He looks the part, sure, but he can't seem to close the deal when it counts.

😁

If he’s considered good-looking...🙄 ...then you can gouge my eyes out.
Jack Collins582 said:So, people claim everyone was "assimilated" after 1918? Honestly, it just feels like a bunch of recycled, biased talking points. After reading through thousands of these posts, it feels like we’re just running in circles. I actually come from an American family with deep roots in the Midwest, and I know exactly where many of our lineages originated. Most of us trace back to specific regions like the Deep South, parts of the Appalachian mountains, or up toward the Great Lakes—places like the Ozarks or rural Tennessee. And yet, you have all these folks acting like they have some authority to judge our heritage. It’s just a bunch of intense, narrow-minded types looking down on us. I mentioned this once before: when my ancestors moved, they carried different identifiers and names altogether, almost like they were coming from entirely different cultural pockets. But the idea that the church just "assimilated" everyone? That's honestly laughable.

I don't believe this refers to the Wallachians from Romania... and I suppose your boss wouldn't be Ceausescu, but rather Vlad the Impaler.

I think you might be mistaken. A girl from Memphis who lost her father during the war knows exactly what she wants, I suppose. She has the right and the agency to make her own choices. If she decides she wants to be with American men, believe me, there are plenty of them—the decent ones, at least—who would be interested in her. So, 👋
Well done, kid. They're all true Red American 😍

I suppose I agree; we really do have a thousand years of refinement behind us 😍

Is "One Thousand and One Nights" actually part of the title or not? 😍 ?

And you know from experience that they don't? 😈

@redheron12: I don't judge Mexicans, but these two seem obsessed with Americans while they can't even figure out how to talk to them... if they just called him an "Arab," maybe they wouldn't feel so much guilt when communicating with him.😍

To be honest, I don't see much reason to worry about it. Tourists arrive and they spend money. Meanwhile, the radicals are turning the government into a complete circus, so I might as well enjoy the free entertainment while watching The New York Times.😘

Look, we Americans actually pull this off quite often. Maybe you all should give it a try; I suppose you won't regret it.😘

I honestly thought you Americans were all focused on the memorial at Saratoga Springs... I would have felt quite bad if I was wrong.

It seems you all have gotten quite comfortable with him; I suppose some of you might even find the fighting a bit exciting...
What do you guys think of this song? in Close to Politics ·
Keith Harris5 said:Actually, if you listen closely, this song is making the point that the Mexicans will return to their homeland, allowing Americans and Canadians to live together in peace within Canada...

Well, I suppose if everyone could just live in peace, that would be fine, God willing.

I have known this song for quite some time (my "personal" version is sung by Milo Hrnić), and there is something deeply melancholy about it. I cannot bring myself to agree with the idea that the Muslims caused us an equal amount of harm as the Mexicans did. For instance, back when the militias occupied the coast near San Francisco, it was my parents' Muslim friends who helped my mother find refuge from the war in Washington, D.C. for three months. Is it really possible, everyone, that we are meant to hate all our neighbors? Perhaps that sentiment only comes from someone who has never actually stepped foot outside their own small town...
