Bravo, refs 🤣
And there you have it, just another routine ☕
placidfalcon4 said:I have been thinking about this quite a bit. Now that we’ve reached the semifinals, a certain reality is setting in. We have achieved significantly better results throughout this tournament than we ever have before, yet when it comes to our offensive play, we seem completely devoid of any real identity. It makes one wonder: how can a team perform so consistently well overall, only to look so lost whenever they attempt to score?🙏 So, if that’s the case, which other national teams are they actually going to be facing?😁

I would certainly sign off on this. ☕

Does handball really need to be played at some kind of atomic level of intensity? I don't think so. It’s quite enough to simply be better than everyone else on the court, and in this case, they clearly are. So, if that's the case, where exactly is the problem? 😁 If we can't even land someone with that kind of substance, then honestly, I'm done. What's the point? 🙏
They really went to town on them, much like how a Bulgarian might handle a fight ☕

I generally try to avoid making sweeping claims like "they’re terrible, we’ll crush them," but after watching them go up against the Mexicans, Iceland, and Norway, I have to say they didn't leave much of an impression on me.
If the referees hadn't robbed them, those crumbling Mexicans might have actually stood a chance; meanwhile, Iceland absolutely ran circles around them, and their win over Norway was nothing more than a fluke.
They faced two heavy hitters—ourselves and Iceland—and they folded under the pressure like a cheap lawn chair.
What we saw today? That felt more like a routine victory than anything else.

I couldn't agree more...

But honestly, it also looked to me like they were completely rattled. It seemed as though they weren't mentally prepared at all, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's just how the Danes operate.😁
Let's get this show on the road! 👋 👋
I find the title of this thread quite fitting 😁

as the victory was nothing short of routine ☕

Everyone plays handball these days, doesn't anyone else think so?🙏

Every single player out there seems to have a weapon in their hand.🙏 🙏 🙏

Wilbek is a hell of a coach; he’s consistently managed to tear us apart during the championships.
To his own great disappointment—an admission he made with a certain degree of somber honesty—he finds himself left without any meaningful material to mount a defense against the US national team.
It was honestly quite amusing to watch those two little kids on the local news, absolutely hammering away at Gojunov's block.
We essentially handed them the game on a silver platter by playing through the wings with that 6-0 setup. Honestly, because of those two specific players, we didn't even need to bother congregating in the middle of the field. Why bother trying to control the center when you've already compromised your own structure like that?
To be perfectly honest, they've fallen significantly behind us now—and frankly, they're trailing even further behind the standards set by places like Iceland.
After all, that was my exact position when I first opened this thread:

I find myself pondering the recent developments regarding the proposed tax hikes, and I must ask: are we truly prepared for the implications this will have on the average American household? It seems to me that the current trajectory being suggested by certain policymakers is not merely a minor adjustment, but rather a significant shift that could fundamentally alter our economic landscape. One cannot help but wonder if the administration has fully accounted for the ripple effects this might have on small businesses across the country. If we increase the burden on these local pillars of our community, what becomes of the innovation and grit that define the American spirit? Is it not more prudent to seek stability before imposing such sweeping changes? Furthermore, I am curious about the perspective held by rapidbison42 on this matter. Does one believe that the long-term benefits to the national treasury justify the immediate strain on the taxpayer? It is a delicate balance, to be sure, and one that requires much more than just cursory analysis. We must approach these decisions with a sense of deliberation and respect for the hard-earned prosperity of our citizens. 👍 😁

That’s exactly why Linek absolutely tore him a new one today. He did it right there on camera, loud and clear, without holding anything back. 😁

The Danes aren't exactly what they used to be, are they? But then again, we’ve become this strange hybrid of veteran stalwarts and fresh faces ourselves. It seems Linek certainly had a more strategic vision for that transition... but I suppose that depends entirely on how one views his leadership. ☕
rapidbison42 said:Here is the statement from Wilbek:

Ulrik Wilbek admitted his squad simply didn't stand a chance: "The Americans were better than any other team we've faced. I have to hand it to them; they played a tactically brilliant game and put immense pressure on our defense. They had an incredible goalkeeper in Alilović, who even shut down our shots from the wing—something very few players can manage. A truly stellar performance. The US has such talented players in the backcourt, whereas we lack that specific type of scoring depth. It was undoubtedly a well-earned victory for the Americans, and my congratulations go to them."

🙏 🙏 🙏

I don't find this assessment of our play to be entirely without merit, 😁 Ex 😁
It could potentially represent an ischemic endpoint🙄
Terry Rodriguez41 said:But honestly, let's be real—we'll probably just lose to the French again, and we'll all be left venting our frustrations once the finals wrap up. 🤣

Well, if that happens, so be it. 😁

We'll simply find ourselves on some French cycling forum, showing off our skills by complaining in perfect French. 👍🤣

Nightlife just isn't the same without Thompson. 😂
Nightlife used to kick off around 1:00 AM here. Now? It’s all wrapped up by 11:00 PM.
Man, when I think back to playing three or four hands on Friday and Saturday, plus a few extra off-the-books ones... those were the days.
Now all that's left is the outcry for Thompson. 😁

Or is it possible you've just gotten a little old, rapidbison42? 😁 I'm sure the younger crowd still has their own spots and their own secret parties... You started complaining about the "good old days" a bit early, don't you think? 🤣

Well, Dalmatians certainly know how to handle rentals when the time comes... If it weren't for them, you wouldn't even be making it past the Učka mountains.🙄

And now they’ve gone and banned Thompson too... honestly, what kind of nightlife are we even left with? 😁

Just finished my psychology degree—now what? in Psychology ·
It stands to reason that psychology functions as its own kind of pre-selection process. Initially, you see those individuals who enter the field solely because they harbor certain preconceived notions—thinking it’s all about providing a shoulder to cry on or sitting behind a therapist's couch. 😁

In actual practice, however, the majority of graduates find themselves working within marketing departments at major corporations, market research firms (specializing in consumer psychology), or Human Resources (focusing on organizational psychology and recruitment). Others move into public sector roles such as schools or daycare centers (child and educational psychology), hospitals (clinical psychology and diagnostics), and a specific segment enters the military (for personnel selection and military psychology). A portion remains dedicated to academia—universities and research institutes—while another group finds lucrative opportunities in the private sector at established American companies.

Ultimately, there are plenty of paths to take. By the end of one's studies, internships often open doors to employment, depending entirely on which niche of psychology resonates most with you. But please, do try to forget those Hollywood movies; in reality, only a tiny fraction of practitioners work in that capacity. It isn't exactly a gold mine, and frankly, it requires a significant amount of additional certification and a very strong stomach. 🙏
