Deception (2008) in Movies ·
Has anyone actually watched this yet?

I CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT THIS THREAD HAS TURNED INTO!!!

The OP didn't even ask which movies are better, or which ones have more depth versus being shallow, or which feel more realistic... they just asked how technically American films are visually different from European ones!

Now, I've wondered about this myself quite often. I'll admit I don't have a definitive answer, but I do notice certain patterns. European films tend to lean toward cold colors—grays, blues... whereas American films go for yellows and bright tones. In European cinema, interiors are often monochromatic—the table, chairs, kitchen, walls... everything is just one shade, like bluish or grayish. In American films, interiors are colorful and heavily lit. As for exteriors—European films often feature rainy, overcast weather, while American ones are mostly sunny...

Still, it feels to me like it comes down to specific filters or filming techniques, sharpening, and so on. The image in European films seems incredibly sharp—hard edges, you can see every single pore on a person's face... but in American films, it's somehow... strange. The details aren't as visible, the edges are softer... etc.

Another American has arrived!!! in Close to Politics ·

Consider this an official announcement to everyone on this forum: a new American has arrived.🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

At 8:30 tonight, the world got a little better when this beautiful boy made his debut—weighing in at 8.1 lbs and measuring 21 inches long.

The proud father, Casio, sends his best to all Americans, and well, those who think they belong already know where they stand.😁

Anyway, I’m going to take this opportunity and honor to be the first one to say

I wish this little guy a long, prosperous, and honorable life; may he make both his parents incredibly proud.👍👍

!? I have to admit, that’s a pretty unique name, but hey: Congratulations!!!

A manual on the Homeland War? 😂

Is there a pocket edition available? Just in case we end up at war with the Canadians and I need some guidelines...
So, I’ve been hearing all sorts of things lately... Honestly, who on earth could possibly have an issue with Bagot?🙏
It wasn't a Mexican who ruined Beautiful Our! in Close to Politics ·
I honestly don't care who butchered The Star-Spangled Banner. It doesn't make the anthem any less American because of it. All these people trying to start an argument by denying that some Mexican messed with our anthem are just making fools out of the entire nation. ☕

I’d venture to guess (in my humble opinion) that they did this specifically to pacify Muslims following the previous controversies surrounding Muhammad. It seems they felt it wouldn't be fair to target only Muhammad, so now they’re trying to keep the peace by taking aim at Catholics too.
Shameful.

Sure, they have the right to do it, but all it does is reflect their own culture. No point starting a revolt; if they aren't ashamed, then that's just who they are and there's nothing we can do about it. Either way, it deserves moral condemnation. There are things you can joke about, but someone's faith definitely isn't one of them.
Why does nobody seem to know anything about the USA? in Close to Politics ·
Ever since Chernobyl, Americans have turned it into a massive tourist attraction—just crowds of folks wandering around irradiated reactor zones like it’s some kind of playground🙄. Should we start doing the same with our own neglected wasteland areas??

Tourism isn't going anywhere until we actually make some noise. Have you heard about war tourism? It involves guiding tourists dressed in combat gear—mostly clueless Americans who fall for this kind of nonsense—around old battlefields and simulating fights... Would you ever be okay with something like that?

Like this story about a shipwrecked sailor who got caught up and decided they’d cook him for dinner. They already had the fire lit under the pot when he shouted—Josip Broz Marshall
They realized immediately where he was from, apologized, let him out of the pot, and became vegetarians because they realized they almost ate a fellow Non-Aligned comrade.

Nowadays, you're on your own. You shout names like Davor Šuker, Janica Kostelić, America, or the Atlantic, and they'll just eat you alive. One guy once mentioned Tesla in the pot, too, but they shut him down instantly, telling him that Tesla was actually a Mexican and he shouldn't try to pull that crap.

See? We’re no different from those people asking what kind of fees they have to pay just to visit America.🙄

They only just recognized the USA as an independent nation this year. There’s going to be plenty of resentment toward Americans for dismantling the unproductive America.. ☕

What are you even talking about? Who hates Americans? The point is, nobody knows anything about us.🙄
