Weakest one yet.
Lawrence looks completely wrecked; it’s not just the weight, his eyes look jaundiced. He’s just fidgeting constantly. Everyone is overacting—that captain was screaming through the whole thing. Guess that’s his "thing," so he figured since he's filming a 4th one anyway, he might as well kick the bucket early.
The kid takes out cops and federal prosecutors while Dad handles some shady deal to set up part 4.🤦
The timeline is a mess. They claim they were together at the academy, but then Smith explains how they kicked him out for a secret assignment, which the other guy knows nothing about. Plus, by the time the kid is born, they’ve supposedly been partners and detectives for years. They could've at least tried to make the story make sense.

I just grabbed mine through the News Corp web store.

Seems like everyone’s losing their minds lately... 🤣Can't find it anywhere.
Found it here, finally.

I went to my OB-GYN and he barely said anything... Just did the ultrasound and an exam, now I’m stuck waiting on the Pap results. Asked him if my period would show up, but he wasn't sure. Could happen, could not.🙄My back and stomach hurt like it's coming, and today is day 28—it's never late. I had that stretchy discharge mid-cycle and thought it was ovulation, but now my doctor is saying that isn't necessarily a sign. Probably is, probably isn't.🤦
I'd probably have more answers if I'd seen Milan Vidovit instead. All he told me was that if my period does come, it won't be heavy.

My period started yesterday. No real cramps, which is weird because I usually feel like I'm dying. My breasts finally stopped aching, too. But today, it's just this brownish discharge. This whole cycle was super short—only 20 days. I did have fertile mucus about two weeks ago, though. Does that mean I actually ovulated, or was this just a cycle without ovulation?🤔Or maybe this isn't even a period, just some spotting?🤔
I’ve got an appointment with my OB-GYN next week, but if anyone knows anything, please tell me something to ease the anxiety. My mom had a uterine tumor and things started out looking a lot like this...

The Woman in the Window in Movies ·
Michael Ortiz68 said:Original? Please. The book came out in 2018. It might borrow some vibes from Rear Window, but calling it a remake is a stretch.

The book is fine, I guess. Just a blatant attempt to ride the coattails of The Girl on the Train. The movie will probably be the same—here today, gone tomorrow.

He's probably thinking of that old black-and-white flick, that "murder with a look" thing or whatever.
All it had was some guy with a broken leg getting bored and spotting a murder.

Solid movie. Actually made me laugh for once. Honestly, the plot holds up better than the first one.
Watching how Hart, Black, and The Rock handled those two old guys 😲😲 was pretty great.
Really liked the scene with the horse—beautiful animal. 😍😍
Managing Bipolar Disorder in the Workplace in Psychology & Therapy ·
Gary Morris2 said:Hey everyone! 👋

I figured I’d share my "story" here because I honestly want to hear what you guys think. I already know what my family, my boyfriend, my friends, and even my frenemies have to say about all this, but I’m looking for some more objective perspectives from people out there.

So, I’m 30 and I’m from Washington, D.C. For the last two years, I’ve been with my boyfriend, who’s just a year older than me. I actually spent a huge chunk of my life living abroad. I spent way too long studying law before eventually dropping out when I got sick.

Back in 2014, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder. I’ve been in treatment for it since March 2014. I’ve ended up hospitalized ten times—sometimes for self-harm, sometimes just to get my meds adjusted—and I’ve done things like shoplifting, shaving my head, DIY piercing, and I even had to undergo eight rounds of ECT. Right now, I’m on a medication regimen that actually seems to be working. Like, for the first time in forever, I actually feel like a "normal" person.

Personality-wise, I’m pretty open and upbeat. I love reading and have a million different interests. I tend to lean toward hypomania—you know, that excess energy, being a bit theatrical, cleaning things that are already clean, or doing stuff with OCD tendencies—so when I crash back down to baseline, I register it as depression, even though I don't really lean toward the depressive side. My mom and brother do, though.

For the past year or so, my main struggle has revolved around work. Earlier this year, I worked at this call center, but I only lasted three months before I just totally snapped. It was one of those situations where they expected more, faster, harder... you know how it goes. I tried as hard as I could, mainly because I’m someone who is obsessively focused on what other people think of me. I know I shouldn't be, but I am. 🤷

I spent about nine years studying law without ever getting anywhere. Eventually, I walked away from it and pivoted to an Open University.

After that, I grabbed a summer job at a drugstore. I worked there through the summer doing everything from the register to stocking shelves and warehouse work. During the last month, I started making these little mistakes with the till. Most of the time I was in a hypomanic state—super talkative and high energy—and I’d mess up the cash counts, which meant I ended up paying the difference out of my own pocket at the end of my shifts.

Anyway, my meds were changed, and I was basically walking around the register like a total zombie, so I was essentially forced to quit because I just couldn't function. My coworkers started avoiding me, and customers would give me these worried looks like, "Is she gonna pass out on the floor or 🤔?"

Less than two weeks later, I landed my current job. Same old story, though—another call center. Customer support. The environment is actually great, the crew is awesome, and the first paycheck was more than enough, especially since everyone else there is going through similar stuff. But today, for the second time, I didn't show up for work because the second I stepped out the door, my heart started racing so hard I thought it would jump out of my chest.

I spend my day taking call after call, I don't get a single word of peace during my 30-minute break, and I mostly survive on junk food from the vending machines. About 99% of my job is just repeating, "I apologize on behalf of [someone halfway across the world who screwed something up]," while the people on the phone are swearing, yelling, screaming, or threatening me. And then I just sit there like a parrot saying, "I apologize..." and they just snap back with, "Like hell you ________." You get the idea. One call like that? Fine. But after eight hours of it, I feel like my ears are literally going to bleed. 😲

The thing is, I'm someone who genuinely loves to work. The idea of just sitting at home, popping pills and watching soap operas doesn't appeal to me at all. Being able to work and having that sense of financial independence is huge for my mental health. Plus, things are great with my boyfriend; we're planning on moving in together next year.

So yeah, this year I finished my retraining and cycled through three different jobs.

Every time I've had a major breakup or shift in my life, it starts with these morning or evening crying spells. I started taking sedatives that used to be just for emergencies, but now they're a regular part of my routine, along with panic attacks and all that.

I mean, I really do want to work. And look, I get it—working in a call center where you can't even see the person on the other end means you shouldn't take things personally, but spending eight hours a day basically apologizing for stuff that isn't even my fault, only to sit there and listen to people spewing absolute filth... man, I can barely stomach it. It’s just not for me.

Everyone around me keeps telling me I need to toughen up. And I know, I get it, I really do. I'm trying. But apparently, my subconscious isn't having any of it, because my heart is practically jumping out of my chest every single time.

What do you guys think about all this? 🍿

If nothing else, thanks for listening, guys! 🙂

You need a different kind of job. Somewhere where you don't have to deal with people, but can still use your strengths.
Maybe cleaning vacation rentals in the summer? Or housekeeping?
What you're doing right now isn't meant for people like us. We can't just "toughen up."
My husband, who has nerves of steel and is great with people, says he can't handle his current job anymore either.
Find something else. If you're in a big city like Chicago, you'll have plenty of options.

Gone Girl (2018) in Movies ·
Watched it yesterday. Honestly, I wasn't even feeling it at first because Kendrick is in it, and she just gives me weird vibes.🤔
It’s an okay movie. A bit of comedy here, a bit of mystery there, but since it dragged on for two hours, they could've spent less time showing off Blake and her designer outfits and more time actually fixing the plot, which was pretty weak. Also, I just couldn't wrap my head around why Sean would fall for her or be attracted to her. To me, she's just plain, unsexy—kind of looks like a kid. They don't work as a couple at all.
And it felt pretty stupid that she ends up with the house in the end. Like, how does that even happen?🤔
The soundtrack sucked.
The husband is a total sweetheart.🙂

brightheron64 said:It's total nonsense to me too. A Black paratrooper in the 101st Airborne is about as likely as bringing the dead back to life with tar.

Still, since we're talking about it, there was one Black parachute unit back then (the 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion), but instead of combat, they just sent them to fight forest fires all over the US. They weren't even integrated into the 82nd Airborne until late '47.

I watched some documentary about Black soldiers in WWII, and this guy mentioned they might have been there, but strictly as cleaners or cooks. Usually, they weren't even allowed near the fighting.
boldano🤣🤣
The sergeant would've made way more sense as the lead than this guy.

Decent, fun enough movie. Production design and sound were top-tier.👍👍Just don't get why they cast two Black actors when this is supposed to be about WWII.🤔
Honestly, there’s no way they would have even been in the same league as that elite 101st Airborne Division, let alone commanding them.☕
The woman with the flamethrower? Total badass.👍
Hunter Killer (2018) in Movies ·
Watched it yesterday. It’s nothing but clichés. Predictable plot, and the guy playing the Russian president? Zero charisma. Just a shallow performance.👎
I honestly don't get what Butler was even doing here. He's just been stuck in one bad movie after another lately.
It's basically Steven Seagal meets Last Ship, except they swapped the setting for a submarine.

Look... just go see a Psychic therapist out in the suburbs. They've seen it all with this kind of medication. If you’re already hooked on standard sleep aids, these could hit you even harder. Better to figure out why you can't sleep in the first place and fix the root cause.
Check out that thread and see.

Doctors sometimes prescribe low doses of antipsychotics just to help people sleep. I went through the same struggle with insomnia and ended up on Vera, which is an antipsychotic used for schizophrenia.
It can cause some weight gain, so watch out for that, and you'll probably feel like a zombie until your body adjusts.
Caffeine pills: thoughts? in Health ·
Jose Flores32 said:So, how many were you taking a day when that happened? I mean, did you overdose or did it just flare up out of nowhere? Personally, I wouldn't touch more than one pill a day...

I was on one a day for a long time. By the time you feel symptoms, the damage is done.
The other day I read in the news about some guy in the States taking green tea extract—supposedly "100% natural." His liver failed and now he’s waiting on a transplant.☕
If caffeine in coffee isn't great, concentrated stuff in capsules is even worse.
The hand tremors are the least of your worries. You've got high blood pressure, anxiety, heart palpitations to deal with too.
I get needing it to study, but really, think about it. Is school worth your health?
I don't believe you're struggling enough in class to need caffeine just to keep up.
Try Maca capsules for focus, or maybe some B-complex from Nature Made.
Don't play games with your body. I wish someone had warned me what I know now.😉

I was wondering if anyone here has actually tried those caffeine pills from GNC. Does anyone know if they cause any weird side effects? I’m not really much of an athlete or anything—mostly just looking for something to help me focus during long study sessions since I can't stand the taste of coffee.

Could wreck your stomach. Ulcers, heartburn... I took something similar once and now I've been dealing with chronic gastritis for years.☕
