Well, just to make sure I’ve covered all my bases, I went ahead and dropped a comment in all four threads. If anyone actually decides to step up, then great... if not, oh well. So, what's the plan regarding the science fiction theatre? Are you going to unlock it, or should I just wait until I feel like opening a new thread myself?
A moderator's actual job should be to step in and explain the rules when someone slips up for the first time, rather than just jumping straight to a formal warning. It’s how I handle things on four different subreddits I moderate, and honestly, it works perfectly fine there... http://www.prijevodi-online.org/smf/...c,12454.0.html
And if you need proof that your "standards" aren't some universal truth, but really just depend on which specific moderator happens to be on duty, look at these examples where the OP did the exact same thing I did:

Generally speaking, I think Steven Spielberg deserves more credit than George Lucas... Lucas really only ever did one single science fiction film, and that was THX 1138.
and Star Wars🙂
See, I honestly thought THX 1138 was just some student project by Spielberg, not actually Lucas's work. I guess my memory was just completely off on that one...😕.
Every single series listed under the "Aired" and "Unshown" sections deserves its own dedicated thread, and honestly, nobody has any right to try and block that—not even the moderators. If the community doesn't find a particular show interesting enough to talk about, then it’ll just naturally fade into obscurity on its own...
He really needs to be told, right from the jump, that his actual job is to step in and explain things to a member if they’re making a mistake, rather than just throwing around warnings like that... those formalities should come much later in the process.
I’ve only ever checked out Kubrick's work, specifically 2001: A Space Odyssey. It isn't exactly my absolute favorite flick of all time, but I have to admit, it's a pretty interesting little movie...
I honestly have no clue who anyone thinks Manhild's clone is... I’ve been a registered member here since 2009, so I think my track record speaks for itself. My whole intention in posting these series is simply to spark some actual conversation and get people talking about them, but if nobody wants to engage or dive into a discussion, that's hardly my fault...
Just as you can see, having zero replies on a thread isn't exactly a reliable metric for anything...
To Rome, with Love...
Smiren—that Mexican art rock band...
Ivana Radovniković Marley
Irvine Marley (2012)
Since I actually know how internet etiquette is supposed to work, it’s only right that the opening post includes some basic details about the musician, the film, and everything else involved...
Black Flag WE Bought
We Bought a Zoo (2011)
So, I’m honestly struggling to wrap my head around what exactly the criteria were for my warning and for locking this thread... unless the rule is simply that you personally don't like older series, or maybe because nobody else is chiming in on them? Since I spent three years serving as a moderator myself, I’m genuinely curious about the logic here...
I honestly can't tell if he’s just some lone wolf wandering through here or if you all actually have some interesting way of measuring engagement on this forum...
So, what we're really talking about here is a moderator... Jay & AmberFan.
I just got a PM warning claiming I was posting off-topic content or spamming... Quote: Lemonzoo
Hey Jessica Morris6,
I’ve just been hit with an infraction over on Reddit... honestly, it feels like such a predictable turn of events given how things have been lately...
The reason for this? It’s clearly just off-topic or straight-up spam... -------
-------
This violation carries a 10-point penalty and could lead to a temporary suspension of your access until the term is up. Just keep in mind that more severe infractions stay on your record permanently...
I’m pasting the entire conversation right here, now that I’ve officially opened up a dedicated thread for this series—something that definitely should have had its own space on the forum from the very beginning...
Jay & AmberFan : Quote : Lemonzoo
Jessica Morris6, I’ve gotta ask... what is actually the point of starting a thread about some series from sixty years ago just to dump a bunch of synopses and a cast list into it?
Martok... Quote : Lemonzoo
Because Jessica Morris6 is actually just a clone of Larry Walker24—you know, that agent who also goes by the alias Trek bot...

Every single series deserves its own dedicated thread on this platform, just like how I go around starting them on other subreddits... and honestly, I feel pretty strongly that the opening post should serve as a complete resource, containing all the essential details about the show in one place.
Just so you know, these descriptions are my own original work, though occasionally I might lean on a copied synopsis when needed...
And that’s that... if I really did create all that satanic spam, then I was simply answering his question...
I’m curious, what exactly were the criteria used to lock this thread?
What exactly was the basis for this warning I just received?
Since when does some moderator get to decide which shows we talk about and which ones we don't? I mean, seriously... what exactly gives them that kind of authority over our discussions...
By that logic, we might as well just wipe the slate clean and delete every single movie and series released before 2010... If we're going by that standard, there's really no point in keeping anything else around either. I actually put together a full breakdown over here regarding... Jungle Book Everything seemed to be going just fine until now. Honestly, if someone isn't interested in the classics, they should probably just stay away from the topic altogether... anyway, could you please unlock this thread again?
A few months back, I was watching one of those mind-numbing segments over on CNN, and they ran this whole report claiming that taking hot showers is actually bad for you. They were pushing the idea that cold water is the way to go because it keeps your blood vessels tighter and helps regulate your blood pressure and all that other medical nonsense...
But then, just the other day, I see another segment on the news where doctors are recommending against cold showers because of the heatwaves we've been having.
I mean, honestly, who are we supposed to believe at this point? It’s all just a massive circle of conflicting advice...🤷
To me, it makes much more sense that a cold shower is the healthier option; plus, when I blast myself with cold water, I feel energized for almost the entire day, whereas a hot shower just leaves my skin feeling completely stripped and dried out.

One of my kiddo's absolute favorites. Lots of gore, plenty of girls in bikinis, and just a solid amount of laughs. Simple as that.
Honestly? I think the first movie had one of the best endings ever. I’ve probably rewatched that final scene ten times by now—I die laughing every single time...😁
Can't wait to see this one, though judging by the trailer, it looks like it’s sticking pretty close to the original vibe...
I’m going to go out on a limb here and assume you haven't even hit sixteen yet... Honestly, the only redeeming quality of that first movie was his performance, but even then... Jerry O'ConnellHe’s actually one of my favorite actors, which makes the rest of this absolute garbage even harder to swallow...
silentcanyon58 said:Honestly, this one is such a massive departure from its predecessor! While the original was clearly trying way too hard to be a legitimate horror flick, this sequel doesn't take itself seriously for even a second. It’s filmed on a shoestring budget and leans heavily into that cheeky, tongue-in-cheek sense of humor. To be fair, the special effects are pretty terrible, but honestly, for a movie like this—full of gratuitous nudity and some decent enough gore—that’s almost part of the charm rather than a flaw. You definitely shouldn't watch Jaws looking for deep cinematic meaning... but if you grab a cold beer, it’s an absolute blast!
Here are a few little nuggets of info that might actually convince you to give it a watch... the director is the same guy behind the Feast trilogy, and we get to see Vin Diesel, Paul Scheer, and Christopher Lloyd reprising their roles from the first installment. Plus, the legendary Gary Busey makes a cameo! But the real cherry on top? Of course, it's the king of the beach, the patron saint of cheap booze, bad acting, and singing, David Hasselhoff... playing himself. 🙂
He pulled it off in the first part... Richard Dreyfuss (They kill him off right at the beginning...)
The link isn't working for you. Personally, I still think his debut from 2004 was his absolute peak, and while this latest one is decent enough, it’s definitely his weakest effort yet...
Damir Avdić (born 1964) is a poet, writer, guitarist, and performance artist—or, if you check his official site, a "direct commentator on a society that, following the collapse of the old regime, has fallen into a nostalgic longing for a past where no mistakes were ever made, or perhaps blindly believes that the nineties ushered in an era of true democracy, pluralism, and freedom." His website also notes that Avdić is "direct in every sense, including linguistically, and doesn't hesitate to use slang, profanity, or words that wouldn't typically find a home in a literary dictionary." He has released two novels, a collection of poetry, and three musical albums, the most recent being "Nine Inch Nails."
That movie was absolutely top-tier. Honestly, though, the series feels like a bit of a step down... mostly just because the special effects aren't quite hitting the mark.
