thanks for listening.
Eric Collins5 said:As far as I’m concerned, something like that is never going to happen. In my view, the anti-fascist resistance fighters should be held accountable if they failed to punish the Nationalists collaborators—the very same people who are being successfully rehabilitated into "new" neo-fascists in modern-day America.

To put it bluntly, they didn't do a very thorough job cleaning house after World War II.

Honestly, what can I even say? It’s just pathetic and cowardly...

But hey, karma always catches up ☕ eventually.
Jack Rodriguez7 said:A while back, I had this wonderful three-year-old dog who, for reasons I still can't quite wrap my head around, started acting aggressive toward small children. Even though we all absolutely adored him, I wasn't about to gamble with safety—especially since he’s a breed capable of doing some real damage. It was a heavy decision, truly, but I placed a few ads offering him for rehoming, being completely upfront about the behavioral issues. Only two "gentlemen" reached out, and I turned them down immediately; they clearly didn't know the first thing about dogs, and their intentions felt anything but humane.

I ended up calling an animal rescue group (I won't name names) to ask for help finding him a new home. I figured he might be a perfect fit for a family without young kids or perhaps some retirees who wanted companionship without the chaos. Before the kids showed up, he was perfectly socialized and peaceful; once they entered the picture, he'd start growling and retreating.

Initially, I was met with accusations that I hadn't taken proper care of him and that the behavior was somehow my fault. Fine. They said they'd see what they could do. A few days later, they called back saying they would bring in a canine behavioral specialist to attempt a treatment plan. Naturally, the bill would fall on me, and from the way they phrased it, I realized the cost would be astronomical. I declined, and just like that, the rescue went silent.

Around that same time, I got a call from a young guy who works professionally with dogs—a trainer and judge—who mentioned he wanted to take him in, work with him, and eventually gift him to his parents. That’s exactly how it played out. The dog is still with them today; I drop by occasionally to check in, and everything is wonderful. He even told me he’d handle the training for free because he views it as a personal challenge—sort of a "dog whisperer" type deal—and said if I ever wanted him back, I could, provided I just covered the cost of food while he was staying there. I didn't have the nerve to take him back, though.

Two months later, the rescue group called to check in on the dog. In passing, I asked if they had managed to find anyone else to adopt him. Of course, they hadn't, but they were more interested in knowing where the dog was and what I had done. When I explained the situation, I was met with a total verbal onslaught; apparently, that's not how things are "supposed" to be handled. First, they demanded to know exactly who I had given him to. I gave them the young man's number, even though I probably shouldn't have. They couldn't seem to get a hold of him (for some reason, since he was reachable by me on the first try), and then the harassment started: threats of filing official reports, insults, and incessant calls for several days straight. Not to mention, my phone would ring after midnight, only for someone to hang up the second I answered. I've never experienced anything like it before or since. The madness only stopped once I asked the young man to call them himself.
I really hope this is just an isolated incident and that other organizations don't operate quite this way.

I had a nearly identical experience myself. Honestly, the arrogance of these people is unreal—folks who haven't lifted their asses out of their leather armchairs to actually walk a mile in someone else's shoes...

Just look at cases like this and read the comments from people saying things like "...throw him in a bag and toss him in the ocean..." It's always the same crowd, acting like they're somehow superior because of their supposed "tolerance" and "liberalism"... 👎

Charles Fox10 said:The rest of the guys won't be around for a day or two, so I’m just going to stick to the basics here.

The post got nuked because quoting a banned introductory post is a direct violation—that's a 30-point penalty right there. This guy’s only getting slapped with 5 points, though, even if I think the whole situation is pretty obvious to everyone here.

If I recall correctly when I was calling the game—and hey, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt if I missed something—there weren't any red cards on the pitch yet.

Honestly, regarding what my colleague said—this thread should have just been shut down from the jump. I didn't want to be out here handing him compliments now that he’s gone, but letting him keep replying to the opening post was a mistake. It just opened the door for all that trolling, spamming, and insults... and then you end up having to deal with the inevitable ban anyway.

Well, I'll drink to that—cheers to you guys. 👍

I see absolutely nobody is biting on the post that actually prompted me to start this thread, so honestly—why bother? If you guys aren't going to engage, let's just forget about it and move on.

Forget about it. It's just not gonna happen.

Honestly, we both would’ve been happy about that under different circumstances.
But he needs to actually say why he's handing out the red card—make it an example for everyone else to see.

P.S.
I really thought you were the one who stood up for this kind of stuff.

Well, another post just got nuked from the forum, topic

Look, if you want to censor posts, go ahead and censor them...

But honestly? I’m dying to know which keyboard warrior is actually behind this...

I don't know what to tell you—some people just have an eye for the finer things, I guess. It’s one thing to talk about style, but it’s another thing entirely to actually live it. There's a certain level of polish that some folks just can't seem to grasp, no matter how much they try to mimic it. You see it all the time—people chasing after a look without understanding the substance behind it. It’s like trying to drive a high-end Tesla when you don't even know how to navigate a basic highway; you might look the part for a second, but the moment you hit any real resistance, the whole facade falls apart. Just my two cents. kaže:
Your post on ACAB was nothing but pure spam. It got nuked because it had zero connection to the topic and didn't add a single damn thing to the conversation. Honestly, posts like that—and the ones similar to it—aren't even allowed on this forum to begin with; they just get wiped, and sometimes you even end up getting a strike for it. 🙂

I sent the guy over to that thread on one condition... but fine, if you say so. 😉
Thanks for getting back to me.

Still waiting on a response regarding that second deletion...

Given the new rules, I’m honestly not sure if I’m even allowed to start a thread like this—I just hope I don't end up getting flagged for it.

Since I have no idea which moderator nuked my posts over at the IRS or on some political forum, I’d love an answer from the "unknown" party here. What exactly was it about those posts that made them worth deleting?

Thanks,

Personally, I tend to scan through all the threads listed in my PDF pretty regularly, but honestly—even I miss stuff sometimes. The people actually active in a thread usually have a much better pulse on when someone is being a provocateur or just being a jerk, so I actually really value it when someone takes the time to report a post. 🙂

You can go ahead and assume I’m going to start some massive thread just to whine about it if that's what you think. ☕

Everything here was clearly within context. Seriously, just read that last post from the OP where he's dragging the mod again—it's wild how he completely misses the fact that the guy could have shut him down effortlessly...

God, what am I even doing here? Just give me strength. 😉

Look, if you don't drink at least two whole packs, I’m going to have to start a thread about laziness and breaking the rules—and then I'll be asking the mods to actually step in and hand out some consequences. ☕

Oh, I see—so that’s what passes for a substantial answer in your book.
Well, thanks for enlightening me with yet another "classic line" from your vast collection of wisdom...
It would be great if you could actually post that deleted message here as an example of these "spammy one-liners"—whatever that's supposed to mean (I'm clearly struggling with the terminology here)
