stormybadger8 said:What exactly are you looking for there? The guy in question didn't even apply for the moderator role, so there's nothing for me to do about it right now.
Trust me, if it comes to that, I'll handle it.☕

What am I supposed to be explaining here?🤷 The decision maker makes a call. Two modes are tied for that decision, and even if I personally hate it, by the rules, it’s a legitimate decision because of the majority vote.
Personally, I don't see anything in the rulebook regarding those statements about withdrawals, so I don't see any real reason—let alone any basis—to complain about it.

It's funny how you felt such a massive urge to attack me and trash my work in the Super League, but now that darkmarlin16—the guy you actually suggested for moderator—is in the exact same spot, his decisions are perfectly fine by you, even though they completely ignore the rules...
🙄 And the fact that this whole thing produces zero results? Totally fine with you too, apparently...

Honestly, I don't see a single reason to keep this Super League going at all.
Because the Round 3 matchups literally don't exist. Nobody has a clue who's in Round 3, who's still an active participant, who has how many points, who's been disqualified, who's playing whom next, etc. It's a mess.
If all the results and disqualification rulings aren't posted before the next race, I don't see what else can be done besides closing this thread and killing the Super League for the season.

I really wish someone on this thread would actually give me a straight answer to my question. What happens if it turns out asdfg5 is just a clone of one of the registered candidates? Saying "we'll take action" doesn't tell me anything. Seriously, what kind of action? Are you guys just going to give him a verbal warning so you don't lose your decision maker right in the middle of the season?

What would I even need to explain about that?🤷
Look, once the decision maker makes a call, that’s it. Even if two mods are backing the move and I’m sitting here totally against it, the ruling still stands. According to the rules, it's all about the majority vote, so the decision is officially legit.
Personally, I don't see anything wrong with those statements about withdrawing from races according to the rules, so I really don't see any major reason—let alone a solid basis—to be complaining about it.

Look, this isn't actually an explanation. You're just circling back to the same point: that the decision maker and the mods can basically do whatever they want, regardless of whether there’s any actual logic behind it. Just because the decision maker made a call and the mods gave it the thumbs up doesn't automatically make it legitimate.
So, here’s a totally ridiculous hypothetical for you: Imagine if Terry Carter2 just decided, on his own whim, to hand himself, TBF, and Sepa an extra 20 unearned points in the overall standings. He’d probably justify it by saying, "Hey, I'm the decision maker, so I can do whatever I want." Naturally, someone would lose their mind and call foul. Then the mods step in—Sepa and TBF show up and basically say they have zero problem with him handing out those 20 points, since nowhere in the rulebook does it explicitly forbid the decision maker from gifting unearned points to himself or anyone else (and honestly, it doesn't). In your eyes, that move would be just as legitimate as this whole mess with Bjesomar. But let's be real: it makes zero sense for Terry Carter2 to just conjure up points that weren't actually won. It’s just as illogical as letting a competitor stay in the race after they've already announced they're quitting.

It’s actually pretty funny to watch. You had this massive urge to come at me and trash my work in the Super League, but look at you now—you're stuck in the exact same spot I was. darkmarlin16, that guy you suggested to be the decision maker... Oh sure, everything he does is just absolutely flawless, right? And those decisions of his that fly way past the rulebook? Totally fine by you, I guess...🙄
So, you're basically saying it doesn't matter if there are zero results either, right? Honestly, that works perfectly fine for me too.

Total lie.
darkmarlin16 is all in for the decision maker. Dorian made the suggestion..
I'm just being me. I was rooting for him..

So you basically handed him a race that was already a complete dumpster fire and a total disaster, and now everyone wants to point the finger at him for the chaos? Seriously? 🤷
You can see he’s actually trying to save the thing: he put forward a solid suggestion on how we can actually finish this super league.

Honestly, I don't see a single reason left to keep this whole Super League going at all.
Because the pairings for round 3 basically don't exist; nobody has a clue who is even in round 3, who is still an active participant in the super league, who has how many points, who's been disqualified, who's playing whom in the next round, and so on.
If all the results and disqualification decisions aren't posted before the next race, I don't see what else can be done besides locking this thread and just calling this season's Super League dead.

And anyway... didn't you say "I am irrevocably resigning from my position as deputy decision maker for the super league, there is no way I'm going to disqualify the convincing leader of the super league or even debate it at all."
and
"As far as I'm concerned, the super league is completely over for me this season and I have no intention of running it anymore or doing anything with this thread."

So why start all this up and trigger a debate about darkmarlin16's disqualification when you clearly stated you weren't even going to talk about it? 😁

And why bring up locking things down and shutting the competition if you already made it clear you're done with this topic? 😁
Jessica Gonzalez said:I guess Fernando Alonso didn't really do anything special today; he just drove a bit safely to stay near the front without actually making any real attempt at winning. To me, both Vettel and Hamilton seem like stronger title contenders right now. Seven races is a long time, and if he has just one bad retirement—which seems likely—all those points might just vanish.

Sorry if I'm cutting into your chances of seeing a mistake from Fernando Alonso, but I gotta set the record straight—there are only 6 races left in the season, not 7. 🤣
Grace Barnes said:It’s true that within the current driver lineup, there isn't anyone better than Fernando Alonso,
but he really does have an incredible amount of luck on his side. His only real setback this season was when
Romain Grosjean took him out, though Lewis Hamilton suffered the exact same fate then,
and in all the other races, Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel faced much tougher struggles.
As if it wasn't enough that Hamilton had to retire today, now Pastor Maldonado is out too, which saved him from having to fight for 3rd place.
There's no need to list all the mishaps Vettel and Hamilton have dealt with this season; anyone following the sport knows.
You only need to look back at Valencia when Alonso jumped from 5th to 1st.
Vettel was leading until his car pulled aside, Grosjean's car failed, and then Maldonado
knocked both himself and Hamilton out just a few laps before the end. If that race had finished "normally,"
Vettel would be ahead of Alonso in the standings right now. And let's not even mention
last race, where Vettel lost about 10 crucial points due to a mechanical failure.
Kudos to Fernando, but luck can't follow him forever through the rest of the season,
so the title fight will likely stay wide open until the final race...

Man, you wouldn't believe what happened in Valencia—Alonso actually fought his way from 11th place all the way up to take the win! 🤦
Linda Vaughn said:By the end of this weekend, we will have completed five out of the six tracks that traditionally favor Red Bull Racing, along with this unpredictable variable here in the US. It is going to be an uphill battle; honestly, we are all just sitting here hoping they can manage to improve that absolute wreck of a car at Ferrari even just a little bit.

Oh, forget all that talk about which track suits which team... I remember people saying Singapore was a Red Bull track too, but then Alonso snatched pole and led the whole race until his car gave up—and he wasn't even sweating Vettel's pace. Plus, don't forget Button's result there. And let's be real, McLaren has grabbed four poles in the last four races. When you've got a fast car, every track feels right.
If McLaren keeps running this car with this kind of momentum, Lewis Hamilton is going to cruise right past Vettel in the next three or four races and snatch second place in the standings. That's why I think today was such a massive result for Fernando Alonso; he managed to push his lead against a much more dangerous title rival out to a solid 15 points.

☕
The perfect ending would be if the button just rips his finger off, and then Pastor Maldonado ☕

let's goooooooooooo 🙏
Linda Vaughn said:No true supporter of Fernando Alonso or Ferrari should be pretending to feel any sympathy for Lewis Hamilton right now. Let’s be honest—we are all absolutely thrilled with how this played out, even if we have to admit that Hamilton performed with that same signature brilliance he's displayed over the last few races. He put together a fantastic qualifying lap and maintained an incredible pace throughout the race; clearly, Lewis Hamilton is in peak form, and I suspect Fernando Alonso just had a bit of luck on his side today. That being said, nothing is truly decided yet, especially considering the momentum behind McLaren and Hamilton, contrasted against the sluggishness of that Ferrari car.

Of course we’re hyped 😍

And besides... it’s pretty obvious they knew about that gear issue before the race even started. They just decided to roll the dice instead of swapping the gearbox.
So yeah, they totally brought this on themselves.
We just absolutely love 👋
Here’s another batch of the guys... 😁
Come on baby, drop the chemistry👋
It’s actually pretty great that they’re throwing out the SC so often. Gives the producers plenty of chances to blast those commercials at us ☕
give Senna the penalty 👋
Lewis Hamilton and Pastor Maldonado... what a pair... 🤦

stormybadger8 said:Max, care you going to explain this silence? And maybe explain where all that energy went regarding your big crusade for keeping things consistent under the TM rules...

meanwhile, in the meantime:
there's no offer for Italy News
no response for Singapore News

Which means darkmarlin16 now has five missed offers/responses in a row...

So I'm dying to hear the explanation for this, Edward Howard2...
Why is it suddenly "according to the rules" when someone fails to send an offer/response five races in a row, yet a few months ago, that same situation wasn't considered a violation?

Is this just a blatant example of twisting the rules and explanations whenever it suits someone, or is it just me? 🍿
And if this actually follows the rules—which haven't changed in forever, by the way—then why don't you explain to me why you lied when it came to the whole Patagonia situation and those forecasts?

So, why on earth should I be answering your questions when you're just gonna ignore me and leave me hanging? It's a bit of a one-way street, isn't it? Just a few questions from me.?

I mean, honestly, why should I have to explain myself to you—or anyone else, for that matter? If I actually go out of my way to call someone up just to get an explanation from them, that’s my business. No need to overthink it. (between you and me), I'm not gonna explain myself.?

Probably just his way of letting us know he's gonna jump ship for Massa next ☕

Nah, he definitely undercut him. 👎

That was way too close... 😁
