That is actually a test for H. pylori. I went through it myself and my results came back around $100, if I recall correctly. I had the procedure done at Mayo Clinic since they serve as the specialized center for H. pylori testing. Essentially, you just drink a glass of juice and then blow into a balloon after about 60 minutes...
Jewelry allergy help! in Health ·
I happen to suffer from jewelry allergies myself. I constantly get told how "fancy" my condition is, simply because I’m pretty much restricted to wearing nothing but solid gold or sterling silver.
Managing Diabetes in Health ·
Honestly, I’m completely lost here. Could you please just be explicit about what your levels were on an empty stomach versus after breakfast?
Besides, none of those numbers really carry much weight until you actually perform a glucose tolerance test.

And what exactly are we supposed to do about that?
If you're dealing with diabetes, you're likely facing a fungal infection as well...
Dealing with gut yeast overgrowth? in Health ·
Well, if you truly believe you can settle this entire issue with just a single dose of Dante, then you’re facing a rather minor inconvenience... though I suppose you're being quite optimistic. Honestly, I don't think I've ever encountered anyone who dealt with a candidiasis infection and found that one pill of Dante cleared everything up by the following day. In my own experience, I did use Dante, but it was always accompanied by several other medications to actually make it effective. But hey, if your little experiment fails, you might want to consider using my link...
Stomach ulcer help needed in Health ·
In my own experience, acupuncture proved to be quite transformative... I had been relying on various medications for years, but after trying acupuncture, I haven't dealt with any stomach pain for about two years now.

That’s Dante. But if you actually believe you can just knock this thing out with a single capsule, then I suppose you're being a bit naive...

I can't say I have any definitive answers for you on this matter... though I suppose this might offer some sort of assistance, if nothing else...

Burst sewage pipe? in Health ·
dustyowl29 said:@Roger Garcia9, if you really want to get ahead of this, I’d suggest the same heavy-duty antibiotic regimen I had to go through...
I'm talking doxycycline—both shots and pills—paired with some cranberry supplements.
The thing about UTIs is that you have to knock them out completely within a two-week window—otherwise, they turn chronic within about a month, and then you're looking at a real nightmare to fix.
Good luck..

Thanks... but I have already completed two full rounds of antibiotics, and I don't particularly have the desire to go through that again... so I am going to stick with this cranberry supplement instead.

I picked up a version from Nature Made that includes Cranactin... it is specifically formulated for E. coli because, as I mentioned before, Cranactin supposedly prevents the bacteria from adhering to the bladder wall... and I have heard from several people that it actually works. The only issue, I suppose, is that one probably needs to take it for at least two months to see any real results.

Well, I’ve been dealing with an E. coli issue myself, so I recently picked up some cranberry capsules fortified with PACs—proanthocyanidins. It’s one of those supplements designed to prevent bacteria from adhering to the bladder wall, which I suppose is its primary function... though, if I recall correctly, it might be one of the only supplements specifically formulated that way.
AT&T issues? in Health ·
Thanks... I was actually wondering how this process works here in the States. In my experience, they only ever checked my blood sugar before meals and again two hours after eating, so I was curious about how these protocols differ out here...
AT&T issues? in Health ·
I was wondering if someone might be able to provide a bit more detail regarding AT&T? I am actually scheduled to go in for some glucose testing at the Mayo Clinic, and I was curious if anyone here has been through the process before. I suppose I’m wondering how long the whole thing typically takes, how many times they need to draw blood, and whether I should follow a specific diet or fast beforehand...??? thanks...
Disappearing in plain sight in Health ·
I believe this has already been mentioned somewhere else... but I suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead and get tested for HIV... after all, there are certain issues surfacing that seem to point toward a significantly weakened immune system...
Dealing with depression in Health ·
The persona you’ve developed seems to be a textbook reaction to a lack of parental affection during those formative years... things like low self-esteem, social withdrawal, and antisocial tendencies are all quite common. In many cases, this is also where Borderline Personality Disorder begins to take root.
Ultimately, you're on your own here, and I suspect you can't just fix this by yourself. As you mentioned, when life throws certain situations your way, his insults probably just loop endlessly in your mind. If you don't find a way to push back or set boundaries, I fear it might leave a permanent mark on you, potentially making it difficult to function normally in the long run.
I found myself in a very similar situation when I was sixteen, and I eventually realized that when you're that young, you simply aren't equipped to heal on your own.
It feels like you have more than enough material here to warrant seeing a professional; I truly believe specialized psychological help is necessary for you at this stage.
Best of luck!

I suppose you could always just opt for cranberry supplements instead; you can find them in capsule form $39 containing about 60 capsules per bottle... specifically that Cranberry Power from Nature Made

I suppose when Renée Zellweger was tasked with packing on about 45 pounds for her role as Bridget Jones, she apparently decided to just devour ten glazed donuts every single day... and after two months of that, there was the 45 pounds. I guess that’s one way to do it, if you don't mind the sugar crash.
