Joseph Parker11 said:Honestly, this whole situation is gutting me. It’s infuriating how things are sliding into this fake, polite indifference where nobody even wants to show up or cheer from a young age anymore. I'm posting under Dr. Nik's account just to keep the server running, but let's be real: for a long time now, this hasn't been a club you can actually feel proud to belong to. Every time we skip a game, it feels like a slow bleed. In my opinion, nimblecobra42 is hitting closest to the mark here, while everyone else is just echoing what they already know. As for the professor—I know for a fact there’s a specific group of people who were secretly, or even openly on this forum, rooting for Joe, all in the hopes he’d finally kick this idiot out.

If anyone manages to get him out, it doesn't even matter who pulls the trigger.
Whether it’s Joe or Ivo, the only thing that matters is that he’s gone.

Huge shoutout to the fans who stay most active in the Red Cross blood donor association.👍

Listen up, everyone. We need to step up for one of our own who’s going through it right now. If you can swing it, please drop by the BBB fan club over on Zvonimir tonight or anytime after 6 PM tomorrow. We're collecting donations for Marian Simic—he was left with permanent disabilities during an away game about 25 seasons ago, and let me tell you, he's fighting a much harder battle than most of us will ever face. Cash is great, but if you have some non-perishables like canned goods, oil, flour, rice, or pasta, we'll take those too.
For those of you who find it easier to just send a transfer, his info is: HR 4624070003206203663. OTP Bank, Marian Simic, Main 131, Levantine Quarter.
Huge thanks to anyone willing to help out. It takes a real person to show this kind of heart.

Listen up, everyone. We need to step up and help one of our own who’s going through a rough patch. If you can swing it, please drop by the fan club over on Zvonimirova Street tonight or anytime after 6 PM tomorrow. We're collecting donations for Marijan Šimić—he was left with permanent disabilities during an away game 25 seasons ago, and honestly, he’s facing much harder struggles than most of us ever will. If you can't give cash, non-perishables like canned goods, oil, flour, rice, or pasta are just as helpful.
For those who find it easier to just send a transfer, his account info is: US 4624070003206203663. Chase, Marijan Šimić, Main 131, Levant City.
I really appreciate everyone stepping up and showing some heart.
New fan laws: What do we think? in Fans ·
ruggedcanyon2 said:Can someone tell me how many years it takes for a misdemeanor to expire under the statute of limitations? And does that expiration only apply if a first-instance judgment hasn't been handed down yet, or does it still count after that? Basically, say you get convicted at a lower court, you appeal, and then nothing happens. How long until it's wiped out, or is it impossible because a first-instance ruling already exists?

Since this involves the Sports Fan Act, the cops are the ones who actually know the drill, so I figured I’d better ask here instead. 😁

If we're talking about the Sports Fan Act, the statute of limitations during proceedings lasts 4 years for misdemeanor cases.
But here's the catch: they shoved this loophole into the law where they use "offender records." When the police go to the courts asking for bans—you know, those bans that just strip you of your rights based on whatever the cops claim—they use data that's up to 10 years old. Even though, by standard legal rules, the rehabilitation period should be twice as long as the actual penalty, they don't care if you were actually prosecuted or even legally convicted. They just look at the record.
In plain English, they are effectively violating the Constitution here. People are getting banned for things they already served time for (which violates the principle of double jeopardy) or for things they weren't even convicted of in the first place—cases where they were actually cleared (and the Constitution says everyone is innocent until proven guilty by a final judgment).
The cops pull these ban requests based on these "famous" records, and more often than not, they include made-up info or fake offenses in their requests. Judges don't even bother checking the facts; they just take the word of the officers and hand out the penalties or new bans based on hearsay.
Feel free to copy and paste that above.

Let's talk about politics in the "politics and fans" thread.

Why the hell are you even chiming in if you can't handle reading more than one single post at a time?
Nobody needs to go running to any political party. You need to have some actual balls, take control of the resources you have, and clean up your own damn mess.

Paul Sanchez15 said:It would be a genuine sign of good faith if they finally dealt with Madonna and Kulusic, who just got shut down. It’s not a huge step, and it’s mostly about making choices, but hey, it’s something.

Look, you're right. That's really all there is to it. The promise was kept. The mob has been kicked out of the Democratic Party.👍

Paul Sanchez15 said:Who could have actually messed things up? I don't get it. You mean Microsoft?
By the way, all this talk about the bridge and claiming the Republicans are pulling the strings is just nonsense. If they move forward with the Republican Party, they’ll do it because their agendas align. It’s the exact same deal with the Democrats. Don't fall for the stupidity being peddled by that idiot Petrina.

Who else? Microsoft, obviously. Who else would it be? Don't they hold the majority in the Democratic Party?
Bad Boys in Fans ·
Paul Sanchez15 said:Of course they want in if the Bridge makes their support conditional on that. I don't see what the confusion is here.

What's unclear is why they haven't done anything about the mess over at the Democratic Party yet as a gesture of good faith.
Maybe they were handed some pretty convincing arguments regarding those conditions of theirs? Who knows.🤔

Jesse Campbell said:Look, this link from Index comes out after the elections. That means after the election results are in, they’re making any kind of cooperation conditional on cleaning up the football mafia.

And this isn't just some rumor; it’s coming straight from the Bridge representatives in Congress. ☕

We'll see if they're right. In three days, a lot of this is going to become crystal clear.

Jesse Campbell said:This isn't old news. The Bridge party is going to stick to their guns. Mark my words.

I honestly think Tomo is being ridiculous for even suggesting we go out and protest in front of the Bridge party, who promised both during the campaign and after winning the election that they’d take a hard line against the soccer mafia. And even if they weren't, it's not like they're responsible for the government institutions sitting on their hands or letting criminals walk free for all these years just because they haven't been in power.

I pray to God that stays the case—that this wasn't just some talking point they used to squeeze out a few extra votes
I wouldn't call that a protest; I'd call it putting pressure on them so they don't flip-flop.
If they provide technical support to the Republican Party but actually stay true to those promises, then we should see immediate changes within the Democratic Party. In fact, they should have done that already as a sign of good faith.

Jesse Campbell said:Looks like you haven't been keeping up with the news lately...

http://www.index.com/news/article/i...e/856211.aspx

No matter which side they pick—though they probably won't pick anyone—the football mafia isn't going to have political backing anymore.

And I don't get why you think it would be worse if they sided with the Republican Party, as if the Democratic Party actually did anything. Look at how the Bridge party handles things; they make it a condition for everyone, regardless of party lines.

That news is ancient history.
I could pull up an Index article from exactly a year ago where Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović also claimed the fan laws needed urgent changes because of unconstitutional clauses, saying the whole situation had to be cleared up immediately... blah blah blah... and then later her mom's buddy personally organized a massive birthday bash for her.☕
Mommy = Republican Party

I wasn't even talking about the Democratic Party. I was talking about taking responsibility and getting control over the specific ministries that are actually key to pushing through necessary reforms.
Bad Boys in Fans ·
Paul Sanchez15 said:I honestly can't believe people still have such brainless takes. It doesn't matter who carries out the reforms, whether it's the Republican Party or the Democratic Party.

So what, is the Republican Party just going to go in and purge the Democratic Party or Dinamo?
Are you out of your mind?

Jesse Campbell said:The Bridge was crystal clear when it came to the soccer mafia. Nobody else ever stepped up like they did.

WAS is the operative word here. If they start siding with the Republican Party, then they aren't part of that group anymore.

Right now, the most logical next move is hitting the Bridge headquarters. Those people hold the keys to the future of Dinamo, the sponsors, and basically the entire fan base. If they decide to side with the Republican Party, then we already know how this ends. They’ll sell everyone out just to grab some votes, even though they’ve had us in their pocket the whole damn time.
The alternative is heading straight to St. Mark's Square for the Congressional session on December 3rd.
Anything else is just a load of crap.☕

Look, if the decision is final, then it's final. That's just how it is.
It doesn't matter how many buddies Sanader has in high places; once they decided he wasn't allowed to leave the country, his connections didn't mean a damn thing.
