It’s pretty crucial to keep track of someone's gender during an argument—you know, if you actually intend on getting under their skin. Because, let's be real... if you go after a woman, it could easily be twisted into a claim of sexual harassment.

I’m honestly just stuck on one specific detail here. Why on earth did certain people get slapped with a 29-point penalty just to dodge a ban? Isn't that basically the definition of inconsistent criteria and blatant bias?

Think of the forum as a place where you walk in, take a seat in the audience, step up to the podium to start a thread, and then jump into the fray. Now, some people will stand up and voice their opinion and move on, while others will argue with you until sunrise. You can stay in your seat and keep preaching regardless of the passersby, or you can engage, or you can just ignore them and keep going...
But there is absolutely nothing okay about grabbing someone by the sleeve and stubbornly demanding an answer. That’s just spamming, trolling, and all that nonsense...
It's basically just a virtual H. Park.. 😁
No, trolling is actually when someone ignores a logical dismantling of their fantasies and just keeps hammering away at the same point without ever offering a single counter-argument. It’s not an issue if someone drops their opinion in a single post—that much should be obvious.
Nathan Bailey65 said:Let’s be real: nobody owes anyone an explanation on this forum. This is a place to drop your thoughts and move on. Whether someone chooses to engage with your post or just ignore it is entirely up to them... it's secondary to the point.
If someone wants to dive deep, great. If they don't, that's their business too.
So, what, this forum isn't actually meant for discussion, just for people to monologue at each other? You’ve got it completely wrong—comments are for news portals; forums are for actual debate. If you don't have the stomach for a real back-and-forth, maybe stick to the live chat threads or those mindless comment sections on CNN. Honestly, we should probably start penalizing people for dodging a well-argued post. ☕

Can I be an admin?☕
Prika, it’s pretty obvious you’ve got the drive and the right mindset for an admin role. I’ve passed your request along for review.
Look, first things first—you’ve got to actually set up your filters in AdBlock properly if you want those ads gone. Personally, I’m running EasyList plus some extra filters, and I don't see a single advertisement when I'm browsing Reddit. Go ahead and head over to Tools - Addons - Extensions - Options within your AdBlock settings, then navigate to Filters - Add filter Subscription... once you're there, just make sure you check the boxes for EasyList and any other relevant lists, then hit Subscribe. Once you've actually sorted that out, then we can move on to the next step.

How do I get rid of the gap? And what exactly is Element Hiding Helper? 😬
Also, Vajluša is totally right—man, what a mess! I've been spending days installing all sorts of random little programs and plug-ins, and I'm still stuck with banners at the top and these gaping holes on the screen whenever I load the Reddit homepage...
Just install RIP. Right-click the empty space and just wipe it away. ☕
If you're already using an adblock, just set your filters to EasyList + EasyList.

But look, if you listen to what the mods are saying, they didn't even write this rule themselves. You only have to see how much AT&T is bombarding us with ads on this forum to get it—though, according to some other folks here, I personally run AdBlock Plus. I wouldn't rule out the possibility that this insane rule was cooked up just because of all that.
Under this rule, he can basically tear into the manufacturer of his router all he wants, but the second he mentions the ISP? He’s out. They’re just way too sensitive about their brand image... 🙂

Who exactly did he insult—the corporation? Seriously, let's grow up and stop making up these ridiculous rules. There is a massive difference between punishing someone for using "unacceptable language" and punishing them just because they criticized a company. Oh, excuse me, he insulted a massive corporation... better ban him from the site immediately then. 🙄
