And that’s exactly the point right there. You aren't any better off—if anything, you're actually worse!

Honestly, I’m not even that interested... I was just wondering which category this falls under... Is it considered psychosomatic?
And yeah, I stay far away from TV series. 😢
The downside of being a total cinephile in Movies ·
Since we pretty much know everything about every movie before it even drops... why even bother hitting the theater? It’s no wonder cinemas everywhere are shutting down their doors for good...🙄 😕

So, what exactly is it, and how does it actually show up?😕

Thanks... I saw it and shot back a reply...👋

Here I am again... so I just found out today that "my" physical therapist is seeing a patient at a local preschool!
Basically, it's a kid who had a stroke, so they're dealing with that same left-side paralysis that I am.😢

Look, the issue is all you as long as you can't stand on your own two feet....

Stop dragging your family into this mess... you're just passing the buck.

The real issue here is my old man didn't have a single thing to his name by the time he hit 35!😁

I did a little digging online, but came up totally empty handed.😢

She’s been off the radar for ages. Totally vanished.😢

Thanks. Wish you'd said that sooner! 😉

My PT just left about half an hour ago after we knocked out our first 40-minute session together. She’s such a sweet, energetic kid... she's coming back tomorrow. I've got 40-minute sessions scheduled five times a week!

I even showed her what I've been working on lately... 😁

Anyway, we're both feeling pretty good about it so far. Honestly? A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. The fear is finally starting to fade.

Has anyone brought up propolis yet?

A few drops twice a day is great for boosting your immunity. It's natural and won't break the bank either...

Casey Palmer5 said:[Hey, if you get the chance to head to a spa, I’d highly recommend Palm Springs. Their neuro-trauma department is incredible—they have amazing therapists who specialize in the Bobath concept and get great results with hemiparesis (not sure where you're at right now, just guessing).]

Thanks so much for reaching out! I’ve been trying to keep up with my exercises and massages constantly, but now I'm dealing with a new issue—my hand and fingers are swelling up...

I’ve actually been seeing Stubbs, but honestly, I have zero clue which kind of spa treatments are even safe for me to use... plus, I still need to get an appointment lined up with Stubbs.

I'm waiting for things to "settle down" a bit before I can go see my primary care doctor for a real, deep-dive conversation.
Right now, I'm just waiting on my husband to get home. He’s trying to handle the talking for me, but let's be real—it’s never quite the same as speaking for yourself. It feels like everyone is dodging a direct, honest talk with me. Like I'm some kid or totally losing my mind... 😁

My biggest struggle has always been how easily people try to "dismiss" me without much explanation, while I’m over here fighting like a lioness for everyone else.

What do you call the recovery process after surviving a major illness?

So, after leaving the ICU and getting back home, I got a recommendation for a physical therapist out in Palm Springs, and that’s where the "struggle" started.

The PT isn't coming by until tomorrow, and honestly, my recovery is feeling pretty rough—which is frustrating because nobody actually told me what to expect after a "procedure" like this.

I'm sticking to my prescribed meds, and that's about it. The only real win so far is that for three days straight, my head hasn't been absolutely pounding—just some minor throbbing in the morning to remind me it was there... plus my blood pressure finally leveled out.

But, oh boy... my left arm and leg are just getting worse. They keep swelling up. I guess that's why they ordered the physical therapy, right?

I'll find out tomorrow once we start and if I can even manage to hold a conversation to get some actual answers.

This sudden lack of mobility is hitting me hard. I used to be super active, and now I'm stuck relying on people for basic, everyday stuff. Like, I can't even turn on the gas to boil water because I can't use my left hand to hold the knob while my right one tries to light it...
Thank God I have an electric stove, so I managed to heat things up that way... still, it’s exhausting. Even typing this is a chore—every time I need a capital letter, I have to struggle to position my left index finger just to hit Shift so I don't waste what little strength I have left in those fingers.

I'm worried that even this tiny bit of typing counts as exercise to keep my left arm from seizing up completely. You really have no clue how much you rely on your left hand until it stops working.

Nobody even bothered to ask me what kind of anesthesia I wanted, and honestly, I didn't give a damn about the details.
I just signed whatever paperwork they shoved under my nose. I was brought in as an emergency case, and when things get urgent... well, you know how it goes.

I tried to play a little game with them, though. They had a nurse trying to push some papers my way for a signature, so I grabbed my pen... read through it, and then wrote in the wrong date—not the one they were looking for! By the third day, they ended up pinning it on some young doctor (one of the few people there who actually introduced themselves), and I just scribbled my name without looking twice. 😉

Maybe, but let's keep it to the same day. 🙂
It’s actually pretty common and usually nothing to worry about. My sister had one once, but she wouldn't even bother seeing a doctor until it started getting annoying. Eventually, she just had it surgically removed over a decade ago. She’s 70 now, and even though she deals with all sorts of health stuff, that lump is long gone.

Back in the day, people used to call those harmless little tumors "wild meat."

Getting the facts is the only way to stop worrying. Sometimes they don't even bother operating if they're still in that "growing" phase. Who knows how she's doing now?

Tyler Baker68 actually spotted this persona back in the day on August 23, 2000 (was it that, or maybe August 19th?)

Which one was it exactly? Help me out here! 😉

Tyler Baker68 said:You're typing more now than when you were using two hands!

Is that because of that thing about people who struggle? Like, if you can't do it, you just gotta try harder! 😁

Anyway, taking advantage of the downtime here... just waiting for my physical therapist to call me back with a start time, and still waiting to snag a spot at Stubak. Can you believe it? I've never even been to Stubak in my entire life! I was always way more interested in Mount Rainier or the Skating rink! 😁👋

(I've been to Chattanooga, Rogaška, Radenac... ages ago.)

Just a quick reminder to everyone about those old-school Vienna Forest School vibes... Tyler actually ran into this persona back in the day, like August 23rd, 2000 (or was it the 19th?) over some pancakes or whatever they call them!😉
