I was wondering if anyone might be able to provide some insight here... I suppose I took a 2 mg Normabell this morning while fasting, just before heading in to have my blood drawn. I'm curious if that could potentially interfere with the results of a complete blood count.
Period talk: Questions and advice

Those women weren't actually looking for brainstorming sessions or creative ideas; they were simply looking for a definitive solution. I suppose your personal stance against contraception is largely irrelevant to the core issue at hand here.

Perhaps it might be worth considering starting on birth control about a month before you plan to take your vacation, just so you can effectively push back your cycle.

I was wondering if anyone here happens to see Dr. Meštrović over at the clinic on Petrov? I'm curious to hear if anyone has any thoughts or experiences they might be willing to share. Thanks.

I suppose I would also be quite grateful for those details. I have an upcoming tonsillectomy scheduled, so I’ll likely be spending about three days in the hospital.
Anyone else terrified of getting blood drawn?

Lisa Martin50 said:It’s honestly terrifying; I tend to black out quite regularly, which is a phobia I suppose I don't have an equivalent for elsewhere.😢
So, you just lose consciousness? That sounds almost pleasant compared to my experience. Whenever I start to pass out, I seem to deal with tachycardia, diarrhea, and vomiting; I get drenched in sweat, my vision goes dark, and there's this constant ringing in my ears...
Discharge (bloody, purulent...), white wash... - general questions

From what I’ve gathered while reading up on this, once the fertilized cell actually manages to nest itself, you might start noticing some bloody discharge...

I find myself facing this exact same predicament. My legs are built in such a specific way that I seem destined to wear out every single pair of jeans I own right in that one spot. I suppose I’m still searching for a way to actually resolve it.
Butt acne/breakouts

I suppose she’ll have to be the one to determine whether she’s actually dealing with acne or boils. Since acne typically doesn't present itself in a way that allows for squeezing, whereas boils tend to be quite purulent and can be expressed, I suspect—though I could be mistaken—that what she's experiencing is likely just acne.
Tachycardia or what?

I find that my heart rhythm becomes irregular at various points during the day, though it seems most frequent when I'm lying in bed trying to sleep. It feels as though the regular beat just pauses for a moment, followed by a sudden, intense pounding, before eventually settling back into a normal rhythm, only for the cycle to repeat itself. I am a smoker, and I've been told this might be linked to nicotine use or perhaps just general stress. I suppose I am torn on whether I should pursue more diagnostic testing or if this is something I shouldn't worry too much about.
Thanks...🙂
I don't think I can provide any definitive medical details, though I experienced something very similar myself, which is precisely why I decided to see a cardiologist. Generally speaking, the recommendation I received was to strictly avoid caffeine and energy drinks, such as Red Bull. My doctor suggested that these "skipped beats" aren't necessarily dangerous in themselves, provided they originate in the atria; they are mostly just uncomfortable. However, if the issue is actually coming from the ventricles, then further treatment is required. I guess you won't really know for sure until you have a Holter monitor test performed.

Regarding that acne lotion, I don't believe a prescription is required, though I suppose I can't be entirely certain about Clindamycin. In my case, I didn't actually receive a formal prescription; rather, I simply presented my medical history showing that this specific therapy had been recommended to me previously. As I recall, Clindamycin was available $13 whereas the lotion was closer to $6.75.

I used to deal with quite a bit of acne across my back. My dermatologist suggested it was likely due to some sort of skin thickening, though I suppose I didn't fully grasp the clinical implications of what that actually meant at the time. To manage it, I ended up picking up an over-the-counter acne lotion and a 2% Clindamycin topical solution from the pharmacy. I made it a habit to apply one in the morning and the other in the evening. Eventually, after struggling with it for a few years, the issue cleared up entirely and hasn't really bothered me since.
Tachycardia or what?

That doesn't really mean much if those extrasystoles aren't supraventricular... my own results showed significantly higher values than yours (average pulse at 95, peaking at 170...)
but since all the extrasystoles were ventricular, I suppose everything is fine...
the most critical factor is whether your heart rate remains steady while you sleep; if your rhythm isn't normal during sleep, then you might actually have cause for concern. otherwise, you don't even realize how many variables can influence your heart rhythm throughout the day. for instance, one probably doesn't give much thought to things like barometric pressure, humidity, or various biometrological forecasts, yet all of those factors can impact the heart

Don't wash your hair during your period?!? WTF

stormycrane44 said:Whenever I get my period, I usually end up being completely out of commission by the second day because it’s just unbearable. It’s either this abnormal bleeding or just general, widespread pain... I suppose my biggest worry is how I'll manage once I actually start working, since right now, being a college student allows me the luxury of just staying in bed most of the time.
Well, once you enter the workforce, lying in bed won't really be an option anymore. I imagine you'll just have to pop two Advil on an empty stomach and push through your daily tasks, especially since you can't exactly expect a manager to ask, "Hey, are you having cramps? Why didn't you just stay home today?"🤣🤣

A friend of mine actually tried that because her migraines were becoming absolutely unbearable. She stuck with it for a full month, and every single session cost her $167. In the end, I suppose it didn't help her one bit...

I suppose I might start feeling an intense itchiness after about a week; if I were to go nine months without washing my hair, I imagine I would end up scratching my scalp until it bled.

In India, women don't even wash their hair during the entire pregnancy... so we're talking about a full nine months

Just one dose of Ginkgo Biloba a day and the whole thing is sorted. I’ve personally tested it, and honestly, it worked just as well for me too...
Healthcare corruption: What's your take?

Personally, I have never encountered such a situation. For any medical screenings or specialist appointments that would typically involve an extensive waiting list, I suppose I would simply opt for a private clinic and get everything sorted out there immediately.
