That crooked ref

way to go, Pesic

Nah, but if they had given the Norwegian guy two minutes, they would've gone into overtime with an extra man on the ice. Though, even then, they’d still only have about seven seconds left for that final push...

brightowl1 said:We aren't seeing anything from this national team until our left and right wingers actually have the talent to get the ball out to the perimeter. That's the single biggest thing holding this whole squad back...

No matter how much everyone trashes Kopljar while he’s on the floor, the guy knows exactly how to kick it out to the wing. Plus his defense is elite... you don't even need to sub him out for defensive purposes...
So, what kind of actual garbage calls have the refs been handing out so far?
They didn't even review it... was that Strlekov goal a total robbery or what?
What on earth happened to them after the 15th minute?
They just completely checked out... stopped playing entirely.
Stepancic got beat twice by a guy in a 2-on-1 situation, plus there was that two-minute penalty where they just sat there taking hits. I never thought I’d be the one saying this—but please, Marko (Copland), come back to us...
We haven't had this many shots right on the goal line all tournament until this game
how we consistently screw over +2
So, are we doing two five-minute stretches now?
Walter Hughes53 said:Sure, they played great, but they earned that win under totally different circumstances.

That’s just not true. They had a seven-second window where it was six on six with seven meters left...
so they ended up with the man advantage in overtime

And who's to say they wouldn't have nailed a shot from deep to make it 6-5 in regulation?
Basically, just your classic case of "what if"...

I guess this would be it...

36.04 Under certain circumstances, you can field up to three players who were born on or after January 1, 1996...
You'll make the cut for that list of 40 players, assuming you can actually check all these boxes...
The player's actually been cleared to suit up for the club... no issues there.
Just an interruption covering the two years right before September 14, 2015...
The player is officially on the books and fully registered when the season kicks off, following all the standard rules...
It all comes down to the fine print in Paragraph 36.01 through Paragraph 36.02...
The player doesn't get swapped out on that 40-man roster, unless we're talking about a serious, long-term injury situation...
It usually comes down to one of two things: an injury, some sudden illness, or they’ve gone and signed with another club. If it's an injury or a sickness...
I usually count it as long-term if they're sidelined for at least 30 days from the moment the injury hits... just my way of looking at it.
An illness hit. Now the club has to get all the medical evidence over to FIFA...
The necessary medical evidence in one of FIFA's official languages...
Every club has to turn in a shortlist of 20 eligible players, pulled from their total roster of 40... just more paperwork to deal with.
The deadline is 2:00 PM EST the day before kickoff. And just to be clear, no club can roster more than 20 players...
At the very least, you're looking at 12 spots filled out on that 20-man roster before the whistle even blows...
The shortlist is strictly for players who were actually eligible to suit up for the national team...
The club's been under scrutiny, looking at that entire two-year stretch right before everything hit the fan... No breaks, no interruptions, just two straight years of concern...

Eric Fox7 said:It’s not just the U18 kids in there. You’ve got guys who aren't quite making the cut for the first team right now, but they're way too old for the U19 Champions League... people like Cekici, Musa, or Alen Halilović.

Actually, you've got the facts wrong regarding Cekici:

Players have to be born on or after January 1, 1997. They allow a maximum of three players born between January 1, 1996, and December 31, 1996.

Endre Çekiçi born 23 November 1996

It doesn't say anywhere what the lineup is, and honestly, that's half the problem right there... 😁

I'm sticking with Dinamo U19 myself.

16:00 Dinamo U19 - Arsenal U19 1 4.30 Betfair (0-2)

To add to what the guy above mentioned, from everything I could dig up, Arsenal is actually fielding their U18 squad. That’s just how the rules work in the American U18 league... only the goalkeeper can be from the U19 side.

Their record so far this season isn't bad at all (3-1-1), with a goal difference of 9-7.

As for the home side, if you're feeling lucky, they're the "Match of the Day" pick. The odds are sitting at 5 on Dinamo—though, let's be real, that's closer to 4.3 in actual terms.

ironpanther said:Look... you're comparing the offerings of shady offshore sites to state-sanctioned books that have to follow every single rule in the book.

Why "shady"?
If the US government wasn't so greedy, every site would just pay a service fee. But you can't be arrogant and demand $150 a year for a license—not including those physical branches, I think—and expect everyone to jump through hoops for it...
The American market is just too small for these online books to find it profitable...
It's easier to just bypass the local players entirely, which some have already done (looking at you, Ladbrokes)

Our domestic books need at least 50 brick-and-mortar locations just to qualify for online betting—it used to be 100, by the way—and they have to cough up millions in annual fees, only for maybe two of them to actually turn a profit...

They also have to meet all these technical specs and minimum square footage requirements. But get this—those rules don't apply to the lottery. They can run their whole operation out of a 20-square-foot booth... 👏

ironpanther said:I cracked up seeing what the Canadians (sports lottery), Germans, and French are offering, not to mention anyone else...

Since you want to nitpick, the Canadian selection is a joke. In France, they used to have a total monopoly, but now there's actual competition. And over in Germany, you've got StanleyBet, so their options are basically identical to ours...😁)

This administration is doing everything in its power to shrink the tax revenue from gambling. Absolute geniuses...

ironpanther said:Online betting sites are perfectly free to apply for a license here in the USA and meet all the legal requirements to operate on American soil. If they do that, they have every right to offer their services to players in the States. Nobody is stopping them from doing that...

Of course nobody's stopping them. It’s just that the government asks for such a massive cut that it barely makes sense for them to bother...

And this isn't just about DraftKings, either. FanDuel has a .com domain and several other big books have them too...

The whole reason these sites register in places like Puerto Rico, Malta, or the Isle of Man isn't because those laws somehow protect them. It's because the tax rates there are tiny compared to what we deal with...

I don't really see the point in limiting myself to just one sportsbook
I've got Skrill, but I also use bank transfers and keep accounts open at about twenty different books. I just hunt around for the best exchange rate on a single or an accumulator, move the cash there, and make my deposit
