Hard to say, but LeBron really overplayed his hand today—tried way too hard to be the hero and it ended up costing us the championship.
Jordan is a god, a legend, a total icon, but even he isn't perfect. With those terrible calls from the refs, there was no way we were walking away with it. Regardless:
If everything people are saying on the forums is true, then our commentator totally killed the ESPN broadcast—apparently he smashed his monitor and started ripping out some crucial cables... 😁
one of these should hopefully pull through just fine...
edit: also added those 5 links from live-sports-online, should be plenty of options there 🙂
btw, Jerry Fisher41, when did they even post those links over there? All morning it was just the same old stuff from yesterday... that's why I dug up these ones instead
Who would you guys even want to face tomorrow? I honestly think if we played Dance, they'd just run circles around us—it’d be a total blowout. We can't afford to lose the same way twice. They'd probably walk onto the court way too relaxed (kind of like how the French played today) and then just completely fall apart...
I asked in another thread why there wasn't a "Final: USA vs XXX" thread yet—should've just started one myself... No biggie. Even though deep down I had a hunch we might run into the French, the stats were telling me otherwise. Still, seeing how they talked about guys like "Baleric" over on ESPN today—my big American heart was betting on a win. In the finals, anything can happen. New momentum, a massive confidence boost, that feeling where you've got nothing to lose... gold could actually be ours...
If nothing else, I'll definitely sleep better tonight than I did last night...
Anthony Wilson4 said:The announcer on ESPN is saying we’re totally dominating and controlling the flow, even if our lead is thin... and honestly, he's right—we've got a 2-point cushion... offense is up next... let's push for +3... let's go!!!
Look, in a game this intense, any lead feels tiny. True, I'd love to see us up by 5, but...
The announcers on ESPN are acting like we’re totally running the show—saying we've got full control and that the French side better figure something out in the second half or they're gonna be in deep trouble, even though they walked in as the favorites. I love it when the other team thinks they've already won... 🙂
