Carl Mendoza4 said:The big, underlying question here is actually what happens once the foreign investors move on?

It isn't just about what the immediate impact will be, but what this ultimately means for the club's long-term survival. Right now, we can only speculate since none of these sugar daddies have actually walked away from their teams yet. But if you look at Liverpool FC, it’s clear that having an outside investor doesn't mean "free money." In fact, the Reds are currently stuck in a pretty messy spot because of constant bickering among the owners.
Chasing instant success is a massive gamble. Honestly, only the absolute wealthiest owners—and even then, only those with endless patience—can afford to fail right out of the gate.
Otherwise, a massive decline is almost certain, and we could even be looking at total financial collapse.

Personally, I’ve always been against building "instant" squads, regardless of where the owner comes from.

That’s actually one of my biggest gripes too. You have this entire collective that spends years—decades, really—slowly building something up, and then suddenly some new individual or massive corporation swoops in at the top with a completely different vision. The thought of losing that core club identity... it’s honestly terrifying.

Noah Ross7 said:I guess the English Premier League is just hands down the strongest league in the world right now. They have so much foreign investment flowing in, so maybe other clubs from different leagues see those overseas investors as their only real shot at actually competing with the big English sides...

It’s not really about the clubs themselves seeking out foreign owners; it’s more that they’ve realized football is just an incredibly lucrative playground for investment. And honestly, it makes total sense when you look at how much money is being thrown around these days.

The main thing is that we all reached an agreement.😬

Based on how things have gone so far, I’m guessing we won't see any actual proposals coming from them...🙏

I’ve been following this whole circus surrounding the sale of AS Roma for about a month now, and I can't help but wonder if this is even the right way to go about it. Honestly, I just can't bring myself to believe that their actual motivation is the club's well-being. To me, it looks more like a pure business play designed to squeeze out some profit—or, looking at the Chelsea FC situation, just a massive ego trip for some billionaire tycoon.

For years, the Premier League has been riding this wave of foreign investment, and at the same time, we've seen English clubs absolutely dominate the European stage. But will this kind of thing actually benefit Italy? Or will these historic clubs—even the ones that haven't quite hit that "top tier" status yet—end up losing their soul in the process?

What really eats at me, though, is that we haven't actually seen the finished product of this kind of restructuring anywhere. Can they actually sustain that level of insane spending seen in the Premier League, or is it all going to fall apart like a house of cards, much like how the Italian league eventually crumbled during its own golden era?

Is this seriously what the future of football looks like—just a giant Hollywood production? The gap between the teams is widening by the day; if you don't have mountains of cash being poured in, you basically stand zero chance of competing on any meaningful stage anymore.

What do you guys think?

Wait, which version are we actually talking about here?!😁

I was just saying that it works even on version 3.7—so there's no way it won't run on 3.6.X...

Everyone? Don't you think you're blowing this way out of proportion?

Show me just one person who claims they're having issues with version 3.6.8.

I've noticed this specific guy tends to bend over backward to please everyone in this thread, and look at what he's saying: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showp...&postcount=754

And I won't even get started on the fact that I've actually seen and used this mod without a single hitch on a vBulletin forum I'm a member of—the version is slightly older than 3.6.8, sure, but it's definitely higher than 3.6.0.😉

Take a quick scroll through this thread, and you'll see it works perfectly fine on version 3.7 too.

I spent half a minute just hunting him down.

They already know—they just don't care, they're too lazy, or they simply lack the resources to deal with it... honestly, they couldn't give a damn if they tried.😉😁

It exists.😉
Bradley Barnes90 said:Look, take the internet as an example—say, on those big sites like Reddit or specialized niche forums. You often see threads posted with links to other boards, but nobody calls that spamming or advertising because the whole point of the thread is to discuss layout, UX, or how to improve the site itself... it's a discussion. But if some random guy with maybe three posts shows up and starts a thread titled "New Forum Alert—come sign up now!", then yeah, that's blatant self-promotion.

I don't see what any of this has to do with intentional—or even unintentional—product propaganda.😕
What’s actually going on here?😁
Look, if you aren't on some corporate payroll for whatever you’re hyping up—and if there isn't some hidden kickback involved—then I don't see the problem. To me, that’s just an honest consumer opinion and a genuine recommendation... not a paid advertisement, at least by my logic.🤷

Is it some kind of rat or just a lizard? 😲

Is that even possible? 😲

If you happen to be living in New York, you might just find an alligator popping out of a seashell...😲

I'm jumping in here to add my congrats to the pile.🙂
granitefox16 said:Man, I've been feeling this for a long time. Is any of this even worth the money, the stress, or actually showing up to the stadium?
What they’re exposing is nothing compared to what's actually happening behind the scenes. Honestly, Roberto Baggio was probably the closest thing we had to someone telling the truth when he said you shouldn't root for anyone—just watch the game for the sake of playing it.🤷

At this point, it’s straight-up masochism... though personally, I'm just a moderate armchair masochist.
The games are rigged, the draws are rigged—I’m telling you, with the Champions League, everyone already knows who’s playing whom two hours before the official announcement, and wouldn't you know it, all the big favorites end up playing their second leg at home... It’s all a setup. Now the betting houses have become the primary sponsors for the clubs and the leagues themselves. Honestly, I am just so sick of dealing with this kind of football... it's infuriating.

Just pin this as a top thread and rename it to "greeting card by Il Bestione & Taylor Gonzalez79" and call it a day. We really don't need all this extra bureaucracy...🙏
