Why on earth does this phantom Laura (who basically doesn't even exist anymore) bother you enough to go through the whole hassle of reinstalling Windows?
I had a similar account sitting on my PC for like 5 or 6 years—from the day I first installed Windows until the last time I actually used it 😬—and it never once crossed my mind to wipe everything just because of that. I mean, seriously... you aren't clicking on her, you aren't using her (can't anyway), she isn't taking up any space, and she isn't asking you for anything... so why does this little digital artifact get under your skin so much?

Wait, sorry, I know I’m probably not being super helpful here, but could you please just explain why you actually need coordinates for this specific plot?
So, there's a road down below, and on the right side, the boundary hits the edge of the olive grove—right where that brush starts (there's a trail there too, if I remember correctly). On the left, the boundary runs along that path.
On the right side, follow the road up toward that last "tree," where it hits that weird little intersection, then go a few yards to the right of that road. On the left, follow the path up to the one lone tree, go about two feet further left, and then head up alongside the neighbor's olive trees.
And so on... (you should check Google Earth to see if there are any recent satellite shots showing changes on the ground itself)
Honestly, though, if you're just using a phone and some GPS coordinates, you aren't going to get anything better than this 🤷 If you want anything more precise than that, you're gonna need a professional surveyor.
I mean, just give them a standard, basic monitor 🤷 They can take that OptiPlex and do whatever they want with it, but you should just have a monitor set up in the office with an HDMI cable ready for you to plug your laptop into every single day.
What kind of crazy logic is that... lugging a dock back and forth from home to work every single day 😬
You can get this done whenever you feel like it. Even if you’re technically out on medical leave—though they might give you a hard time about it, but honestly, who cares since you aren't actually on leave anyway...
The paperwork side of things is super easy. Just find a new doctor, tell them you want to switch over to their practice, and knock out those few necessary steps whenever you have a moment.
Look, I know this is a pretty heavy topic and I shouldn't be messing around when the mods are watching, but man... I just have to ask... doesn't it feel like we've all been stuck in some kind of endless loop of malware over the last year or so? 😬
Alright, just gonna answer my own question here—mostly because if anyone else runs into this later, they might actually find it useful: all you had to do was head into your Android settings and just block the Chase app from accessing NFC. Everything is working perfectly now, exactly how it should... 🙂
I’ve got my Revolut-like card loaded up in Google Pay, so I’m honestly not sure how to answer your question about where it might fail... so far, it’s worked fine at the pharmacy, at Walmart, and even at one Chase ATM (I mostly just went there to test it out)
I have the Chase app, so I'll give that trick you suggested a shot. For now, I went into my Chase settings on Android and set NFC access to "deny," but now I'm too lazy to actually walk down to the store just to see if it works :lijenost: I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow 😁
I’ve got a bit of a (weird?) situation going on. I’ve been using my bank's mobile wallet for ages—back since they first rolled it out—using my debit card.
But honestly, I'm over it. I want to switch over to Apple Pay instead, so I added a different card to that. Everything seems set up right, the card is linked and Apple Pay is all active... everything looks good on paper. It feels like I've successfully turned off all the settings in my banking app, but whenever I open it, the phone asks if I want to set the bank's wallet as my default for contactless payments. Every single time, I hit "No"—well, I just tap "No," but I'm a polite person, so I imagine myself saying "thanks anyway" while I do it 😬 )
The thing is, every time I try to pay with my phone, it fails. I just get this annoying error message popping up along the lines of "Tap one card" or "Only one card allowed" or something like that 🤷
Is it possible that both my bank app and Apple Pay are trying to trigger at the exact same time, and the terminal just rejects them both? How can I stop the bank app from trying to use my old card now that I'm done with it, without having to just delete the whole app? Is there some way in iOS (just so we're clear, I'm on iOS) to specifically block that app from accessing the NFC chip if nothing else works? 😕
Just grab the "Ivanka" vacation rental, and you'll see the address right there.
Like I was saying, if you just type the street name into Google Maps without adding a house number, it’ll immediately suggest that specific block where Ivanka, the school, and Matthew your are located 😬 Your friend or coworker is tucked in somewhere between them 😬
