Lana was actually one of my top picks, but I wasn't feeling Ultraviolence 😁
Seriously though—why aren't we allowed to suggest other albums by the same artist? Is there some unwritten rule or something where we can't pitch a different record from the same band? 🤔
Lisa Davis46, count me in—though I honestly can't promise I'll have enough time to actually listen to every single suggestion being thrown out there. 😢
p.s. We’re aiming to get all the suggestions in by midnight tomorrow, right?
I couldn't handle those customer service calls—honestly, those conversations just drain the life out of me. It’s exhausting! But when I’m doing sales? Oh, I can do that all day. I basically turn into a parrot, you know? Just spitting out the script without a second thought while I'm busy tapping away on my phone until the conversation actually starts going somewhere meaningful.
When I take breaks, it's usually just me and one coworker—rarely a whole group. I don't really hang out in the breakrooms at the office much anyway, I just stay out of the way. Whenever I'm stuck doing the administrative grunt work, I just pop my headphones on and completely tune out the world.
Then again, I'm more of an ambivert, so maybe that's why I find it easier to switch gears like that.
I’m totally lacking a topic here—nothing else comes even remotely close to this one—and honestly, I just want to get this conversation moving ASAP 😢
Genre-wise, I feel like I'm most aligned with analogbear40... though looking at my profile, it kind of feels like I'm reading the works of a much younger version of myself 😁
And no, I can't wrap my head around metal right now. Even though I was blasting it back in my early teens—which makes me wonder, looking back, how did I even get into that stuff? It was probably just because I was obsessed with certain guys 🤣
Lisa Davis46 said:Basically, thanks everyone for the kind words and the shoutouts. We really put some work into this... 🙂 🙂 And yeah, thanks for the constructive criticism too—maybe the second round will go a bit smoother.
So, here’s the list of nominees from the last round:
Aksak Maboul - Onze danses pour combattre la migraine (1977) ... Arthur Brown6 Bob Dylan - Desire (1976) ... Amanda Robinson4 Bon Jovi - Bon Jovi (1984) ... Gerald Jackson48 Can - Tago maga (1971) ... Dennis Martin6 Gal Halid - Hajde da se drogiramo (1990) ... Jessica Morris6 Harumi - Harumi (1968) ... cosmiccobra2 Hildegard von Bingen - Hortus Deliciarum (12 tracks) ... Lisa Davis46 Michael Jackson - Thriller (1982) ... Crow89 My Bloody Valentine - Loveless (1991) ... quietbison86 R.E.M. - Hi Infidelity (1980) ... kvekukvaku Tool - Lateralus (2001) ... Jason Mendoza Various - Various - Rijeka-Paris-Texas (1987) ... analogbear40
I was pretty sure cosmiccobra2 had put forward Thriller 😲 Was Tool suggested by Amanda Robinson4 or Jason Mendoza? 😁
That unlimited data plan slows down after about 60GB, so it's honestly not a great substitute for a real home network connection.
It sucks that we're saying goodbye just as things are hitting a hundred, but I guess that’s life—everything good stays (too) short 😢 I really should have been more active here—I mean, I was around from day one, but then I just kind of drifted away way too soon
To whatever comes next, and sending all the best vibes to Lisa Davis46 and Amanda Robinson4 🙂

Hey, I wasn't sure if you were checking your DMs, so I'm hitting you up here—is that Plastic Beach still available? 😁
Also, I'm on the lookout for a Demon Days CD if anyone’s got one at a decent price, similar to the ones listed above.
Charles Ramos4 said:And none of them are even remotely close to Desire 😠
I’m pretty sure we’ve had weeks where we dropped three albums—unless my memory is totally shot, which, let's be honest, happens more often than I'd like to admit 😁
don't give away your hand (just yet) 😁

Mark Cruz15 said:So I finally figured out why Bon Jovi is there—it’s just alphabetical order. Makes sense, doesn't it?
You guys are totally barking up the wrong tree, ladies—honestly! For me, it’s R.E.M. because their track was sitting at number one on the day I was born. I mean, how can I not feel like I owe them one after that? It's like a little cosmic debt I have to settle somehow.
I don't know, I feel like I should probably say that one flows right into the other through my veins—if that makes any sense? Or maybe it doesn't. But honestly, it's just how it feels. 😁
cosmiccobra2 said:🤣 You guys really dragged him out, didn't you? Seriously, you just kept dragging him along—why even bother? 👍
Look, I know for a fact who two of them belong to—it’s definitely Gerald Jackson48 and quietbison86, most likely—but honestly? Beyond that, I haven't got a clue. I'm not 100% certain, but my gut says those two. As for the rest? Total mystery to me. ☕
Two of them are absolute bangers—total locks. The rest? Honestly, just filler. I guess if I actually sit down and listen to the whole thing, I’ll somehow end up smarter or whatever, right? 😛
Jason Mendoza said:the emotional connection is what really matters—there are certain albums I just love so much that it actually hurts a little when they don't make the cut.
And honestly? Maybe what matters to me isn't even revolutionary or some stroke of genius.
From what I gathered, the whole idea was to pick our favorites from the big-name artists, though I totally get why tastes vary so much.
That’s exactly why we end up with such a wild mix of different albums every single week.
Look, we could actually shake things up for the hundredth time—but let's make it a one-time thing, okay? Since the hundredth anniversary is basically just everyone dumping their favorite legendary bands or icons on us, this could easily turn into the most epic week ever. If everyone is down to dedicate next week to that kind of heavy hitter stuff, I say let's go for it.
Now that's a killer idea 👍
Honestly, to honor that, I think I'm gonna pull out an album that was already suggested before but didn't quite make the cut—and trust me, it's massive: 👍
So, I just finished listening to Creation Stories and man, I’ve gotta be honest—it kills me to say this, but I really regret that Psychocandy didn't make the cut. But let's be real, the competition was absolutely brutal this time around.
If you're looking for a killer satire, here's a movie recommendation: 😁

Honestly, it’s been one of those rough weeks—just a string of albums that totally missed the mark for me, unfortunately.
@puky, throw a vote in for my Metronomy too! I completely forgot to vote for my own, and while it won't change the outcome, at least it can grab a three.😁
