Mulholland Drive is easily the heavyweight champion in that category—honestly, I don't know when a movie has ever gripped me quite like that one does, and isn't that exactly what noir is supposed to do?
As for Blade Runner, I see it more as an incredible piece of sci-fi rather than a true noir.
There was this one stretch where the movie felt incredibly shallow—honestly, it felt like a half-baked attempt at mimicking Lynch—but then, halfway through, it actually started winning me over. I’ll give you that, the ending was totally predictable
The kitschiness actually worked for me, though—that specific color palette and the way they doubled up on certain scenes... it just landed

Man, this track always puts me in a better mood. Soft Machine was founded by Ayers back in the mid-1960s—classic psychedelic stuff—and he was right in the thick of that whole Canterbury scene. As a solo act, he put out some great records and spent years jamming with everyone from Brian Eno and Syd Barrett to Bridget St John, John Cale, Elton John, Robert Wyatt, Andy Summers, Mike Oldfield, Nico and Ollie Halsall, you name it.
Elemental - romantika I'm not sure how many people actually know them, but they've got this really cool, infectious energy.

I don't even know if this thread makes sense—most of these artists probably aren't even on the radar for most people here anyway.
If I had to name my recent deep dives, I'd go with Snail mail, Julien Baker, and Candy Claws. They're huge within their own genres, obviously, but outside of those circles? Most people haven't heard a peep about them.
