Look, you provocateur, how could he not have been 😁
It was actually decent, though they were being a bit too suffocating—and when I say "they," I mean the entire "programming committee" over at SC Agency (Stipe Musura, Pista, Sale Dragas, Ilko Culic, Maric - Multikultura, and Vedran Meniga). That said, the doors were open to anyone with a 👍
As far as the program goes, it honestly sounds incredibly ambitious and solid...

It’s going to be one hell of a Wednesday 😁

Come on, Muslims, read this 😉
Dec 6: Deep Purple
Yeah, Deep Purple is playing at the Fairgrounds on Dec 6, and The Cardigans have the Small Arena open.

As far as I know, it's a done deal. They're playing in Athens at the Taxi Service on 12.12., and they'll likely hit New York City in between. The webmasters just haven't caught up yet. 😁
Well, there goes the first brilliant move of the season. The same agency is booking two massive international acts for the exact same night, even though they already announced another global superstar for that date. But hey, whatever. Chicago is a big enough city, and apparently, people have money to burn... 🙄
I think they're playing at Spider. I'm not sure about the dates, but I think Sophia Gonzalez6 might know, so just wait for her to chime in. 😁
Who do you think you are, pal? 😁

Anyway, just got an email from Creative Artists Agency. Here’s the lineup they announced:
Sound System, Dub Syndicate, Saxon, Tav, Falco and his Panther Burns, The Cardigans, Sergent Garcia

Thanks, I fixed it 👍

Great show, terrible marketing. We probably would have had way more than 250 people if they hadn't skipped the posters entirely.
Phenomenal sound quality.
The crowd went absolutely wild during "man fra Reno"—that cover of Dugmetov's "ipak pozeljeti neki pismo." Honestly, someone needs to do a cover of 😁 😁 😁
It seems to me that The Factory could end up being the biggest loser in all of this, which honestly isn't a bad outcome if you think about it. 😁 😁 😁
Excuse me, the New York Post says it’s hitting 90 degrees today.

One of the preview articles covering the whole story
I’m not sure if anyone else has caught this, but the Student Union has undergone a massive shift—both in terms of their programming and their political vibe.
Here’s the deal: a new Creative Agency was recently formed, staffed by a mix of organizers, journalists, and rock critics. Their goal is to pull off much larger shows, mostly hosted at the Student Union venue. Coachella served as the big teaser for this whole movement. Since the new season kicked off, you can clearly see a massive leap in production quality (those old, DIY flyers have been swapped out for polished, professional promos), but unfortunately, ticket prices have skyrocketed right along with them.

Look, I get it. If you're booking heavy hitters like Saxon or probably The Cardigans, high ticket prices make sense. But charging that much for Greetings Azra 55/$23 or for today's Eminem and TBF 70/$30 🙄
... is just ridiculous.
In my book, seeing more high-quality gigs is a win. Honestly, the Student Union venue is incredible—maybe the best spot in New York City.

The downside, though, is that this feels like an unfair fight against other promoters. When the people running the show are the same journalists and critics who cover the scene, you know what happens: they’ll write glowing previews and never a bad review for their own events. Plus, with the Creative Agency backed by the government, they don't really have to sweat the turnout the way independent promoters do. There are plenty of other shady aspects to this unfair competition, but that’s a conversation for another time.

What’s your take on all this?

I was hanging out at the Youth Center this past Saturday too...
I’m backing up what cosmictrucker132 said... I’ve never been much of a Massimo fan, but after seeing this, I have to give credit where it's due.

Yeah, exactly 👍
Doduse, Max reworked her set a bit—he showed up with that tiny guitar from the witch—but it was actually 👍

For me, Max was the standout. He only tackled one track—"if one were to be anything"—just him and his guitar, no backing band. That’s how it sounded in the original when he first sang it. Pure gold.
I actually dug those few tracks where Leiner took the lead, like "spend the weekend together" and "dog."
As for Massimo, he always seems to nail covers better than his own material.😁

Weekends are meant for big events, not for Sane 😁 😁 😁

I’m seeing forum emojis scattered all over this article about the drummer 😁 😁 😁

By the way, they’re playing at Madison Square Garden on October 21st. 😉

Even the drummer is totally clueless here 😁 😁 😁 😁

By the way, the last bit of hype was when they released the "Blaze" album in Mexico—which was really just a demo recorded during rehearsal. It came out around 1997. Has anyone actually listened to it? Word is, it’s a pretty solid record.
