Well, I just poured myself another one. I haven't even had nearly as much as when we were chatting earlier. 🙂
If that weird little freak—you know, that untouchable genetic glitch—doesn't bother you, then this constant throbbing ache of mine, which keeps shifting shape and intensity, shouldn't either, right? right?
Anyway, I'm definitely drinking tonight just to be safe. And I'm not skipping Tuesday out of spite.😁
I was pulling an all-nighter for you the other night Sorry I couldn't pull through tonight, so you had to step up😢
Next TUESDAY, you're taking the night shift for me. I expect you to be happy, relieved, and actually smiling, because that little mess we dealt with was no joke
And I really hope this painful disaster of mine isn't a big deal either

A comedy? Please. Nah, thanks—that's not really the genre I had in mind.
Patrick Evans said:"Emma," which is based on the Jane Austen novel, just like "Sense and Sensibility." I just have to mention my absolute favorite little gem, "Love is a Gamble"—it’s this gorgeous, sugary sweet romance set back in the 18th century.
If I'm not mistaken, Emma feels like a modern spin on Jane Austen.
"Love is a gamble"??? I don't see any link to that anywhere. What was the original title?
What a ridiculous title... we aren't talking about 18th-century movies specifically, just the themes... But anyway, I really wanted to say that I absolutely adore these three films:
-Dangerous Liaisons (honestly one of my all-time favorites) and -Valmont (which is based on Pierre Choderlos de Laclos' book, Dangerous Liaisons)
and -Sense and Sensibility
All that scheming and playing games behind a mask of politeness and social norms is just 👍 so gripping. So, I was wondering—does anyone have any other similar movies to recommend?
Rita said:Honestly, it’s a joke. They seriously need to overhaul this voting system because the UK and the rest of Western Europe are basically on borrowed time here.🙄
And let's be real—Germany, France, and the UK have massive populations compared to those tiny newly formed Eastern European nations. They really ought to implement some kind of "weighted" voting system.
For instance, you might have over a million viewers tuning in from Sweden, while Malta barely gets 500. But right now, a vote from both counts exactly the same.😵
Spot on. Forget beef bouillon; just use onion broth. Season it with some plant-based salt, then just shovel it in by the gallon. It basically has negative calories!
I saw it a long time ago it’s definitely not anything new; it’s been out for years now it feels a bit forced, like they were trying way too hard with the jokes it just leans on a bunch of tired clichés but honestly, there were a few genuinely good moments I’d give it a 2+ out of 5
Talk about timing. A buddy was asking me if I knew the name of some new American indie flick that’s supposedly sweeping every awards show and getting rave reviews from critics everywhere. I went on a total scavenger hunt online, starting my search at the IMF website (no luck there), and finally stumbled onto IMDb where I thought maybe he meant *Witnesses*. Then I pop on here and see people are already talking about it just as I’ve opened this thread.🙂
Anyone know where I can grab a download for this movie?
Even my daughter was scratching her head when she was learning our language In Swedish (and obviously in English), there’s actually no connection to the color blue; it’s its own distinct word: blond I wonder how other languages handle this? Did Americans pick this up from somewhere else, or is it just a local quirk of ours?😉
Michelle Howard2 said:Since we're talking numbers, I was wondering what the average salary looks like over in Sweden.
Well, yeah, the paychecks are definitely bigger. Let's say two or three times higher if you're looking at take-home pay. But then again, everything else costs a fortune too... like rent. My own place isn't even fancy, but it costs about as much as an average salary back in America... (Man, we really drifted off topic. Michelle Howard2, let's get back to the economy part. 😉)
Jose Miller17 said:Oh, great job, Doc...😍 .... I was actually wondering about that too... let's check out what those damn tickets cost... down in Miami: Evening show: $6.75 (with a discount, 16 ) Matinee: $5.25 (with a discount, 12😁) .. Man, 10 Euros!!!🙄
So, what’s the damage for a ticket in Washington, D.C.?
I honestly don't get why they bother collecting ticket fees out West, though maybe somewhere like Sweden handles things similarly with that idea of earmarking funds specifically for the domestic film industry. But trust me, it isn't cheap: you're looking at about 7 to 10 Euro per ticket. 🙂

He doesn't waste his time with small fry, especially not people who've been banned more times than I can count. The guy's got a delicate heart; we need to back slydrifter39. 🙂
Come find me on some other forum and I'll give you a real lesson. 🙂
I walk through town armed with nothing but a smile. The bells are ringing on a Sunday, reminding me where I belong. My name doesn't really matter—it's the intention that truly separates one person from the next.
I don't need a guide to show me the way; I don't want one. At the end of the day, my head still belongs to me.
You have to crawl a little before you can learn to walk. And when reality finally hits you all at once, just get up, stand tall, and hold your head high.
Don't give up. Sing love songs. And if you need to let out some Weeping, do it when no one is watching.
Come on, a few lines of lyrics might actually do you some good It helps more than you think Then just blast it
I Paid my dues
'Cause I'm too proud, I'm too strong Live by the code that you gotta move on Feeling sorry for yourself ain’t got nobody nowhere
so I... (Held my head high) Knew I (Knew I survive) Well I made it (I made it) I don't hate it (Don't hate it) That's just the way it goes Yeah I done made it through Stand on my own two I paid my dues, yeah Tried to hold me down You can't stop me now I paid my dues
