Another institution of the USA was founded... in Close to Politics ·
shadowfox18 said:Of course. I’m talking about them, the Democratic Party coalition, and pretty much everyone else. It’s all the same crowd—they'd sell their own souls just to stay in power.

And I assume they're all closet communists too, right?😂

shadowfox18 said:Exactly! Forget all the killing, the violence, and the looting, what really matters is that they didn't have Fima Media back in the old days. And yet, I still find myself wondering why our country is such a mess.

Look, I was talking about the former United States, not some endless war that ended ages ago. Everyone I know was involved, and everyone lost people just like you did. It is time to move on. What are we doing, acting like we're stuck in the old days debating the war until our names day? We need to start actually solving real problems.

Are you talking about the Republican Party coalition?

It’s not that Americans are rooting for the old America; it’s just that we aren't for this.😍

Give me a break. How much worse can things actually get from here? Sure, things could always improve, but looking at how unsustainable the US is right now, I’m not holding my breath for some grand reunification into a new USA. Not that I’d be against it, mind you—honestly, Washington, D.C. never did us dirty quite as much as our own people have.👎
Elizabeth Jackson64 said:she had a gastroscopy and tested positive for Helicobacter, though I think she cleared it quite a while ago.

Thanks so much for the tip. I'll definitely mention the duodenal biopsy and that H. pylori bacterium to her.

Does anyone else here deal with long-term issues after having their gallbladder removed? Any advice at this point is welcome.

H. pylori is indeed Helicobacter pylori. If she successfully treated it, then that isn't the culprit anymore. Even though her gallbladder is gone, she could still be dealing with liver issues—the liver takes on a heavier load once the gallbladder is out of the picture. Honestly, I'm not sure what to tell you; I struggle with gastritis and biliary sludge myself, so my digestive system is a constant battleground. Right now, I've been using coconut oil. Maybe give that a shot? You can usually find good quality stuff at a local health food store or a Whole Foods. When the standard meds stop cutting it, people usually turn to natural remedies—it’s the classic move. Fingers crossed for you.
What exactly is "homophobia"? in Psychology ·
Brandon Rivera2 said:Nah, I’m just wondering what actually defines homophobia and who counts as homophobic versus who doesn't... Like, why did people start linking it to psychology? Is it actually considered some kind of disorder or what...

Honestly, if you aren't keeping up with current events, you'd know that being gay has become the new trend. Nowadays, anyone with even a minor grievance against homosexuality is immediately branded a homophobe. If you don't explicitly cheer them on, you're guilty by association. This whole debate is getting incredibly stale; frankly, everyone is tired of hearing about it.☕
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
I’ve started dealing with some nagging issues lately—bloating, a dull ache right under my right ribcage, and just a general sense of heaviness in my abdomen. Since my mother dealt with gallstones, I’m a bit concerned. Does anyone know where I can get an abdominal ultrasound done and what the typical cost looks like? I’d really rather skip the endless runaround of public hospitals if I can help it... thanks in advance!🙂

How do I stop torrents? in Software ·
I’ve been following this thread closely, and honestly, I think we’re missing the forest for the trees here. We keep obsessing over the minor technicalities when the actual core issue is staring us right in the face. It’s like watching a high-stakes game at Madison Square Garden and arguing about the brand of Gatorade being served in the dugout instead of focusing on the defensive rotation. One side keeps pushing a narrative that just doesn't hold water under scrutiny, while the other is too busy playing devil's advocate to see the obvious flaws in their own logic. Let's try to step back and look at the big picture before we run ourselves ragged over nothing. kaže:
Have you ever downloaded a torrent? If you have, then I find it incredibly hypocritical to start lecturing everyone else about paying for your content. Honestly, cut the crap.☕

If you’ve never dipped your toes into the world of torrenting, consider this your sign to start.😉

And let’s be honest—even if you didn’t personally use Google, we all know they’re just as much to blame in this whole mess, right? We aren't blind to how much power they wield or exactly how many billions they rake in every single year. It’s pretty obvious.🤷

Jeremy Flores10 said:I really don't get people who respond to posts like this by saying "just go play sports," or "don't be selfish," or "life is beautiful"...
I fell into a deep depression purely because of mistakes I made myself. I can't see any possible way out of this mess. The worst part is the thought that my actions might hurt the people closest to me. Honestly, I'd rather just end this miserable life than let my screw-ups affect them, but that isn't an answer because it would only cause them even more pain. For some reason they still love me, even though I've done something terrible.
Right now, I'm not financially independent, so I can't even leave to give them a break—to stop them from having to look at my stupid face every day and spend their already tight budget on me, even just for basic groceries.
I'm pathetic (in my music, first of all), weak, and foolish...
Life isn't always black and white, and believe me, sports definitely won't pull me out of this hole.

Hey... I actually see things differently. If I were to cause them this pain and they could somehow be relieved of my struggles—if they could finally be free of my mess by me being gone—then I view it that way. Believe me, I think the few people who actually care about me would breathe a sigh of relief once I was no longer around. And I mean everyone, including my own mother; I've pushed everyone away, and I know that. I actually respect those who take such an action. They aren't cowards; they are incredibly brave. As for me, I simply have nothing left. The only thing keeping me here is the sheer terror of death—the fear of the pain, or the fear that I'll try to do it and fail miserably.

What a ridiculous idea. The Latin alphabet is perfectly fine as it is... what's even the point of all this?

Jessica Parker32 said:All I’ve got going on right now is hypothyroidism, and my TSH levels haven't even hit the normal range yet. I’ve started up on a higher dose of hormones. My husband’s aunt mentioned I should probably get an X-ray for my sinuses.

Aha, well, it might be stemming from that then... Honestly, I'm just glad everything else is okay. Hopefully, those hormone levels will level out soon. As for the sinuses, if that were the culprit, you'd likely have a runny nose and a constant headache to go along with it. I wouldn't put much stock in the sinus theory.

Jessica Parker32 said:I’ve been dealing with this constant sensation of swaying and sinking toward the left. The swelling had actually started to subside, but then I caught a bug, and now the swelling is back in full force. It fluctuates constantly—some days it's manageable, other days it's intense.

Has it occurred to you to call your doctor about that swelling immediately? Seriously... this isn't something to play around with.

Is this something you deal with constantly... or just every now and then?

Allergies... is this something you deal with constantly, or does it only flare up after you eat certain things?

rapidrider3 said:No, it’s just sitting there. It isn't growing, and it isn't moving. Honestly, it feels like I've swallowed a piece of greasy bacon and it's lodged right in my throat.

Well, that sounds like it could be a swollen lymph node, but you really ought to get a doctor to take a look at it just to be safe.🙂

rapidrider3 said:I’ve got something similar going on. There’s this little lump, sort of like a marble, right under my jawline on the neck. It’s pretty noticeable. It doesn't actually hurt unless I press on it quite hard, and honestly, it's been there for years. I went in for an ultrasound of my thyroid, and while they were at it, I had the doctor take a look at this spot too.

They sent me in for some acupuncture. It’s not exactly a walk in the park, but it isn't a disaster either—it feels a bit like someone taking a needle to a knot and slowly drawing out the tension.
It’s heading off to cytology for further testing. The report is written in Latin—as if that makes it more intimidating—but from what I can tell, it looks like some kind of benign tumor.

My ENT specialist told me to go ahead and get scheduled, but my sister and I hit a total standstill over some paperwork. Apparently, she won't pull the trigger on booking the appointment until a specialist reviews the files to give the final green light for surgery. So, that’s where we are. Everything is just stuck in limbo.

It’s only sensible to run those searches first to make sure you aren't inadvertently spreading something that could spiral out of control. Once you have the facts, then you can decide on your next move.

Best of luck.🙂

Is that swelling getting worse whenever you chew? If it is, we might be looking at an issue with your salivary glands.

What am I even looking at?

Nothing bad, really. It’s not like you can just opt out of medicine altogether. Even if your kidneys aren't performing at peak capacity—which, let's face it, is likely the case here—you'll just end up needing meds to replace those hormones. Just get that sorted out as soon as possible.👍
